Chapter 14: The Greedy God King
Later on, Cronus, in order to consolidate power, resolutely demanded that all deities each perform their duties, allowing no god to overstep even slightly, and strictly limiting the gods’ range of action.
He did not have Uranus’s absolute power to control the world, and he also feared the emergence of new laws, new deities more powerful than him.
Heavenly Father Uranus’s final “curse” constantly made him feel threatened.

He did not allow deities to casually create “offspring,” did not allow the world to develop rapidly, did not allow laws to evolve.
Even if new laws were born uncontrollably, he only allowed the newly born deities to exercise them within the authority of their parental generation, strictly limiting their development.
Likewise, this was also to maintain his own rule.
He did not have Uranus’s absolute authority; his rule depended on the support of the Titan Gods.
By so rigidly solidifying the current order, he also sought to win over the other supreme Titan Gods and solidify his own alliance.
The world was orderly, but overly so—orderly to the point of near-total stagnation, like stagnant water.
Orderly to the extent that he had already violated the world’s fundamental principle, the principle overriding the basic laws.
That is, creation from “nothing,” and “something” eventually returning to nothing, cycling and transforming eternally without cease.
When entropy increase reaches its extreme, negative entropy begins; when negative entropy begins, it steps toward entropy increase.
The law of entropy increase is the supreme law among all natural laws; the world follows the law of entropy increase, while life feeds on negative entropy.
Whether entropy increase or negative entropy, neither can be blocked.
Methods can be found to use negative entropy to slow entropy increase, but it cannot be prevented or halted.
Even gods, even the God King, cannot defy this supreme law.
He had taken the wrong path and was still unaware.
Moreover, the God King had already violated his own laws.
As the god of creation, he feared the future of creation.
Fear also made him lose the essence of being a God King, the noblest quality, the most precious golden virtue of the entire universe—courage.
He had betrayed himself, betrayed the courage he once possessed.
His destiny was thus sealed.
But his madness did not stop.
On the contrary, the God King became even more greedy.
Or rather, it was precisely this ever-increasing greed that would lead him to his final outcome.
“If you wish to make it perish, first drive it mad.” This simple proverb was perfectly fulfilled in him.
To defend this rigid order he had established, showing an absolute attitude to convince others（in reality to increase his own authority）.
He set an example, openly and without disguise, devouring the Flame Law, which he and Great Mother Goddess Rhea had evolved and gestated, back into his own body.
As the God King, he himself was the embodiment of the laws of creation, growth, harvest, reaping, courage, and more, born from heaven and earth.
Great Goddess Rhea was the embodiment of the supreme laws of flow, operation, motion, vitality, gestated by heaven and earth.
The union of their laws naturally evolved and gestated the universe’s most supreme and fundamental law.
The first derived law was—flames.
This was the universe’s only missing, most important final element.
The four elements earth, fire, water, air（aether）—formerly only lacking fire—now this primal element of civilization was also unhesitatingly devoured by him.（PS: Ancient Greece also had the four elements theory; the only difference is wind and air）
He only wanted the laws, not the deities. He took the already gestated laws back into his own body; he chose to devour laws to make himself stronger.
Even though the gestated laws were innately spiritual, conscious, and substantial, innately Great Gods, he did not hesitate for an instant; his greed and ruthlessness surpassed emotion.
His actions shocked all the deities.
But shock is not deterrence. Deterrence existed too, just not much.
Born laws do not disappear; God King Cronus chose to devour emerging laws to make himself stronger. Though he “ate” his own “child,” this also made the gods vigilant.
Or rather, even more vigilant. For someone who does not spare even his own “child,” it would be strange if others were not vigilant against such a person.
Thus, other deities also began hastening to gestate new laws to increase their own strength, to guard against Cronus’s unexpected actions.
Lord of Radiance Hyperion and Sacred Goddess, Controller of Sight and Perception Theia, after the birth of the Flame Law, unhesitatingly gestated the sun and moon.
From then on, the radiance of celestial bodies in the universe was no longer just from aether conversion; the celestial bodies themselves also possessed powerful energy.
Stars began appearing in the starry sky.
The universe became brighter; the light and warmth of stars illuminated the vast universe, and the other celestial bodies also gained the foundation for life’s birth.
It was not only the couple Hyperion who began strengthening their own power; the other gods also began uniting to enhance their own strength.
However, wary of Cronus’s ruthlessness, they did not dare breed offspring on a large scale, but neither were they completely honest—they were secretly accumulating power.
The Titan Gods, originally living harmoniously together on Mount Othrys, after Cronus devoured laws, began to have gods leave to settle elsewhere, distancing themselves from this God King who was clearly no longer reliable.
Cronus had learned from Uranus’s experience, not establishing dictatorship（strength did not allow it）, but clearly had not learned from Uranus’s lesson in brutality.
He even surpassed Uranus in brutality. At least Heavenly Father Uranus had not personally devoured his own children.
He did not have enough strength to eliminate all the gods at once, nor to gather all power into his hands, so the cunning God King chose gradual erosion.
The greedy God King continued centralizing power. On the surface, he maintained order, solidifying the authorities of the primal Titans, defending the gods’ honor; in reality, he began secretly eroding the gods’ law authorities.
He not only wanted to prevent the future’s arrival; he also wanted to gather all the universe’s laws, to embody all authorities in one, becoming the true absolute master!
Through slow, step-by-step probing and erosion, he would strengthen his own power, erode the gods’ authorities—he aimed for one god as the entire universe!
In the immensely long time afterward, he and Goddess Rhea first gestated agriculture and harvest, then reproduction and fertility—nature too was devoured by him one after another.
Cronus was eroding the authority of the Mother of All.
Mother Goddess Gaia was relatively good-tempered; she never directly flipped the table, so she became the God King’s first probing target.
