Chapter 86: Civilization Memory Goddess
Prometheus’s lowered head drooped even lower at this moment. He respectfully responded: “Great Zeus, you are right. Any living being must bear responsibility for their own actions, regardless of the outcome.”
“But you are so merciful and tolerant. You treat everything in the universe with magnanimity, and the myriad spirits of the universe are fortunate to live under your rule.”
“Your mercy and magnanimity will be deeply appreciated by all things and spirits in the universe. I, Prometheus, am especially profoundly grateful for the affection you have shown to all things and spirits.”
Great Zeus did not stop, however. He continued speaking to himself: “The past is not worth mentioning; the future is more important. Adhering to the past order is not wrongdoing.”
“However, after the establishment of the new order, all gods and living beings in the universe should consciously abide by the new, sacred justice order.”
“The sacred order I have established.”
Prometheus quietly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. He knew he had passed.
He raised his head, his voice tinged with excitement and reverence: “Great Zeus, thank you for your chest as vast and boundless as the sky. You will surely establish a new sacred justice order, bringing prosperity and tranquility to the universe. Your order will be implemented throughout the universe, and all gods will obey your supreme will!”
He then dropped to one knee, swearing allegiance to Zeus in the most devout posture: “Respected and glorious Great Zeus, holy Goddess Queen Son of Rhea, Prometheus hereby pledges allegiance to you! Your will is Prometheus’s will!”
“Prometheus, Prometheus.” Zeus softly repeated the name twice. His voice was not loud, nor was his tone cold, but there was always an inexplicable connotation.
Immediately, Zeus’s tone became gentle yet majestic: “I, Zeus, sacred Son of Rhea, hereby accept your allegiance.”
“My dear friend, I will forever remember the help and support from any friend who pledges allegiance to me.”
“Likewise, any living being who dares to violate my sacred order will ultimately face the most severe punishment!”
Without waiting for Prometheus to speak, Zeus issued an order to leave: “Prometheus, the gods are reveling, and the holy Goddess of Order, Lady of Justice, is about to stand by our side. Final victory will undoubtedly belong to us!”
“Go enjoy this wonderful feast with the gods. In the future, we will share this beautiful new world together.”
Prometheus respectfully replied: “Great Zeus, I deeply look forward to that day.”
After Prometheus respectfully withdrew, the future God King, who favored beauty, held the Goddess of Wisdom in his embrace, intimately rubbing against her delicate, petal-like pink cheek.
He softly laughed in her ear: “This God of Foresight has a side unknown to others, huh.”
“Hm?” The wisdom lost in her lover’s intimacy did not understand the deeper meaning in deep Zeus’s words.
Her gaze carried pure beauty and deep dependence as she looked up at Zeus.
Zeus suddenly changed the topic, with an irresistible tenderness: “My love, you go accompany the Mother Goddess to host the feast. I need to go to the Civilization Memory Goddess immediately.”
The irrational wisdom, immersed in her lover’s embrace, though extremely reluctant in her heart, still obediently rose.
Her slender jade fingers gently and affectionately stroked Zeus’s exceptionally handsome cheek, her eyes full of affection: “My love, the profound and serene Civilization Memory Goddess knows all the truth and origin of the world clearly. Please treat her with utmost sincerity and respect, without the slightest disregard.”
Zeus smiled and nodded, watching Metis’s light figure gradually recede into the distance.
After she had completely left, the vast divine palace held only him.
Only then did he gently sigh.
He had not wanted to meet Mnemosyne so early, but since she had made such a request, he could only meet her ahead of schedule.
For final victory, he had to make another sacrifice.
Brave Zeus, unafraid of difficulties!
Mnemosyne, this Civilization Memory Goddess, had long since moved away from Mount Othrys.
She now resided on a secluded and comfortable little island in the east, far from the clamor.
A god like her, transcendent of worldly affairs, was always extremely detached, untouched by the mortal dust.
Of course, her low profile was because she chose to be low-key.
But that did not mean she was easy to bully—quite the opposite. All gods in the universe held her in high regard.
No god wanted to be forgotten, or even lose the most basic memory.
Even less did any god want their unknown misdeeds to spread throughout the universe in an instant, becoming known to all gods.
Perhaps the reason the Civilization Memory Goddess was so low-key was partly because she knew too much.
A secret, before being spoken aloud, is forever the master of the secret and receives the gods’ respect.
But if the secret becomes known to all, it turns into an enemy of the gods.
When Zeus descended upon this flower-scented, bird-song-filled, beautiful and tranquil little island, a group of elemental beings who had been respectfully waiting there immediately came forward to greet him.
They respectfully led Zeus to the place where their mysterious master resided.
At the center of this little island was a small lake as clear as jade, and in the center of the lake stood an elegant and exquisite divine palace—that was the Civilization Memory Goddess’s abode.
After guiding Zeus to the lakeside, the elemental beings retreated far away, leaving Zeus to proceed alone.
Zeus was not at all bothered by the goddess’s disregard. With a composed demeanor, he strolled into the divine palace.
However, the instant his gaze fell upon the Civilization Memory Goddess, he sharply drew in a breath of cold air.
He then quickly turned his body aside, looking no more.
As if he had seen something utterly terrifying.
‘This isn’t right. Isn’t the Civilization Memory Goddess supposed to be the most dignified, plain, serene, and upright?’
Zeus exclaimed in his heart: “This completely contradicts her divine image!”
It was no wonder that even the usually calm and resilient Zeus couldn’t help but be startled at this moment.
It was simply that the Civilization Memory Goddess now before his eyes was far too capable of bewildering a god’s mind.
There was a supremely beautiful, serene, elegant, and dignified goddess, as bashful as a newlywed, lazily half-reclining on the vast divine throne.
She had black hair, black eyes, and black veil attire: a head of profoundly dark hair like the night, paired with equally pitch-black pupils and silky black garments, which made her flawless cold-white skin gleam with an alluring luster in the dimly lit palace, mysterious and charming.
At this moment, her pretty face was flushed, her enchanting divine posture slightly tipsy, her deep eyes hazy and hazy.
In her hand, she lazily held an exquisite golden cup, clearly already half-drunk, yet still savoring the honey wine delicately.
