Chapter 213: Clymene
This top Daughter of the Ocean, between her brows, still carried a trace of Sorrow, but her mental state was not too bad.
She was, after all, one of the foremost among the Oceanid Goddesses!
Whether her Power, disposition, or Wisdom, all ranked among the universe’s top Great Goddesses!
To put it bluntly, if she got serious, at least Poseidon would struggle to take her down.
(A certain Sea King still soaking in the Styx’s Coldness river water, in a dazed state, sneezed and spat out a few more bubbles.)
If not for her temperament, Power, and Beauty all being top-tier in the universe, the powerful Iapetus would not have married her as his Wife.
Just looking at the several Children she bore was enough to know how formidable and brilliant her Divinity and Divine Power were.
Although now Punished by Zeus to serve at his side for ten thousand years, upon arriving at Zeus’s Divine Palace, she naturally became the Head Steward inside the Hall.
It must be known that the Seven Pleiades and the Five Hyades, these are all the children of her Children.
Even Adrasteia and Ida, who have now been swiftly promoted by the God King, still had to politely call her Elder Sister in her presence.
Amalthea was even more so.
This similarly Daughter of the Ocean’s naive Nymph, when facing her Elder Sister—who ranked foremost among the Oceanid Goddesses and was extremely doted on and valued by Father God and Mother Goddess—showed great Respect.
As for the newcomer daughters of Thaumas—Iris and Alke—in the past, they wouldn’t even have qualified to raise their heads to speak to her.
Nominally serving Zeus, but in reality, there was hardly anything for her to do.
Gods and Mortal Spirits are fundamentally different, with no need for the trivial demands that Mortal Spirits have.
As a top Great God of the universe, as long as it was Matter, no matter what, it could be casually Created with a wave of the hand.
Moreover, with her status, no God on Olympus would dare bully her.
Therefore, at Zeus’s side, her life was actually more comfortable.
Although the Ocean was prosperous and beautiful, compared to Olympus, it was still far inferior.
And Zeus would even less likely mistreat her; truthfully, he had no time to mistreat her.
In the time after the Council of Gods adjourned, His Majesty the God King was finally returning home for the first time.
What gave her the biggest headache was still her foolish Child. The reason for her mental Fatigue was also because of this.
However, she was not yet in Despair.
The God King’s Divine Quality was still worthy of Trust.
Moreover, she was actively building Emotion with her new Younger Sister—Amalthea.
She thought that in the future, there would surely be an Opportunity to request the God King to release her foolish Child.
After all, this new Younger Sister’s personality was also so gentle and kind.
As long as she could forgive her foolish son, then once His Majesty the God King’s anger subsided and Menoetius had received sufficient Punishment, it was not impossible for the Child to be released.
After all, who would keep holding a grudge against a fool forever?
His Majesty the God King’s Magnanimity was not so narrow.
Also, what she felt most Guilt over was that Father God and Mother Goddess had been Punished along with her because of her request.
Not only had their Face been greatly damaged, they had left an extremely poor impression with His Majesty the God King, and were confined for a hundred thousand years, unable to leave the Ocean for a hundred thousand years.
For this, Clymene truly felt extreme Guilt and Sadness; Father God and Mother Goddess deeply loved her, and she equally deeply loved her Parents.
She had long resolved with Determination to serve the God King well and beg the God King to lift Father God and Mother Goddess’s confinement.
Even if not saving her son, she had to first lift her Parents’ Punishment!
Only in this time had she slightly calmed her Mind; mainly because the atmosphere inside Zeus’s Hall was harmonious and friendly, and the Nymph Goddesses serving at her side were basically her own Gods, so being here was no different from being home.
Currently, although she had not fully emerged from the stupidity done by Menoetius, she had accepted Reality and adapted to the feeling of being Zeus’s Head Steward.
To be honest, it felt pretty good!
After becoming the God King’s Head Steward, the Gods showed her even greater Respect!
Everyone knew that Gods closer to His Majesty the God King were the ones who must not be offended.
No matter her status, she absolutely could not be offended.
What’s more, this Goddess was inherently of noble status and formidable Power.
After familiarizing herself with affairs in the God King’s Divine Palace, she couldn’t help but inwardly Complain: His Majesty the God King was perfect in every way, except for being entangled with too many Goddesses.
After the Council of Gods adjourned, his divine form vanished, and in these two-plus months, too many renowned Goddesses had come seeking His Majesty the God King.
Especially after the earth-shattering events in the Netherworld, followed by the world-illuminating Movement on Olympus with the Dominator of Clear Radiance, several Goddesses had stormed in angrily to confront him, and in the end, she had barely persuaded them all to leave.
They said they were serving before His Majesty the God King—laughable; in reality, they couldn’t even see the God King’s figure!
The most work was actually speaking good words for His Majesty the God King, soothing those Goddesses who came to hold him accountable, telling them not to get agitated.
For this, Clymene felt somewhat amused and exasperated.
Just recently, upon seeing the Mistress of Radiance’s Moon Domain slowly Dispersal and vanish.
And the Moon Goddess herself, without any concealment, slowly returned to her own Divine Palace amid the escort(and support)of three beautiful newborn Moon Phase Goddesses, Clymene knew His Majesty the God King was probably returning.
However, this peaceful atmosphere on Olympus was probably not going to last!
Just looking at the Mistress of Radiance’s actions, this was clearly naked Provocation.
She had blocked His Majesty the God King silently, but the aftermath was made with as much fanfare as possible.
Once it Ended, they deliberately took their time, escorted by her three beautiful newborn Daughters, circling around the entire Mount Olympus before returning to the Divine Palace.
Since she dared to do this, she must be favored by His Majesty the God King.
Who knows, His Majesty the God King might gain yet another Wife.
However
Clymene inwardly felt quite schadenfreude toward the upcoming “good show,” and for this, much of her gloomy Mood had Dispersal.
Zeus was leisurely flying back to his Divine Palace when from afar he saw an exceedingly beautiful Oceanid Goddess coming to greet him.
Her figure was graceful and elegant, every Movement brimming with poise.
Without false modesty, her Beauty had reached an ineffable level.
This Goddess was Clymene.
She was the purest Oceanid Goddess, the truly most cherished Child borne by Ocean God Oceanus and Tethys the Mother of All Flows, not one of those Gods born from the natural evolution of Rivers and Lakes.
She was also one of the first several Children borne by the Ocean God Couple, their true pearl of the palm.
The Meaning of her Name was “Glory”; just this Name was enough to show how greatly the Ocean God Couple valued and doted on this Child.
Of course, Clymene never disappointed them; she inherited all her Parents’ merits: formidable Power, Vast Authority, gentle temperament, wise and intelligent.
Her Authority was “Water Flow,” making her the Great God presiding over the flow of the entire universe’s waters!
Moreover, Ocean God and Tethys had also granted her the auxiliary Authority over the entire Ocean and Freshwater.
She was the Great Goddess assisting Tethys in managing the operation of the universe’s entire water system!
And it didn’t stop there; she also possessed the Bloodline Legacy of that which strengthened the world’s Ocean Currents!
She too was a Great Mother Goddess representing the universe’s Creation Bloodline!
This could be seen from her several Children.
This Ocean’s Great Mother Goddess had a head of flowing Azure long hair like sea and sky, with soft locks reaching nearly to her waist.
It faintly shimmered with a layer of white glow, smooth and exceedingly delicate.
Just this head of Beautiful Hair was enough to make any God itch with desire upon seeing it.
She had the most perfect oval Beauty face, with a delicate high nose bridge, and thin lips of an utterly fantastical powder-blue, like the finest artwork.
She also had a pair of translucent ice-blue bright eyes, naturally moist and watery, brimming with tenderness.
One glance revealed extreme clarity and brilliance, peerlessly divine.
These were a pair of speaking Eyes.
Moreover, an exceedingly gentle pair of Eyes.
Clearly already the Mother Goddess of four powerful Gods, with features of a young Wife, yet with these beautiful Eyes, her aura was indistinguishable from a Maiden in her prime.
The Oceanid Goddess nurtured by Ocean Pure Water was purest and most beautiful, loved by all Gods.
Clymene revealed a peerlessly beautiful Smile that left even the God King in his sage time momentarily stunned.
She deeply bowed to Zeus in salute; with her bending motion, the mist skirt before her rose in a wondrous arc like surging Waves, fully displaying this Ocean Mother Goddess’s astonishing bounty.
After saluting, Clymene softly said: “Greetings, great God King His Majesty, Supreme Master.”
Zeus lightly nodded.
He felt that his sage time seemed to have passed a bit quickly.
“Beautiful Clymene, has anything happened lately? Do you find it habitual in my Hall?”
Clymene smiled and nodded: “Thanks to Your Majesty’s favor. Your Majesty’s Divine Palace is the most Sacred place in this universe. Clymene here naturally finds everything good, no different from returning to her own home.”
“During Your busy time, the respected Goddess of Sacred Justice handled everything impeccably, with nothing requiring the great You to act personally.”
“However.”
