Chapter 25: When Zuo Rou Gets A Set Of White Dragon School Uniforms
An extremely quiet three minutes.
No one asked questions.
The aura emanating from Teacher Xi Ran had already intimidated this group of first-year high school students. Even if they had questions, they probably wouldn’t dare to ask them at this time.
“Very good, my disappointment in you has risen another level.” Teacher Xi Ran closed the blackboard and said: “Since you have no questions, I’ll start talking about the second thing.”
“Everyone will receive a package at the dormitory doorway when returning at noon. That’s your school uniform. You’ve probably seen the senior students wearing it these past couple of days. To emphasize, you must wear it from Monday to Friday.”
“If you don’t see the package box when returning to the dormitory, some of you had better consider if you’ve offended someone on the first day of school. Starting from 13:30 this afternoon, if anyone appears under the camera without wearing the school uniform, your 5% civilized conduct score probably won’t be left with much.”
Teacher Xi Ran mentioned the camera multiple times.
‘If rule-breaking behavior isn’t caught by the camera, it doesn’t count as a violation.’ Zuo Hang thought he could interpret it that way.
But the reason he wasn’t deducted points for skipping class wasn’t because there were no cameras on the way from the sports field to the Pokémon Center, but because the school rules didn’t have any provision for deducting points for skipping class at all.
Zuo Hang suddenly became a bit curious.
Hoshino Ryuji’s student ID is 002, so how did he end up ranked last?
“Hey, Xingye.” Zuo Hang patted Hoshino Ryuji.
“Huh? What?” Hoshino turned around.
“How did your ranking end up dead last?”
“Ugh, don’t bring it up.” Hoshino waved his hand and said: “Last night after eating noodles and coming back, I saw a few Class E delinquents pinning a walking grass in the corner, and those scumbags were burning the leaves on the walking grass’s head with cigarette butts.
There’s no way I could tolerate that. In the end, Snowy Child and I couldn’t beat that group from Class E, but luckily the walking grass was clever enough and ran away while I was fighting with the Class E guys.”
Hoshino Ryuji said indignantly: “There’s a camera above the corner, I remember it clearly. Those scumbags absolutely can’t get away with it. I just don’t know how the school will handle it, or if they’ll really expel them directly as written in the school rules.”
“Damn it!” Hoshino cursed, “I get deducted points for acting bravely for a just cause, what kind of bullshit school rules are these!”
Fighting is a bit more serious than smoking, and deducts more points, so it’s no wonder Hoshino ended up ranked last.
Today Snowy Child wasn’t standing on Hoshino’s shoulder; it must have been slightly injured yesterday. Zuo Hang had indeed seen a Snowy Child at the Pokémon Center last night.
That noon.
Zuo Hang returned to the dormitory.
Sure enough, there was a package at the doorway.
He took the box inside; it contained school uniforms for summer and autumn. The summer uniform had two sets, probably for changing.
The boys’ school uniform was very simple: a white shirt and black shorts, with the White Dragon school emblem printed on them. The decorative patterns on the clothes used the currently popular style. The autumn uniform seemed to be a slim-fit casual suit. Zuo Hang didn’t try it on; he changed into the summer school uniform and left the dormitory.
Fletchling was still at the Pokémon Center. If nothing unexpected happened, it should have recovered by now.
“Don’t stay up late training next time~” The nurse miss handed Fletchling’s Poké Ball to Zuo Hang.
As he was about to leave, Zuo Hang suddenly spotted Zuo Rou walking along the wall, looking sneaky, clearly avoiding him.
???
Three question marks flashed in Zuo Hang’s mind.
Zuo Rou only had one Piplup, and she didn’t seem to have done anything yesterday that would injure it.
The moment she saw Zuo Hang, Zuo Rou, like a child who had done something wrong, quickly minimized the Poké Ball in her hand and tucked it into her belt.
Zuo Rou had also changed into the school uniform: a white shirt like Zuo Hang’s, but the girls’ version was fitted at the waist. She wore black school uniform shorts below, also form-fitting with much less fabric than the boys’. Given Zuo Rou’s personality, she definitely wouldn’t wear the matching short skirt, but Zuo Hang thought these shorts seemed even more sensual.
Lifting his sister’s fluffy hair, Zuo Hang frowned. He saw Zuo Rou’s faint dark circles.
“You stayed up late?”
“No, I… Alright, I was wrong.” Zuo Rou tried to argue but was forced to admit it grudgingly by Zuo Hang’s fierce gaze.
“Why did you stay up late?!”
“I always stay up late!!”
Zuo Hang: “???”
Zuo Rou did stay up late often, but before it was always for watching shows and playing games. Watching shows clearly wouldn’t bring her to the Pokémon Center.
Combining Zuo Rou’s earlier sneaky behavior of avoiding Zuo Hang and her action of hiding the Poké Ball, the reason she came to the Pokémon Center was already clear.
Most likely, she had been giving Turtwig extra training at night, and the little one, just born a few days ago, had an accident during training just like Fletchling.
Zuo Hang sighed and said: “Sorry, that’s my fault. I forgot you have no experience as a trainer. I’ll train with you from now on, so don’t stay up late training anymore! Got it? Turtwig was born just a few days ago, not even a week, right? When you were just a week old, you wouldn’t have wanted old man forcing you to walk and talk every day, would you?”
When lecturing his sister, the words suddenly multiplied.
Actually, the person lecturing should have considered if they were setting a good example themselves beforehand.
The one who trained continuously for four hours and directly carried Fletchling to the Pokémon Center seemed to have no right to say such things, but as the person involved, Zuo Hang was completely unaware and was lecturing his sister in the role of the younger brother.
“Sigh, I got it, I was wrong, stop talking, my head’s gonna split from all your words.” Zuo Rou covered her ears and said, “No more staying up late, I won’t stay up late! Never again! Good little brother, leave your big sister a way to live!”
Zuo Hang was stunned.
Leave a way to live?
Am I that annoying?
“Pikachu, am I that annoying?”
“Pika~” The Electric Mouse spread its hands, making a definite affirmative gesture.
That’s right, you are that annoying!
Zuo Hang: “!!!”
“No, don’t listen to the Electric Mouse’s nonsense. How could I find you annoying? Everything Zuo Hang says is right; big sister will always like Zuo Hang.” Zuo Rou suddenly lifted her head and gently touched Zuo Hang’s head, just as he had lifted her hair earlier.
The slightly curly fluffy short hair made people want to touch it. Huohuo had experienced this; the hand feel was as comfortable as it looked.
Cool fingertips inadvertently brushed Zuo Hang’s cheek, a temperature not belonging to summer that left him stunned.
How could a normal person have cold hands? Zuo Hang suspected his sister might have poor blood circulation.
Seeing Zuo Hang’s dazed expression, Zuo Rou suddenly showed a sly smile. “Heh heh~~ Was my good-for-nothing little brother teased by big sis? Hurry up and say some nice things; maybe big sis will show mercy and visit your dorm tonight~”
Tsk.
Zuo Hang flicked Zuo Rou’s forehead. “What are you thinking again? Want me to break your legs and send you to Germany?”
Zuo Hang said: “If you can’t find me in the dorm, just come to the training ground. I’ll take you training tonight.”
(ps: Another daily plea for two votes~)
