Chapter 119: The Innocent Elf Girl
Xilutiya walked through the quiet corridor and found the room marked number 3, with “Florera” written in floral script on the door.
She gently knocked, and soon the door opened, revealing the familiar wavy golden-haired elf in front of the maiden.
“Welcome, Xilutiya.” The other was still wearing a complicated floral-sleeved long skirt, her pink eyes filled with joy and happiness as she led Xilutiya into the room.
The entire room was like a blooming sea of pink and white flowers, of various sizes, with pure white, light pink, and cherry-colored fresh flowers decorating the room; stepping into it was like being in a sea of flowers and vine house.
Florera had Xilutiya sit first on the soft fabric sofa, then she herself took a flower-and-bird porcelain teapot to pour tea for her and placed it in front of her.
“Did Tiya cultivate these flowers herself? They are so beautiful~” She held the Fire Cloud Orchid that Xilutiya had brought as a return gift, her eyes brimming with joy.
“I cultivated it under Teacher’s guidance. It is called Fire Cloud Orchid and can release scorching aura.” Xilutiya introduced the cultivation points and experience of the Fire Cloud Orchid to her.
“Thank you, Tiya. I noted it down, and I will take good care of this child later.” Florera nodded seriously.
Then Florera took Xilutiya to tour and walk around her own room, introducing the arrangements of various flowers and potted plants in her room, as if walking in a botanical garden.
“Sorry, I planted too many flowers in the room, so it’s a bit crowded.” Although there were many blooming fresh flowers, giving a layered and intricate beauty, overall it did not feel too crowded—or rather, this beauty required a large number of fresh flowers for decoration; if too few, it would seem desolate.
“No, I think it’s very beautiful.” Xilutiya was not lying; this style indeed matched the beautiful elf in front of her perfectly, blending as one.
Among all the people Xilutiya had met, this elf girl was probably the most beautiful, second only to the mother in her memory; in terms of temperament, Madam Fran was more mature, while Florera had not fully grown yet.
“Really? Thank you for the compliment, Tiya~” The other clasped her hands together happily in response.
Then the two chatted about their respective backgrounds, which could be considered a real self-introduction, after all, at noon they had only exchanged limited things via notes.
“Tiya is from Regas Kingdom. I’ve heard of that place; it was founded by Knight King Regard.” It was rare for someone in the Camel Building to know this small country.
“I was actually not born on this continent, but in the Fragrant Wind Forest on the Second Continent, where many elves live.” Florera told Xilutiya about her old home.
“A couple of years ago, Father asked if I wanted to go out and travel, so I followed the transoceanic fleet here; it took a long time on the road.” She ran her hands through the golden hair by her shoulders in recollection.
“The elves back home are unwilling to come out, but that makes it easy to become closed-off and backward, so every once in a while, young elves are sent out to travel.”
“Oh right, I also cultivate 【Emerald Honey】 nature, and I like cultivating fresh flowers. At noon in the dining room, when I saw you, I sensed a similar aura, so I was very happy and took the initiative to contact you.” Florera spoke in a soft, gentle voice, carrying an unconscious charm.
Fortunately, Xilutiya was deeply favored by Brilliant Moon and could resist this unconscious charm, remaining unaffected.
Her figure clearly looked quite full and voluptuous, and her temperament and appearance were mature, yet her speech had a contrasting soft and delicate voice, which made Xilutiya curious if Florera was liked and adored by many people.
The two chatted about their shared love of gardening, sparking many topics, almost communicating to the point of forgetting everything else.
When Xilutiya checked the time again, it was already twelve at night.
Four hours had passed in a flash, making it hard to part.
“It’s already very late today, Florera.” Xilutiya had to remind the other proactively.
“Let’s end here for today; we’ll continue exchanging tomorrow.” She stood up.
Hearing this, Florera only then realized it was already very late.
“Ah, sorry, I completely forgot the time.” Florera apologized while lifting her skirt.
“No need to be so polite.” Even Xilutiya felt that this elf girl was too courteous.
“Mm, does Tiya have time tomorrow?” Florera looked at the maiden expectantly, her light pink eyes like rippling lake water, exceptionally captivating.
The maiden shook her head slightly; she hadn’t expected this elf girl to be so clingy, but she indeed had nothing to do tomorrow.
“I have time. What time does Florera get up tomorrow?” Xilutiya kind of wanted to sleep in a bit more.
“I can get up at five in the morning to wait for Tiya.” Her words made Xilutiya feel a slight guilt; maybe she should get up a bit earlier too.
“No need to be so early, Florera. Sleep in a bit tomorrow. I’ll come find you at ten, and we can go downstairs together, then have lunch.”
“Okay, Tiya~”
At parting, Florera gently hugged the maiden, and the touch of her soft body let Xilutiya smell a faint warm floral fragrance.
……
Back in her own room, Xilutiya thought of the 【Ice Cup Flower】 she had placed in the water bottle; by now the water in the bottle had frozen solid.
She prepared a flower pot and soil anew, inserted the Ice Cup Flower into the soil, then poured a little Emerald Dew Water, straightening the water pipe textures inside the Ice Cup Flower to let it absorb, and afterward carefully guided it so that this Ice Cup Flower grew a little roots and took root in the soil.
This should allow it to survive long-term, but how to cultivate it in the future, she had no clue at all; after all, unlike ordinary plants, this Ice Cup Flower was an innate extraordinary plant.
She would ask Florera tomorrow; she noted this down, then went to the bathroom to bathe.
She took off her clothes, stepped barefoot into the steaming hot water, and slowly immersed her body; Xilutiya felt waves of warmth coming from the water.
Exhale, it felt quite comfortable; she leaned in the small bathtub, looking at the snowy white ceiling above, her eyes slightly closed as she relaxed her mind.
After dozing for a few minutes or so, Xilutiya stepped out of the water, dried her body with a towel, changed into light pajamas, and headed to the bedroom.
Leaning against the headboard, she placed her notebook on the quilt, simply recording the day’s experiences and some things to note, then turned off the bedside glow lamp, pulled up the quilt, and went to sleep.
A good night’s sleep.
The next morning, the bell chime in the living room woke the maiden; she opened the curtains and looked out the thick glass window—by now it was bright outside, but all she could see was a blanket of white mist, not knowing where the camel was currently.
This window was completely sealed and could not be opened.
Then she closed the curtains and returned to the bed, burrowing back into the warm quilt, sleeping another two hours before stretching and getting up.
It was almost nine o’clock; she needed to prepare to go to Florera’s.
She combed her hair, washed up, changed into the white dress for today, tied the bow in her hair, fastened the ribbon at the collar, adjusted the sash at her waist, then put on small leather shoes; this set of clothes prepared for her by Madam Fran had a slightly childish style, making the already immature Xilutiya look even younger and cuter.
Not long after leaving her room, Xilutiya saw Florera waving to her in the corridor; upon seeing Xilutiya appear, the other lifted her skirt and trotted over, exceptionally happy.
This girl must have been waiting outside for a long time.
Holding Florera’s hand, the two maidens chatted and laughed as they slowly descended the stairs.
