Chapter 122: Triggered Lv2 New Mission
Si Heng took out the glass. The glass stuck in Xiao Hei’s paw was as big as a fingernail.
Mrs. Tang saw it and felt immense heartache, “So it was glass that stuck him. No wonder Xiao Hei has been lying still these past two days.”
“What’s wrong?” Xiao Tang, who had just returned from delivering takeout nearby, saw them surrounding Xiao Hei and leaned over to ask worriedly, “Did Xiao Hei have an accident?”
Mrs. Tang pulled on Xiao Tang’s sleeve and said anxiously, “Husband, it turns out Xiao Hei had a piece of glass stuck in his foot! It was Ah Heng’s friend who discovered it!”
“No wonder he hasn’t been moving these past two days!” Xiao Tang slapped his thigh and looked gratefully at Jiang Yuan, “Young lady, thank you so much!”
“It’s okay.” Jiang Yuan waved her hand, “Do you have a restroom? I need to wash my hands.”
“Yes.” Mrs. Tang led her to the restroom, and upon returning, whispered to Xiao Tang to discuss.
When Jiang Yuan came out of the restroom, she saw Mrs. Tang handing her a red envelope, “Young lady, thank you. If it weren’t for you, Xiao Hei would probably have been in pain all night. This is a small token of appreciation from us as a couple, please don’t dislike it.”
Jiang Yuan pushed back the hand holding the red envelope and smiled, “I just happened to discover it. You don’t need to give me a red envelope, just give us a 20% discount.”
“No, no, no, we must give the red envelope, and we won’t give you a 20% discount on the beef noodles, we’ll give you a 90% discount!”
“I really don’t need it.” Jiang Yuan repeatedly waved her hands and ran out of the beef noodle shop.
Si Heng saw this and asked with a smile, “What’s wrong?”
Jiang Yuan explained, “The boss lady wants to give me a red envelope, but I’m not accepting it.”
Mrs. Tang came to the table and said to Si Heng, “Ah Heng, quickly persuade the young lady to accept the red envelope. If we had taken Xiao Hei to the pet hospital for examination, it would have cost hundreds or even a thousand.”
Jiang Yuan shook her head vigorously, “I really won’t accept it.”
This beef noodle shop is a small business. This red envelope is at least two hundred. How many bowls of beef noodles would they have to sell to earn that back?
“Mrs. Tang.” Si Heng took the red envelope, “I’ll accept it on her behalf.”
“That’s more like it.” Mrs. Tang finally smiled with satisfaction.
Seeing this, Jiang Yuan’s eyes widened slightly, and she looked at him in surprise, “Why did you accept it?”
After Mrs. Tang left, Si Heng quietly explained, “I’ll put it under the bowl later.”
Jiang Yuan’s eyes curved into crescents, and she gave him a thumbs up, “As expected of you.”
When Mrs. Tang was clearing the dining table, she discovered the red envelope hidden at the bottom of the bowl. Looking at the two figures in the distance, her face was full of helplessness, “I really can’t do anything with you two!”
Jiang Yuan returned home and saw Zhan Zhan and Momo drawing in the living room.
“Auntie!”
“Auntie is back!”
The two greeted her obediently and then lowered their heads to continue drawing.
Seeing that they were drawing seriously, Jiang Yuan walked over and asked, “What are you drawing?”
“It’s homework assigned by the teacher,” Momo replied softly.
Zhan Zhan explained, “I’m accompanying Momo while she draws.”
Jiang Yuan reached out and gently pinched his little cheek, smiling, “What a wonderful brother Momo has. I’m so envious.”
The little boy’s face turned red from the praise, “Auntie, don’t you have a brother?”
“No.” Jiang Yuan said, “I only have an older sister, who is your mother.”
Zhan Zhan blinked his dark, clear eyes and asked curiously, “Auntie, do you want to have a brother?”
Jiang Yuan pondered for a moment and replied, “I think having a brother would be quite nice too.”
“Then how about…” Zhan Zhan pressed his lips together and summoned courage, “Auntie, how about I be your brother, okay?”
Hearing this, a thick smile spread across Jiang Yuan’s fair face, “Really?”
“Really.” Zhan Zhan nodded seriously.
“Okay.” Jiang Yuan agreed with a smile.
“Then from now on, I’ll be Auntie and Momo’s brother.” The little boy said with a solemn expression.
Jiang Yuan raised her hand and ruffled his hair, “Then you guys draw slowly, I’m going to take a shower.”
When she came out after her shower, the two little ones had already been taken to bed by Jiang Die.
Deng Rui was sitting on the sofa watching TV. Seeing her come out of the bathroom, she asked, “Your dad made lamb dumplings tonight, do you want some?”
“I’m not hungry.” Jiang Yuan sat on the single sofa nearby, drying her hair and yawning.
“You woke up so early this morning, so go to bed early tonight,” Deng Rui said.
Jiang Yuan nodded, “I know.”
She sat for a while, then got up and went to the bathroom to blow-dry her hair.
Deng Rui also turned off the TV and went back to her room.
Jiang Dashan, wearing reading glasses, was leaning against the bedside reading a book.
Deng Rui lifted the quilt and lay down, but she tossed and turned, unable to sleep.
Jiang Dashan turned his head to look at her, “Can’t sleep? Want to listen to some reading?”
“No, I’m not in the mood to listen.” Deng Rui’s tone was impatient.
Hearing this, Jiang Dashan put a bookmark in his book and put it down, “Why are you in a bad mood? Tell me about it.”
Deng Rui sat up and sighed, “I feel like it’s not very good to always have Yuan Yuan and Xiao Die, the four of them, squeezing into one room.”
“Then what should we do?” Jiang Dashan frowned, “We can’t have them squeeze in with us, can we?”
Deng Rui glared at him annoyedly, “I was thinking about whether to rent an apartment in the residential community and we could sleep there at night.”
“That’s possible too.” Jiang Dashan had no objections.
Deng Rui sighed again, “But there are no vacant rooms in the residential community.”
Jiang Dashan: “Yes, so what should we do?”
Deng Rui: “…”
She grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, “You only ever ask me what to do, can’t you use your own brain?”
“Then I’ll think about it tomorrow when I go to work.” Jiang Dashan hugged the pillow and lay down, “Let’s sleep first.”
Deng Rui: “…”
She rolled her eyes, “I’m really impressed!”
The next morning, Jiang Yuan was woken up by a system notification.

Jiang Yuan, half-asleep, thought she was dreaming.
She frowned and mumbled, “Why are they only notifying me now for missions completed a few days ago?”
【System009: Good morning, Miss Jiang. The system was undergoing an upgrade a few days ago, so notifications could not be published. 】
Jiang Yuan turned over, “Why did you upgrade without saying anything?”

Jiang Yuan was now fully awake, “Did the system upgrade affect my ability to exchange items in the mall?”
