Chapter Sixty-Eight: Oath
In the corridor of the police station, Xia Yang asked Qing Tian, “Why did you follow me?”
Qing Tian smiled wryly, looking at the floor, and said silently, “This is all because of me that you got hurt!”
Xia Yang looked at the small cut on his arm and laughed, “This little injury is nothing, it’s a piece of cake for me!”
Hearing his words, Qing Tian felt a deep sadness within them.
She stood up without a word and walked to the vending machine, buying two bottles of Milk Tea. She walked back and handed one to Xia Yang.
Then she sat down on the corridor by herself, not saying a word. She didn’t know what she was doing anymore. Ever since the start of this semester, after interacting with Xia Yang and Ji Xiangyu, her life had begun to change drastically. She, who used to be like a transparent person, was now talked about wherever she went. She didn’t care, she didn’t care about the rumors.
But when she actually saw someone close to her get hurt because of her, she couldn’t bear it. She couldn’t pretend to be indifferent.
Xia Yang wasn’t doing much better. He always wanted to give Qing Tian the most wonderful things, yet he always showed a fierce side in front of her.
He remembered the last time he had a Duel with the White Tiger, and Wu Feng appeared at the most crucial moment. Did Qing Tian know who Wu Feng was? If she did, what would she think?
Just as the two of them were lost in their own thoughts, Ji Xiangyu walked towards them from the end of the corridor.
Ji Xiangyu walked very, very slowly. The sound of each step on the ground was so clear that Qing Tian’s heart felt like it was breaking.
Ji Xiangyu walked up to her, squatted down, and said nervously, “Qing Tian, are you alright?”
Qing Tian shook her head, then looked at the injured Xia Yang. Xia Yang was watching them, and seeing the expression on Qing Tian’s face as she received Ji Xiangyu’s concern, his heart slowly sank.
Ji Xiangyu stood up and took out Yunnan Baiyao from his school pants pocket, handing it to Xia Yang. “Wipe it, a wound is still a wound. If it’s not treated, there will be sequelae later!”
Xia Yang looked up, his lips curling as he looked at Ji Xiangyu. He reached out and directly Pat away the Yunnan Baiyao Ji Xiangyu handed him onto the ground.

Qing Tian stepped forward, wanting to ease the tension between them. Ji Xiangyu grabbed her arm and looked at Xia Yang, Warning him, “I don’t want Qing Tian to suffer even a little bit of Harm!”
Xia Yang approached Ji Xiangyu and retorted, “Alright, you must also keep your word. Tomorrow is Monday, and it will naturally be revealed who is qualified to stand by Qing Tian’s side. Before that, I warn you, don’t hold back, I absolutely won’t go easy on you!!!”
After speaking, Xia Yang’s lips curled up, and he looked at Ji Xiangyu provocatively.
Qing Tian didn’t want to see the two of them turn against each other, but she was powerless to do anything. Instead, she was drawn into their conflict.
Just as Xia Yang was about to walk away, Ji Xiangyu reached out and grabbed his hand. They stood back to back, and Ji Xiangyu sighed deeply, “Since you proposed this Match, can I propose a Condition?”
Xia Yang turned to look at Ji Xiangyu, trying to see something in his eyes, but Ji Xiangyu had always been gentle with people. He couldn’t make out anything from Ji Xiangyu’s eyes.
Ji Xiangyu narrowed his eyes, as if he were smiling.
Xia Yang asked directly, “What condition?”
Ji Xiangyu smiled slightly and said, “The Student Union’s Change of Leadership is about to begin. I want you to participate in this Election with me as a Candidate. If you are elected, I will never get close to Qing Tian, no matter what happens in the future.”
As Ji Xiangyu spoke, he looked at Qing Tian and found her eyes wide open, filled with disbelief.
“However, if you are not elected, then you must attend Grandfather’s birthday banquet this year and not cause any trouble. Can you do that?”
After hearing this, Xia Yang shook off Ji Xiangyu’s hand and pressed, “Why should I accept your ridiculous Proposal?”
Ji Xiangyu raised an eyebrow, “Just because…”
Qing Tian interjected, “Just because…” She glanced at Ji Xiangyu and continued, “Just because this is Grandfather Ji’s wish!”
Ji Xiangyu looked at Qing Tian in shock. How did she know it was his grandfather’s wish?
On the contrary, Xia Yang’s expression was calm, but he miraculously agreed, “Then I’ll see you then!”
He then walked straight out of the police station. Ji Xiangyu and Qing Tian watched his retreating figure, their expressions quite surprised. They hadn’t expected Xia Yang to agree to this Proposal.
Qing Tian looked at Ji Xiangyu, who happened to be smiling at her. The two of them smiled at each other in the corridor!
