Chapter 113: Su Wan Committed Suicide
“I didn’t poison her,” Su Mei murmured. “Although I resented her, I wouldn’t go so far as to kill her.”
Jiang Yuan didn’t think she was lying based on her appearance.
But Dao Dao, the little ant, said that Su Mei confessed to killing Su Wan in front of Kang Chengye.
Jiang Yuan said slowly, “You say Su Wan wasn’t poisoned by you, so why did you admit to Kang Chengye that you killed Su Wan?”
Hearing this, Su Mei’s eyelashes trembled violently, and shock appeared in her eyes. “Did Kang Chengye say that?”

“I don’t know,” Su Mei lowered her eyes and said with a bitter smile. “She had depression. She didn’t want to live anymore. She took the sleeping pills herself. By the time I found out, it was too late.”
“Do you have any evidence?” Jiang Yuan gazed at her seriously.
Su Mei was silent for a long time, her lips moving slightly. “Su Wan scheduled a video to be sent to my email.”
“Can I see it?”
Su Mei took out her phone, found the video, and handed it to Jiang Yuan. “Here.”
“Thank you,” Jiang Yuan took the phone and saw Su Wan playing the piano in a white skirt.
Her face was pale and haggard, and her eyes seemed full of heavy worries.
The music ended.
Su Wan looked at the camera, a gentle smile on her lips. “Xiao Mei, by the time you see this video, I might already be gone.”
“I know you resent me in your heart. I’m sorry for doing things that made you unhappy without realizing it.”

Su Wan waved at the video.
The video ended.
Jiang Yuan returned the phone to Su Mei and asked the question that was on her mind: “You say Su Wan committed suicide, but why was her body in your house?”
Su Mei explained, “Su Wan was staying at my house those few days. The video was recorded at my house, and she took the sleeping pills at my house too.”
Jiang Yuan asked, “Wasn’t Kang Chengye still infatuated with Su Wan? How did you agree to let Su Wan stay at your house?”
“I let her come to keep me company,” Su Mei murmured. “I also wanted to use this to test Su Wan and Kang Chengye.”
“I see,” Jiang Yuan nodded. “Since you didn’t kill her, why were you so afraid of the police finding out?”
Su Mei lowered her eyes. “I thought I hated her to death, but when I saw her lying on the bed lifeless, my heart ached. I wanted to be close to her, even if we were in different worlds.”
Jiang Yuan sighed, not knowing what to say.
After a while, she spoke again, asking, “Did Kang Chengye bury Su Wan’s body in the flower bed?”
Su Mei closed her eyes and nodded. “Yes.”
Jiang Yuan: “Do you have anything else to say?”
Su Mei’s emotions seemed to have calmed down, and she softly said, “No more.”
“Okay,” Jiang Yuan stood up and left the interrogation room.
In another interrogation room, Kang Chengye insisted he knew nothing about a corpse in the villa.
Jiang Yuan knocked on the door, pushed it open, glanced at Kang Chengye, and her gaze fell on Si Heng. She said lightly, “Si Heng, Su Mei has confessed everything.”
Kang Chengye looked at Jiang Yuan, frowned, and asked, “Confessed to what?”
Jiang Yuan cast a questioning glance at Si Heng. Seeing him nod, she slowly said, “She said Su Wan committed suicide.”
“Suicide?” Kang Chengye was surprised. “How could it be suicide?”
Jiang Yuan looked at him, raising her eyebrows slightly. “Mr. Kang, do you have anything to say?”
Kang Chengye’s face changed slightly, realizing he had said the wrong thing.
“I was just surprised,” he explained. “Su Wan was someone who loved life. She couldn’t possibly commit suicide.”
Si Heng: “Then what are Mr. Kang’s thoughts on Su Wan’s death?”
Kang Chengye fell silent again.
Jiang Yuan: “Su Mei also said that Mr. Kang personally buried Su Wan’s body.”
Kang Chengye’s face suddenly darkened.
Was she crazy?
She told the police all these things!
“I want to see Su Mei,” he demanded in a deep voice.
The police arranged for the two to meet, and Su Mei looked at him dejectedly.
“You said Su Wan committed suicide?” Kang Chengye stared at her intently.
Su Mei said indifferently, “She had depression.”

Su Mei found the video and handed the phone to him.
After watching the video, Kang Chengye’s eye sockets suddenly reddened. “Su Wan, why were you so foolish…”
Su Mei looked at him and said calmly, “Kang Chengye, let’s get divorced.”
After police investigation, Su Wan died from taking a large amount of sleeping pills, and it was unrelated to Su Mei.
Kang Chengye was fined administratively for burying the body in the villa’s flower bed without permission.
This matter came to a close, and Jiang Yuan felt much more relaxed.
She looked at her colleagues who had worked with her these past few days and smiled, “I’m treating everyone to barbecue tonight.”
