Chapter 47: Hurry Hurry Hurry, Surrender To Zeus!
The battle between Zeus and God King Cronus lasted more than a month.
They fought until half the world had collapsed into complete ruins, then charged all the way to the vast and boundless depths of the universe.
Both sides unleashed themselves completely, battling without any restraint. Every clash of their fists and feet caused the entire universe to tremble, with endless cosmic elemental turbulence being stirred ceaselessly.
Countless brilliant galaxies were disrupted and shattered under their terrifying power, reduced to the most primordial Origin particles.
Both sides were evenly matched, with equally infinite energy and immortal, indestructible divinity, making it impossible to determine a victor. The battle seemed endless.
Even though the entire universe had suffered such severe damage, no god dared to come forward to intervene.
All living beings in the universe suffered heavy losses. If not for the many Great Gods stepping in to provide protection in time, they would likely have been completely destroyed.
Even so, only a few higher sentient beings such as gods, nymphs, spirits, and elemental beings were protected. Mortal lives could only fend for themselves.
In the end, both sides grew weary of this endless stalemate.
After God King Cronus’s rage temporarily subsided, he was the first to stop.
Both sides snorted coldly at each other, filled with unwillingness, and temporarily withdrew from the battlefield.
The gazes of countless Great Gods vanished without a trace in an instant.
The gods cast fearful gazes upon them.
However, faced with two evenly matched gods, how should they choose?
When the two gods returned to the world, the world they had shattered had already been restored to its original state, as if nothing had ever happened.
For Mother of All Gaia, whether existing matter was destroyed or not made no difference; she could restore it at will.
What was truly difficult to restore and impossible to rush was the creation of entirely new “existence” that had never existed before.
Mount Olympus was restored to its original state under Gaia’s divine power and was even constructed into a magnificent and grand Divine Palace.
Mount Othrys was the same; everything had been restored, returning to its former majestic appearance.
Mother Goddess Gaia had no intention of embarrassing God King Cronus over such a minor matter, nor did she intend to create new conflicts at this time.
After returning to Mount Othrys, God King Cronus immediately summoned all the Titan gods and Great Gods. His mood had now sunk to the bottom.
He now had to seek help from the other Great Gods; he absolutely could not give the scourge any more time or opportunity to grow.
The other gods were insignificant, but Zeus was too strong—strong beyond his expectations.
This was not a mere thief, but a true confidant’s great threat. If not dealt with quickly, it would become his eternal threat.
Even
He had held nothing back and had truly exerted his full power, but even though Zeus was slightly at a disadvantage, he had failed to achieve any substantial results and could not truly suppress Zeus.
Though he was extremely unwilling to admit it, he had to acknowledge that he alone could no longer solve the problem at hand.
This cooled his angry heart completely and sank it to the bottom.
He even felt a trace of fear that he was unwilling to contemplate.
He did not understand why such a Great God had grown up, yet he had not been able to harvest his power.
Clearly, the other was created by him and Rhea together; he should have been able to harvest his power.
Though puzzled, the greedy God King’s heart even burned with excitement at the thought of devouring a power identical to his own.
Then, there would truly be no existence capable of blocking him!
The God King thought beautifully, but how could he know that when Zeus had just been able to grasp divine authority, he had severed the connection of harvest between himself and the God King with his own laws.
Everything of Zeus absolutely belonged to himself. For God King Cronus to try to shear his wool was fundamentally impossible—not even a gate existed!
When Zeus returned to Mount Olympus, Mother Goddess Rhea led the gods to welcome him.
Mother Goddess Rhea’s beautiful eyes shone with radiance, her gaze flickering with pride and surprise.
She had not known her child was so powerful, exceeding everyone’s expectations and even her imagination.
Even she herself could not truly understand how powerful God King Cronus really was, because the God King had not truly acted for far too long.
The power displayed by the God King today filled her with lingering fear. If not for Zeus, they would truly have been completely annihilated.
The gods looked at Zeus. Though he still bore some traces of the great battle, the might he had shown in withstanding the God King was even more shocking.
All the gods felt reverence in their hearts, their awe and admiration overflowing.
Only Poseidon felt jealous and disobedient in his heart, but now he did not dare say anything.
Any god who had witnessed this great battle no longer dared to show Zeus the slightest disrespect.
Zeus naturally walked at the forefront, his posture upright, leading the gods into the magnificent Divine Palace to discuss how to confront God King Cronus next.
Within the Divine Palace, Mother Goddess Rhea invited Zeus to sit in the central main seat, while she willingly took a position below him.
With his unmatched strength, Zeus had won the gods’ complete submission and the position of supreme leader.
Rhea willingly relinquished all authority, entrusting the arduous and great cause of overthrowing God King Cronus entirely to Zeus.
Faced with the power Zeus had now displayed, all the gods were convinced and took him as their leader.
As the gods had just sat down, Oceanid Goddess Styx and her husband Pallas arrived with all their children.
They were not fully prepared yet, but their urgent mood made them disregard formalities, rushing over at the fastest speed.
Even Pallas was somewhat hesitant; he had been frightened by the terrifying power God King Cronus had shown in the previous divine war.
He had always known the God King was powerful, but not this powerful!
Was it really okay to get involved in this unfathomably deep war? The waters were far deeper than imagined!
The God King could slap his entire family to death with one palm!
No wonder the mighty and majestic Father God, when facing the God King, could only endure no matter how dissatisfied he was. The God King’s power was a despair beyond imagination.
But Styx did not think this way. She angrily told Pallas: “The first god to go support Zeus will be the one forever remembered by Zeus and eternally honored in glory!”
“Zeus has already shown such powerful strength—what is there to hesitate about? What can we gain by remaining neutral?”
“Will God King Cronus grant us honor? He will only continue to devour everything!”
“To have the brightest future, how can we not take risks?”
“Have you forgotten what Father God said? What is there to hesitate about?”
Under Styx’s strong insistence and urgent urging, their family rushed all the way and arrived at Mount Olympus first.
They were the first Second Generation Titan family to pledge allegiance to Zeus, aside from Metis.
Zeus invited the gods to sit and personally went out to welcome them.
