Summon Ghosts

Chapter 14: Summon Ghosts

At the crossroads at night, the young man who realized what he had done terrifiedly dropped the bowl and chopsticks in his hand and fled madly as if losing reason.

In a mourning hall temporarily set up, the woman lowered her head to look at the “companion” wearing dead person’s clothes, and casually turned off the alarm reminding her it was time to wake up.

In the pitch-black woods, the person who had been hiding for a long time suddenly felt their shoulder being lightly patted by someone.

In the pitch-black operating room, the woman who looked like a pregnant woman with a slightly bulging belly tied a cloth strip to the bedhead and then looped it around her own neck.

At some point, there were no longer any shadows of living people in Chinatown.

——Roar roar

It was the sound of the train gradually approaching.

The passengers desperately wanting to board the train were attracted by this sound and gradually walked towards here.

This place was originally not some train platform; even, it was originally just an exceptionally wide road outside Chinatown.

But now, pitch-black tracks silently appeared on the ground, extending into the invisible darkness.

The faint train roar, as if sounding from a great distance, came from the darkness, as if that train carrying the hope of life was about to break through the barriers of time and space and appear before everyone.

But Little Lu knew that what it brought was not only the hope of going back alive.

She gently touched her eyelid; her eyes still had a strong burning pain, like an alarm bell constantly reminding her that the danger had not yet gone away.

There were less than twenty minutes until the train arrived at the station. Little Lu did not get too close to the station; it was too open there, with neither buildings to block nor places to hide.

She was still hiding inside Chinatown at this moment, but very close to that road; if the train arrived at the station, it would probably take only about five minutes to run from here to the train.

Little Lu’s original plan was to hide here and observe the situation; if her guess was not wrong, other passengers would arrive in this area one after another at this time.

She had already prepared for the possibility that the arriving passengers might not be human, but when she really saw human figures, horror still inevitably rose in her heart.

It was a figure with long long hair; even if Little Lu’s line of sight was only looking downward, she could see the black long hair of the figure dragging at foot level.

She could confirm that among the people who came, absolutely no one’s hair was this long.

These hairs looked like a black cloak enveloping the person, but upon closer inspection, one would find that these hair strands were extremely dense; the outer layer looked fairly smooth, but inside there were already many black strands drilling into this person’s body like living things, like blood-sucking leeches.

Perhaps, this person’s internal organs had already been completely entangled together by these strands, but she was not dead yet; at least, she still retained some consciousness of a living person and was still trying to survive by boarding the train; otherwise, she could not have walked here.

However, she probably could not board the train alive.

Little Lu sighed in her heart but did not plan to do anything.

In the distance, a second figure seemed to be walking over; if she raised her head, she might see clearly, but Little Lu just quietly waited for the other to slowly enter her line of sight.

This way, there was no need to worry about accidentally seeing something she shouldn’t.

The surroundings were quiet; that long-haired woman quietly stood by the roadside; if ignoring her weird hair and the current time, she looked just like an ordinary person waiting for the train.

Faint footsteps came from the side, accompanied by the second figure gradually approaching.

The streetlight was still on, but the light was far from bright; that distant figure was somewhat blurry, plus the limitation of field of view, Little Lu needed to concentrate hard to see clearly who it was, while controlling her line of sight not to glance around and see something she shouldn’t.

Her attention was highly focused, and her perception of the surroundings became extremely sharp at this moment.

“Little Lu.”

A calm voice came suddenly from behind her without any prelude, close at hand, almost sticking to her body.

“What are you looking at?”

Little Lu’s pupils suddenly contracted; this voice was like a thunderclap exploding in her brain.

A chill rushed straight from her spine to the top of her head, and her brain experienced momentary paralysis; at this moment, she almost directly turned her head to see who was behind her!

But fortunately, what would cause an ordinary person to lose control due to stress only lasted less than a second on Little Lu, and she just froze in place without her body making any uncontrolled inappropriate actions.

Absolutely cannot turn head!

Behind her, it could not possibly be human.

Or rather, it could not possibly be only human!

The ghostly thing was scaring her.

Little Lu suddenly closed her eyes; her heart still retained a great deal of fear, her heartbeat continuously accelerating, adrenaline surging at this moment; her hands even began to tremble slightly; if she were to run now, she might be able to run at the fastest speed of her life.

But it was too late to run.

This thing that had silently appeared behind her, not knowing if it was human or ghostly thing, had already stretched out a hand and grabbed Little Lu’s shoulder while speaking.

Coldness, stiffness, with a strength she could not resist, like five hard steel bars clamped on her shoulder.

She was grabbed.

How did this ghostly thing behind her know she was hiding here?

And since when had it come?

Even in this situation, Little Lu’s brain was still operating at high speed; she had not given up.

She remembered that Jiang Yingzhi had said that real ghosts could not speak or communicate with people.

At this moment, the one behind her was either an illusion or a person possessed by a ghost.

“Little Lu, what are you doing here?”

“Let’s go wait for the train together.”

As it spoke, Little Lu finally heard a very faint breathing sound, like that of a dying person.

She immediately confirmed that the one behind her was not a ghost, but a person possessed by a ghost.

Powerful force came from the shoulder, accompanied by intense pain; Little Lu could confirm that the fingers gripping her shoulder at this moment must have pierced the skin, with fingertips gouging into her flesh and blood.

Bone-piercing chill penetrated into her body from the breach on her shoulder; in just two or three seconds, Little Lu felt half her body had gone numb.

Cold sweat on her forehead kept dripping; she heard that ghostly thing calling her name, saying ghostly words to make her open her eyes.

Opening her eyes at a time like this would be really not wanting to live!

But the next second, a faint breath came from in front of her.

It was the rotten smell she had smelled somewhere before, carrying a bone-piercing chill.

Little Lu’s eyelid twitched violently; she immediately knew what this was.

Damn it!

Besides behind her, there was also a ghost standing in front of her!

It was that ghost that had followed her from the operating room to now!
