Chapter 103: You Have Become A Puppet Of Humans
After dinner, Jiang Yuan went downstairs to feed the little bird.
She discovered that Little Mo Yan would occasionally look at her while eating, with a preoccupied expression.
“Little Mo Yan, what’s wrong?” Jiang Yuan came beside it, extended a finger, and tapped its head. “Is tonight’s dinner not to your appetite?”

“What question?”
“Are humans very scary?”
Jiang Yuan was startled by its question and frowned slightly. “Why do you ask all of a sudden?”
Little Mo Yan: “Yan heard from a friend that a human buried another human in the ground late at night. Yan doesn’t know if doing so is okay.”
Jiang Yuan: “…”
Doing so is very illegal.
She quickly pressed further, “Little Mo Yan, which friend did you hear this from? Where is it now? Is it convenient for me to meet it?”
“Its home is a bit far from here,” Little Mo Yan answered, then said hesitantly, “and it is very scared of humans.”
Jiang Yuan said urgently, “Then I won’t communicate with it directly. Can you help me ask it a few questions?”

Actually, it had told its friend that not all humans were that scary, and Yuan Yuan, whom it knew, was a very, very good human.
But its friend refuted it, calling it foolish for daring to trust humans.
Jiang Yuan frowned and fell silent.
She hadn’t expected Little Mo Yan’s friend to be so repulsed by humans.
But if someone was truly buried, she couldn’t just stand by.

Jiang Yuan asked again, “What kind of bird is your friend?”

One was the location of the burial.
The second was what characteristics the person who buried the human had.
She dared not ask too many questions, for fear that Little Mo Yan would forget.
“Okay, Yuan Yuan.” Little Mo Yan said seriously, “Yan remembers. Yan will go find its friend after finishing dinner.”
Jiang Yuan said gratefully, “Thank you for your hard work, Little Mo Yan. I’ll wait for your news at home tonight.”

Jiang Yuan waited for Little Mo Yan in the living room.
It brought the owl’s news, but its feathers looked a bit disheveled, and a hint of bloodstain was still visible.

“How did you get like this?”

Little Mo Yan found its owl friend and asked it two questions.
Upon hearing this, the owl immediately stared at it vigilantly. “Did a human send you to ask? Little Mo Yan, why are you colluding with humans?”
“Yuan Yuan is Yan’s good friend.” Little Mo Yan told the owl. “Not all humans are as bad as you think. There are good humans, like Yuan Yuan!”
“Yuan Yuan, Yuan Yuan!” The owl lunged and pecked it. “You keep mentioning Yuan Yuan; you’ve become a puppet for humans!”
“Yan doesn’t care. Yuan Yuan is good to Yan, so Yan must be good to Yuan Yuan too!” Little Mo Yan’s trust in Jiang Yuan was not shaken at all. “Tutu, please, quickly tell Yan where that human was buried.”
“I won’t tell you!” Owl Tutu angrily turned its head away. “I just won’t let you help humans!”
“You…” Little Mo Yan also got angry and flew up to peck Owl Tutu’s head. “You smelly Tutu!”
“Alright, Little Mo Yan, you’re bullying me for humans!” Owl Tutu got even angrier. “I’m definitely going to teach you a lesson today!”
The swallow was no match for the owl, and Little Mo Yan was quickly overwhelmed by Owl Tutu.
Owl Tutu had already shown restraint.
If it had truly intended to deal with Little Mo Yan, Little Mo Yan might have already been dead.
Owl Tutu looked at Little Mo Yan’s messy feathers, then used its beak to preen its own neat ones, and asked haughtily, “Do you still dare to say you are good friends with Yuan Yuan?”

She took out the small bird sleeping nest she had bought online and gestured to it. “You’ll be sleeping here tonight.”
“Thank you, Yuan Yuan.” Little Mo Yan thanked her sincerely, thinking that if Tutu met Jiang Yuan, it would definitely like her.
“Hachoo—” In a corner of the forest, Owl Tutu sneezed and muttered, “Little Mo Yan that fool must be badmouthing me!”
Jiang Yuan settled Little Mo Yan’s nest and then exhorted the furballs at home, “Don’t bully Little Mo Yan. Help me take good care of it.”
