After the X-ray, the veterinarian said that Jieli was injured by the impact, had internal organ damage, and needed to be hospitalized for observation.

She looked at Jieli and said softly, “Little Jieli, stay here and recuperate obediently. You don’t need to be afraid.”

On the road, she received a phone call from Si Heng.

Several police transport vehicles brought the rescued wildlife back to the police station.

She found Youyou in one of the vehicles.

Jiang Yuan said softly, “Annie has been looking for you. Shall I take you to find her?”

Youyou blinked, and its fluffy little body slowly moved out. “Youyou… Youyou believes you.”

She held Youyou in her arms and asked, “After the bad guys took you, were you kept in a cage the whole time?”
