Chapter 29: Passed Inspection
Zeng Yingying heard this and felt her scalp tingle.
What a joke, although based on her performance lately, she should be able to arrange one or two unimportant positions in personnel matters, but not to mention the awkward relationship between Xu Min and Fan Ren.
She knew even better that her duty was logistics and she couldn’t casually interfere in matters not belonging to her department.
She glared irritably at Xu Min and said helplessly, “You know I just got promoted, how dare I meddle in personnel affairs.”
This was a rejection.
Xu Min understood, sighed, said no more, returned to her room, and continued looking for part-time jobs.
Zeng Yingying watched Xu Min disappear through the door, shaking her head inwardly.
She really couldn’t understand; a man like Fan Ren who devoted all his mind to his career was so great, so why couldn’t Xu Min see it? She was one step away from joining the ranks of wealthy women, yet she broke up with him.
Then she thought of Fan Ren’s bald head, and her phoenix eyes narrowed slightly as she couldn’t help but smile.
Indeed, compared to coaxing women, her own boss and Ma Wei were worlds apart.
Xingyun Manufacturing.
Fan Ren, wearing a safety helmet, was leading a group of engineers meticulously debugging the equipment of various facilities.
After nearly five months, except for the factory building which was the original un-demolished one, repainted and reinforced for direct use, they had started from scratch and completely redone the previous design solution.
It was now complete.
“Who’s responsible for that side? Why is the data wrong!”
Fan Ren stared at the dense strings of data on the monitor, his gaze sharp as he looked toward a wireless power supply device in the distance.
Several people in the field scanned around, their eyes finally landing on a middle-aged man.
Lu Youbin, leader of Research and Development Group Four. His face darkened as he stood up and said, “I’m responsible.”
Fan Ren looked at the middle-aged man, his expression turning grim. He was about to say something when his arm was tugged.
Turning his head, he saw Zeng Yingying gently shaking her head at him, then he thought of something and suppressed his anger.
“People from Group Two, come with me to debug it again.”
With that, he ran toward that side first, followed by a large group of young men.
Nearby, Liu Jun saw everything, his gaze lingering thoughtfully on that old guy.
Zeng Yingying walked back and nodded to him.
It was Liu Jun who had just pushed her, prompting her to react and tug Fan Ren; this occasion wasn’t suitable for causing trouble.
Liu Jun breathed a sigh of relief, then spoke to the woman nearby who had been waiting for the result, dressed vibrantly with a tall figure.
“General Manager Jin, it shouldn’t be a big problem. General Manager Fan took people to handle it. Please wait a bit longer; I believe the test results will be out soon.”
The visitor was Jin Qiaoying, manager of San Xin Group’s China Region.
San Xin Group had one of the world’s few fully automated intelligent factories under it.
This visit was to inspect and accept Xingyun Manufacturing’s factory.
Another purpose was that, if there were no issues, San Xin Group would initiate cooperation with Xinghai in related domains.
These were all won through Liu Jun’s personal efforts.
Lately, seeing Fan Ren busy like a dog, how could he have the nerve to slack off.
In the end, he approached San Xin Group, which had relatively good relations with Xinghai and valued technology highly, and proposed a cooperation suggestion.
Jin Qiaoying’s gaze followed Fan Ren, and upon hearing this, she originally wanted to tease Liu Jun a bit, but she saw a particularly beautiful woman in the crowd not far away staring fixedly at her.
Su Yu Rou.
Boring, talking about romance at such a young age.
Sighing, Jin Qiaoying said, “San Xin Group has always valued the conveniences brought by technological development. If Xingyun’s innovation is successful, I believe San Xin internally will definitely accept cooperation with Xinghai.”
Pausing, she corrected, “For General Manager Liu’s sake, at least I personally can decide on one or two cooperation projects for new factory buildings.”
That’s good!
Liu Jun nodded emphatically. If the cooperation succeeded, Xinghai would have a new revenue source, and the company’s difficulties would see a glimmer of hope.
He was the company’s vice president and one of the few who knew the funds on the company’s books were nearly depleted.
“Look, General Manager Fan is back. It should be fine now; wait a moment for the results.”
Liu Jun looked excited, while Jin Qiaoying nodded noncommittally, waiting for the result.
Back at the main unit, Fan Ren started the equipment again for testing, his gaze on the data panel.
Each data point was nearly perfect. With his brain racing, he roughly calculated the production efficiency.
After the first round of mechanical operation, Fan Ren’s brows relaxed.
A few more test rounds, he thought, as he started the machine again to observe the data feedback.
With test results coming one after another, half an hour later, Fan Ren excitedly announced to everyone present.
“Test production passed perfectly. Thank you all for your hard work during this time.”
Fan Ren bowed to the group of young engineers in front of him.
The factory erupted in cheers!
Immediately after, Fan Ren announced a paid week off for all Research and Development Department employees and, ignoring Liu Jun’s glare from afar, offered a huge bonus.
The entire factory plunged into ecstasy.
Xinghai Reception Room.
Fan Ren had no time to rest and invited Jin Qiaoying, who had come back with them, to talk.
Jin Qiaoying smoothed her skirt, her fair legs slightly angled as she sat in front of Fan Ren, removing her sunglasses to reveal a pair of captivating big eyes fixed on his bald head.
Finally, after Fan Ren awkwardly touched his bald head, she laughed softly.
“Haha, sorry, couldn’t hold back. Did you shave your head to sharpen your will?”
Fan Ren helplessly spread his hands and joked, “Is there an eternal truth in our technical field that you know?”
Jin Qiaoying shook her head puzzled.
“The less hair, the stronger the strength. Shiny head, sparkling wisdom.”
“Pfft.”
She couldn’t hold back, her crisp laughter echoing in the meeting room.
Liu Jun stayed silent nearby. He suddenly felt that although he negotiated the cooperation, it now seemed unrelated to him again.
“General Manager Jin, this is the test data just sent by the Technical Department. You should understand it. From the previous rough tests, the entire production process, due to extensive use of high-voltage radio technology, reduced power consumption costs by 30%.
And improved production efficiency by 10%. Plus, you should know that the extensive application of this technology will save considerable expenses in future equipment maintenance and upkeep.”
Fan Ren handed a document to Jin Qiaoying while explaining from the side.
He was extremely satisfied with the factory’s test results today. As he spoke, he couldn’t help but glow with excitement.
Jin Qiaoying had reached her position as China Region manager partly due to her status as a direct descendant daughter by blood, but her own abilities were also key.
She was responsible for signing the authorization for high-voltage wireless charging technology; though not as thoroughly knowledgeable as Fan Ren, she knew the development trends.
At this moment, under Fan Ren’s introduction, she kept nodding. Staring at the strings of data, she couldn’t help but marvel inwardly.
Fan Ren only handled the technical part. After finishing the introduction and noticing Jin Qiaoying’s reaction, he signaled Liu Jun with his eyes.
Negotiating cooperation was Liu Jun’s domain.
Liu Jun quickly joined in, and the two took turns speaking, spending considerable time to finally settle on a rough cooperation intention.
Xinghai would provide San Xin Group with all applicable high-voltage radio technology support and corresponding equipment for two intelligent fully automated factories currently in preparation.
In return, San Xin Group would pay 200 million in technical consulting fees, plus additional equipment funds.
Fan Ren roughly calculated that, excluding the 200 million technical consulting fee, the equipment funds alone would earn over 30 million more.
Though it didn’t seem like much, it would allow the factory to start operations without waiting idly for orders.
After half a year of heads-down hard work, he couldn’t help feeling a sense of relief after hardship.
