Chapter 33: Zhu Zhuqing Withdraws From School
The next day, Shrek Academy.
Zhu Zhuqing devoted herself entirely to cultivation and wasn’t very concerned about external things, so she didn’t have many belongings. She quickly packed everything up and put it all into the Storage Soul Tool.
“Zhu Qing, where did you go last night? Why didn’t you come back with everyone?” The door to Zhu Zhuqing’s dorm was pushed open, and a girl in a blue dress walked in.
The girl looked at Zhu Zhuqing’s empty dorm and said in astonishment, “Zhu Qing, what’s this?”
“Rong Rong, I’m planning to drop out. It was nice knowing you during this time. We’ll meet again if fate allows.” Zhu Zhuqing said with a light smile.
The previous Zhu Zhuqing had always kept a cold face. After being classmates for so long, Ning Rongrong was seeing Zhu Zhuqing smile for the first time. Her entire temperament seemed slightly different from before.
“No way, so sudden? What exactly happened to you last night? Why drop out for no reason?” Ning Rongrong was greatly shocked.
Although Meng Huaifeng had casually told Zhu Zhuqing about their origin, Zhu Zhuqing wouldn’t foolishly go around blabbing about it.
Zhu Zhuqing didn’t say what happened last night and just skirted the issue, saying, “You should know full well what this academy is really like. As a normal person, what’s wrong with wanting to drop out?”
Shrek Academy’s publicity could fool ignorant commoner Spirit Masters, but to those with background and insight, it was full of holes.
The reason Dai Mubai stayed at Shrek Academy was because he didn’t care about freeloading and waiting to die, and Ning Rongrong was only there for fun.
“No… no problem.” Ning Rongrong was at a loss for words for a moment, then suddenly ran out of the dorm and shouted, “Oh no, Zhu Zhuqing is dropping out!”
Shrek Academy wasn’t big to begin with, so in no time at all, everyone came rushing out.
“Ning Rongrong, what did you say? What dropout?”
“Why is she dropping out?”
“What exactly happened?”
Everyone crowded around Ning Rongrong, asking questions all at once.
Zhu Zhuqing leisurely walked out of the dorm, stretched lazily, and showed off her perfect figure to the fullest—not at all like a twelve-year-old child.
“Zhu Qing, is what Rong Rong said true? You’re dropping out?” Xiao Wu ran to Zhu Zhuqing’s side and asked.
“Mm.” Zhu Zhuqing nodded lightly.
“Why drop out? Did the academy do something wrong?” Flander said with a serious expression.
“No, the academy has done very well within its own conditions.” Zhu Zhuqing gave Shrek Academy a bit of face, but it was still clear she meant the academy’s conditions were too poor.
Flander’s face darkened slightly, but he held his temper and said, “I know a bit about you and Dai Mubai. Did that kid Dai Mubai make you angry? Don’t worry, if Dai Mubai dares to go out and mess around again, I’ll break his legs.”
Dai Mubai said unconvinced, “I’ve been very well-behaved these past few days and haven’t touched meat at all!”
“It has nothing to do with Dai Mubai. I just want to leave myself.” Zhu Zhuqing no longer cared about Dai Mubai.
“Where will you go after leaving? Even if other places are better than here, how much can they improve your strength?” Dai Mubai said irritably. He’d already cut ties with all his old flames for her sake, so what was she throwing a fit about?
“That’s none of your business. Dean Flander, I hope you can approve my dropout application.” Zhu Zhuqing didn’t even glance at Dai Mubai.
“I don’t agree. Zhu Zhuqing, don’t be impulsive. Think things through carefully. If there’s a problem, tell us and the teachers will help you solve it. Don’t keep talking about dropping out.” Flander planned to smooth things over and suppress it for now. Maybe in a few days she’d change her mind and it would blow over.
“Dean Flander, I’m just informing you. Regardless of whether you agree or not, I’m leaving today.” Zhu Zhuqing’s attitude was extremely firm.
“No way!” Dai Mubai slapped the wall hard, his eyes red as he glared at Zhu Zhuqing and said, “I won’t allow it. Stay here obediently!”
“What I want to do has nothing to do with you.” Zhu Zhuqing looked at Dai Mubai disdainfully.
“I’m your fiancé!” Dai Mubai said aggressively.
“When you ditched me and ran off on your own, why didn’t you remember you were my fiancé?” Zhu Zhuqing sneered.
“What exactly are you throwing a tantrum about? Do I have to kill those women to satisfy you? I warn you, if you keep this up, even if I win, you won’t have a good end!” Dai Mubai threatened.
“I said, what I want to do has nothing to do with you.”
“You say it has nothing to do with me and that’s that? Go ask the Star Luo Empire first if they agree!”
“Then that’s none of your concern.”
Seeing that Dai Mubai seemed unable to handle Zhu Zhuqing, Tang San stepped forward righteously and said, “Zhu Zhuqing, just leaving like this for no reason—do you live up to the teachers’ nurturing of you these past few months? One day as a teacher means a lifetime as a father…”
“Enough, Tang San. The academy didn’t nurture me for free—I paid tuition.” Zhu Zhuqing interrupted Tang San.
Tang San’s face instantly darkened.
“Hmph, I don’t care what you think. Anyway, I won’t allow you to leave, so you can’t leave!” Dai Mubai said domineeringly.
“What if I insist on leaving?” Zhu Zhuqing narrowed her eyes, already poised to act.
“You can try.” Dai Mubai summoned his Martial Spirit.
The teachers of Shrek Academy watched silently, with no one stopping him. They wouldn’t personally stop Zhu Zhuqing from leaving, but since Dai Mubai was her fiancé, it was none of their business if he intervened.
The Master had long since had the thought of participating in the Continental Elite Spirit Master Academy Tournament. Zhu Zhuqing and Dai Mubai’s Martial Spirit Fusion Skill was one of their key trump cards for advancing—they absolutely couldn’t lose it!
In the small forest on the west side of Shrek Academy, Meng Huaifeng looked smugly at March 7th and said, “See, I told you, right? Zhu Zhuqing won’t find it that easy to leave.”
“This girl underestimated the bottom line of this academy.” March 7th said speechlessly, “I didn’t expect that after three dealings with this academy’s people, we’ve always been on opposing sides.”
“We’re recognized as good people across the entire universe. This just proves there’s something wrong with this academy’s people.” Xing drew the conclusion.
“They’re about to fight.” Meng Huaifeng reminded.
“Hmph, that scumbag wants to bully sister Zhu Qing? He has to get past me first.” March 7th pointed at Zhu Zhuqing, and a Shield enveloped her.
“Hm? What’s this?”
Everyone from Shrek Academy stared at the shield on Zhu Zhuqing, all stunned.
This shield looked somehow familiar…
“Sister March?” Zhu Zhuqing shouted in surprise.
“I’ve only ever heard of students wanting to drop out and teachers earnestly persuading them to stay. Forcing someone to stay by force—this is the first time I’ve seen it. Today’s been an eye-opener.”
The four members of the Pioneer Squad walked out from the forest, with Meng Huaifeng saying as he walked.
“It’s you!”
Everyone from Shrek Academy’s faces changed dramatically.
