Chapter 129: Yun Jiao Hits Someone
“Jiaojiao, you really aren’t going?”
Yun Jiao shook her head, “Let my older brothers go.”
She had already been once, so if there was another chance, she would definitely leave it for her older brothers.
After eating, they continued to open oysters.
Joyful exclamations occasionally came from the small courtyard; even if they opened a not-so-beautiful pearl, everyone was happy.
In the end, out of this large pile of oysters, only about twenty pearls were found, and Yun Jiao opened eight of them.
The best quality pearl, milky white, was opened by her, and it was over 8mm.
Adding the ones they had opened before, there were a total of thirty-two pearls.
Looking at the milky white pearls soaking in the water, the whole family had happy faces.
“Stop crowding around, go do what you need to do.”
Granny Yun carried the oyster meat away, intending to make dried oysters out of all of them.
There was too much to eat all at once.
The others also started to get busy with their own tasks.
After washing the pearls clean, they were dried with paper and finally placed in a small box.
Tomorrow, they would be taken to the city to sell.
After finishing with the oysters, Yun Jiao didn’t have to work and went out to play.
It wasn’t really playing, as she still had to take care of the poultry she raised.
It was the same poultry as before; the chicks from that old hen were unwilling to follow her.
Yun Jiao walked in the countryside fields, holding a small stick and a toy monkey made by her fourth older brother.
She didn’t walk too fast, occasionally moving aside some stones, as under stones that had been pressing down the earth for years, plump earthworms and a type of small red bug were most likely to be found.
And these were the protein that poultry loved to eat the most.
“Meow.”
The cat arrived, a cat Yun Jiao was familiar with.
She looked in the direction the sound came from, and the tabby cat ran towards them, carrying something in its mouth.
However, behind it, several people were following.
“Over there, stop!”
“Drop the rabbit!”
The tabby cat ran directly to Yun Jiao’s side, carrying a rabbit in its mouth.
“Yun Jiao!”
Yun Jiao raised an eyebrow as she looked at the people running towards her.
“What are you doing?”
Yun Zhaodi glanced around and, seeing that Yun Jiao’s older brothers were not with her, felt malice arise.
“What are we doing? Your cat stole our wild rabbit, hmph, I want you to compensate us with two!”
Yun Jiao looked at her as if she were an idiot.
“Yours?”
She bent down, picked up the rabbit, and pointed at the wound on the wild rabbit’s neck.
“Did you bite it?”
Yun Zhaodi put her hands on her hips and arrogantly said, “It’s none of your business how we did it, but your cat stole our rabbit, and now you must compensate us. If not the rabbit, then money will do.”
Her eyes scanned Yun Jiao from head to toe. Seeing that her clothes had no patches, even had small flowers, and that she had a pretty hair clip in her hair, as well as a toy in her hand.
When she thought about what she had seen before, the nice clothes and shoes that little boy bought for Yun Jiao, Yun Zhaodi’s jealousy was impossible to hide.
“Also give me your toy as compensation.”
As Yun Zhaodi spoke, she directly reached out to snatch it.
Yun Jiao wouldn’t indulge her; she immediately swung the thin, long stick in her hand towards her.
In the blink of an eye, she hit her several times.
“Owwwww… Yun Jiao, what are you doing? Stop, it hurts so much…”
The hits she received hurt more than when her mother hit her.
Yun Jiao: “You’re snatching my things, how dare you!”
Yun Zhaodi ran around, trying to escape the hits, and called out to her companions who were standing there stunned.
“What are you all standing around for? Hurry and catch her, she’s just a little girl and can’t beat us all, hiss…”
Those who played with Yun Zhaodi were basically all a bit twisted in personality.
They listened to Yun Zhaodi’s words and lunged at Yun Jiao, and then…
“Ahhh, it hurts, it hurts! Yun Jiao, how dare you hit us! We’re going to tell our parents!”
Yun Jiao didn’t care; she would hit first.
The thin, long stick hurt terribly when hitting people, leaving red marks on their bodies.
“Find sticks, find sticks to stop her.”
They found sticks to try and hit Yun Jiao, but she knocked them away with one hand.
Their strength was no match for Yun Jiao’s. She snatched their sticks with one hand and continued to hit them.
Painfully beaten, Yun Zhaodi and her group became fearful and no longer stayed there, turning and running towards the village.
Yun Jiao held grudges and wouldn’t let them off so easily, continuing to chase.
“Eldest, take the chicks and the others home.”
In the end, she only gave this one instruction, and Yun Jiao, with her short legs, chased after Yun Zhaodi and the others.
“Don’t run, if you have the ability, keep fighting.”
“Yun Jiao, my parents won’t let you go!”
Those running ahead did not forget to make threats.
Then Yun Jiao stared at them and hit them several more times.
It hurt so much they cried out and called for their parents.
The aunts and grandmas chatting at the village entrance heard the sounds and all turned their heads simultaneously.
Yun Zhaodi: “Yun Jiao has gone mad! Help, she’s killing people!”
They thought Yun Jiao wouldn’t continue hitting them in front of so many people, but unexpectedly, she chased after them and continued to beat them.
“Ahhhhhh!!!”
“What’s wrong, what’s wrong? What happened? Yun Jiao, let’s talk it out.”
“Aiyo, why did you provoke Yun Jiao?”
Yun Zhaodi and the others stubbornly said, “Yun Jiao stole our rabbit, we asked for it back, and she hit us.”
“Exactly, she’s too shameless!”
Yun Jiao’s hits became heavier, her young voice carrying a hint of anger, “You’re the shameless ones! You wanted to snatch my rabbit, my toy, and my hair clip. These were all given to me by my older brothers, why should you snatch them!”
“You often snatch things from other children.”
Indeed, Yun Zhaodi and her group of girls didn’t have a good reputation among many adults, and the adults present believed Yun Jiao more.
Of course, some of those girls’ relatives were also present, and they naturally sided with their children.
“Yun Jiao, put down the stick first and let’s talk. There’s no such thing as chasing and hitting people.”
Yun Jiao pointed at them with the small stick, “They hit me first.”
Yun Zhaodi pretended to be pitiful, “You’re lying. Look at us, all beaten by you, but you’re not hurt at all.”
Yun Jiao cast a side glance, “Because you can’t beat me.”
“The rabbit, she really did steal our wild rabbit.”
When the relatives of those girls heard this, they immediately started to blame Yun Jiao.
“How can someone so young steal other people’s things?”
“I don’t know who she learned it from, her temper is terrible, chasing and hitting people over small matters, look at how badly she beat them.”
“Yun Jiao, this is not right…”
Yun Jiao frowned, her small face fierce, unhappy!
“What are you talking about? Why do you say Jiao Jiao stole their rabbit?”
Those who had a good relationship with Yun Jiao’s family couldn’t stand it and came forward to protect Yun Jiao.
“Exactly, those few were clearly bullying Yun Jiao alone. What they say can’t be taken as fact.”
“Yun Jiao is usually so well-behaved, she’s never lost her temper and hit anyone. Why would she hit them today?”
“Yun Zhaodi and the others have also snatched things from my child before. I actually think they wanted to snatch Jiao Jiao’s things.”
A group of people started arguing.
“Who’s bullying my younger sister!”
Yun Jiao’s older brothers rushed over, looking fierce.
