Chapter 82: The Homeowning Clan
“Alright, Ge Bai contestant, congratulations on winning all three matches today.”
From arriving at the arena venue to finishing three matches, just over an hour had passed—pretty efficient.
Before leaving, Ge Bai didn’t forget to say goodbye to Lika and Peach Blossom Jellyfish.
She decided not to watch the subsequent matches; there was something very important to do today—picking wind element resources for Big Willow.
Unexpectedly, just as Ge Bai walked out of the arena competition venue, her mobile terminal rang. She took it out and saw it was Liu Hao.
Ge Bai quickly answered.
“Bai Bai, are you done for today? How did the arena competition go? I’ve picked out the houses—let’s go take a look.”
Liu Hao got straight to the point.
“Did you install surveillance on me? I just finished. Perfect timing, I’m free now.”
Ge Bai joked.
Liu Hao on the other end of the phone chuckled but didn’t say much.
Ge Bai’s matters were always his top priority.
Last night, after they parted ways at the back mountain of the welfare institute, he immediately worked overtime to search for housing options.
This morning, he checked several residential areas, carefully selecting and finally finding two houses that met Ge Bai’s requirements with good value for money.
Liu Hao knew Ge Bai had an arena competition in the afternoon, so he didn’t want to call rashly and affect her matches.
He worked while quietly watching the live stream of the Jinggang City Arena Competition audition, and only called after seeing Ge Bai finish her three matches.
But none of this needed to be known by Ge Bai.
“Good that you’re free. I picked two houses, neither far from Jinggang No. 1 Middle School. I’m waiting for you directly at the residential area doorway—I’ve already sent the location to your mobile terminal.”
“Okay, wait for me—I’ll be right there.”
Ge Bai familiarly went to the Eagle Falcon “Eagle Drop” docking point and called an Eagle Falcon. “Eagle Drop” was indeed much faster than the bus.
She didn’t want to keep Liu Hao waiting; it couldn’t be considered her standard of living shifting from frugality to luxury.
When Ge Bai arrived at the location Liu Hao sent, he was already waiting steadily at the residential area doorway.
Seeing her get off the Eagle Falcon, he smiled and waved.
“You must have been waiting a long time. I already tried my best not to delay.”
“No, come on—I’ll take you in. The first house is right here.”
Ge Bai followed Liu Hao into the residential area.
The access control had very strict security measures, even including a spiritual power detection device.
“This residential area’s property management is excellent—its safety index ranks among the top in the city.”
Seeing Ge Bai notice the spiritual power detection device, Liu Hao explained a bit.
The residential area had great landscaping, with dense vegetation and birds and beasts chirping in the woods—everything was there.
Looking out, there were no tall buildings in the entire residential area; all were standalone villas with their own doors and yards.
“All little villas.”
Liu Hao nodded. “You wanted a house with its own training ground, split above and below ground. To meet your requirements, it had to be a villa no matter what.”
“Don’t think this villa area is remote—it’s actually not far from the urban area.”
“The mountain occupied by the villa area is Jinggang City’s permanently preserved mountain. Turn a corner after exiting the residential area doorway, go downhill, and you’re in the bustling downtown—quiet amidst the hustle.”
Liu Hao was exceptionally thoughtful, considering everything for Ge Bai.
They hadn’t walked far when they stopped in front of a courtyard. Liu Hao took out a key from his pocket, opened the door, and walked into the house.
“Take a look. The small building has three floors above ground. The first floor has great high ceilings; besides the living room, it’s connected to the backyard small garden, renovated by the previous owner into a training room.”
“The basement and third floor are both training grounds.”
Ge Bai was stunned by the huge, spacious training room as soon as she entered.
The first-floor training room was renovated with great care—not luxurious, but from the floor to the walls to the ceiling, the materials used and design details were all very professional.
“The previous owner of this villa was a full-time arena competition contestant. The whole villa was built from the ground up, but after less than two years of living there, the previous owner went to compete in the circuit races, and the villa has been vacant since.”
This owner was indeed an expert.
“Come, I’ll take you to see the basement.”
Liu Hao stood by the elevator and called Ge Bai over.
Though it was called a basement, the ventilation and lighting were quite good.
Natural light poured into the central atrium in the middle of the basement, making the entire space feel exceptionally open and bright.
Various instruments of all sizes were placed around, some for auxiliary training, some for testing spiritual power. At a glance, Ge Bai couldn’t identify the functions of all the equipment.
“One more noteworthy point: all the instruments throughout the house are still under warranty. Professionals come every two months for regular maintenance, calibration, and data adjustment.” Liu Hao had even considered this for Ge Bai. “I think you’d need this service quite a bit.”
“Absolutely needed!”
Hearing this, light shone in Ge Bai’s eyes.
This way, not only would she save money on buying equipment, but also on maintenance costs.
“The price is already the lowest: 70,000 alliance coins per month, paid annually.”
Hearing the price, Ge Bai couldn’t help but tsk.
Liu Hao sighed.
“No way around it—housing prices here aren’t cheap. Even without special renovations, ordinary houses rent for 50,000 to 60,000 a month.”
Ge Bai knew Liu Hao must have picked and chosen to find this house.
“Alright, Haozi, this one’s it.” Ge Bai was afraid Liu Hao wouldn’t take a commission, so she’d asked around in advance. “How much for the commission? 1%? I’ll transfer the money and commission to your account together. Trouble you with the follow-up matters.”
Seeing how clearly Ge Bai had inquired, Liu Hao smiled and shook his head.
“Alright, you don’t need to worry about the follow-up.”
Liu Hao handed the keys to Ge Bai.
“You can move in tomorrow. I’ll call a deep cleaning service later—the company has some complimentary services. I’ll handle everything today.”
Ge Bai took the keys and laughed heartily.
“No need to go to such trouble.”
Liu Hao shook his head firmly.
“It’s necessary. A girl living alone should make her life a bit more refined.”
Hearing this, Ge Bai smiled even more brightly. It had been a long time since she’d remembered she was a girl.
“You look around more. I’ll head back to the company first.”
There was still a pile of paperwork for the rental follow-up, and Liu Hao had plenty to do.
Ge Bai went alone to the top floor, stood on the villa rooftop, and summoned Big Willow, Qian Dai, and Little Peach.
“Take a look—this is our new home.”
The three little ones excitedly looked around as soon as they appeared.
“Bai Bai, the space is so big. I like the backyard.”
Big Willow immediately took a liking to the small garden in the first-floor backyard. Following Big Willow’s direction, Ge Bai glanced over and felt something was off.
Looking closely, she couldn’t help but marvel at the owner’s wealth.
Even the soil in the yard contained abundant spiritual power, likely specially sprinkled with nutrient solution. She felt her money was even better spent.
