Chapter Forty-Eight: An Unexpected Kiss
While Qing Tian was lost in thought, the Man in Black picked her up and walked out of the room.
She was startled by the sudden hug and struggled to get down from the Man in Black’s arms, but he wouldn’t let her, coldly saying, “Don’t you know your ankle is sprained?”
Qing Tian awkwardly twisted to look down. Who knew this movement was too big, and whether the Man in Black did it on purpose or not, they both fell to the ground spectacularly. Moreover, the Man in Black was on top of her, a feeling that truly challenged the limits of her heart like never before.
He was on top of her, his eyes seemed to have a spark, making Qing Tian immediately surrender. Especially when the Man in Black spoke to her, she felt her entire heart melting. The warm, moist air he exhaled as he spoke directly touched her face, causing a tingling sensation that was quite uncomfortable.
The Man in Black frowned and said, “You’d better listen to me. You’re not in a condition to resist right now. Besides, I don’t have any special thoughts about a flat-chested girl like you!”
The good impression Qing Tian had just developed instantly vanished.
Heaven save her. This man had just heroically rescued her, and in the next second, he started insulting her. Qing Tian was speechless for the first time with someone; usually, others were speechless with her.
Seeing her tangled little expression, the Man in Black became interested. He continued to ask teasingly, “Are you saying you want me to do something to you?”
Qing Tian immediately pulled her collar tighter and said guiltily, “Are you sick? Who wants to do anything with you?”
The Man in Black placed his hands on either side of Qing Tian’s head, looking down at her. Qing Tian rolled her eyes and reached out to push his chest, but she accidentally touched his wound. The Man in Black gasped, “Hiss…”
Immediately after, he pretended to lose his balance and fell back into Qing Tian’s arms. Who knew that during this process, their lips accidentally met.
Qing Tian’s eyes widened. She pushed the Man in Black hard and said indignantly, “Damn it, you sneak attacked me! My first kiss was supposed to be for Ji Xiang…” She realized she almost let slip.
The Man in Black rubbed his wound in pain and asked, “Why did you stop? Who was your first kiss supposed to be for?”
Qing Tian’s face turned cold, and she said indifferently, “It’s none of your business.”
Then she pushed the Man in Black again and stood up. As her foot touched the ground, the pain was excruciating. The Man in Black was right; she had sprained it, and it was a severe sprain!
She had barely taken a step when the Man in Black, lying on the ground, looked like he was in great pain. She had intended to leave, but the Man in Black was groaning there, “Ouch… it seems to be bleeding again!”
Qing Tian, remembering he had saved her, crouched down and asked with concern, “Are you okay?”
The Man in Black became even more dramatic and shamelessly hooked his arm around Qing Tian’s neck. With a flip, he pinned her beneath him and, with his sexy lips, said teasingly to Qing Tian, “You have to take responsibility!”
Qing Tian reached out to create a distance between them, but she didn’t even get a chance to move her hand.
The Man in Black grabbed her hand and said in a very teasing tone, “I saved your life, shouldn’t you show some appreciation?”
Qing Tian played dumb, “Appreciation? Can you stand up and talk to me?”
The Man in Black said domineeringly, “Not unless you promise to show some appreciation!”
Qing Tian looked troubled but continued to play dumb, “Actually, sometimes, well, doing good deeds doesn’t necessarily mean you get rewarded. Don’t people often do good deeds with no expectation of return?”
The Man in Black shook his head after listening. “I’m not an ordinary person, so doing good deeds for me must have corresponding rewards to some extent!”
Qing Tian was almost at her breaking point. She continued to weakly persuade him, “But you’re so famous. Wouldn’t it be embarrassing if word got out that you bullied a defenseless weak woman?”
The Man in Black continued earnestly, “I’m not bullying you, and you don’t have any iron in your hands!”
Three vertical lines appeared on Qing Tian’s forehead. Fine, this Man in Black was so unreasonable and barbaric. If this continued, she would be suffocated by him.
Qing Tian looked at his determined gaze and finally surrendered, “Alright, do as you please, kill me or whatever!”
After saying that, she closed her eyes tightly. After waiting for almost a minute, there was still no movement from the Man in Black.
Then she heard a burst of laughter. She opened her eyes and saw the Man in Black laughing heartily.
While laughing, he said, “I didn’t expect you to be quite cute. You’re really making me laugh…”
Qing Tian knew she had been tricked by the Man in Black. Her face darkened, and she said coldly, “Do you think this is funny? Is it funny to treat others like fools?”
After speaking, she got up, kicked the Man in Black out of frustration, and then limped to the bedside, sitting there sulking and saying nothing.
The Man in Black also composed himself and became as cold as before. He walked to Qing Tian’s side and said, “You must be hungry. Let’s eat first so you have the energy to be angry!”
Qing Tian said stubbornly, “Who’s angry!”
The Man in Black patiently said, “Okay, okay, my Miss, you’re not angry, I’m angry, alright? What time is it? Even if you’re not hungry, I am!”
Qing Tian still ignored him.
The next second, the Man in Black scooped her up by the waist. This time, no matter how Qing Tian struggled, he walked in a straight line.
In the end, Qing Tian stopped struggling. However, she felt that this Man in Black was so familiar with her, and there was a familiar scent about him.
