Chapter 145: Kiss Kiss Kiss, Kissing Too Realistically
Inside the swimming pool.
Lin Xiuyuan held Lin Xiaolu, embracing in the water for a while longer until her emotions gradually calmed down, then he softly said, “Why don’t you go up first? Wearing clothes clinging to your body like this will easily make you catch a cold.”
Hearing this, Lin Xiaolu nodded lightly, then climbed onto the pool shore following his support.
As she stood up, water dripped from her body, forming circles of water stains on the white stone brick floor.
Then Lin Xiaolu turned to pick up the bath towel from the chair and wrapped it around herself. She originally wanted to sit on the lounge chair by the pool, but after catching a glimpse of Lin Xiuyuan’s figure in the water with her peripheral vision, she sat back in her original spot.
She brushed her damp long hair to one side, letting the slightly cool air conditioner wind brush over her cheeks and neck. The coolness was refreshing, yet it made her heartbeat feel even more uneasy.
Meanwhile, Lin Xiuyuan dove back into the water, said no more, and started swimming again.
As a boy raised in the south, those years of compulsory nine-year education summers were almost all spent in various wilderness outings and ponds.
Deep mountain pools, village streams, and so on—as long as his legs weren’t broken, he would keep jumping in to swim.
His figure cut sleek arcs through the water, his distinctly lined back appearing and disappearing under the sunlight, his shoulder blades and arms rising and falling powerfully with his swim strokes, like a freely sliding aquatic creature.
At the poolside, Lin Xiaolu’s gaze followed his movements in the water, but her heartbeat was still immersed in the earlier kiss, unable to truly calm down.
She reached out and lightly touched her lips, her mind replaying the scene of that embrace and kiss over and over.
This time, it was her who took the initiative, clearly and unmistakably so.
Not impulse, not impromptu performance, but an emotion that had long accumulated in her subconscious, finally breaking through the soil in that moment.
She suddenly wanted to confirm it once more, to confirm that the kiss wasn’t an illusion or a watery mirage.
She wanted to experience that emotion again, that moment’s palpitation and softness; she needed to firmly remember it.
So, when Lin Xiuyuan had just finished two laps and lifted his head from the water panting, he heard Lin Xiaolu’s soft shout from the shore, “Lin Xiuyuan, come over here.”
He swam over and stopped in front of her, looking up at her. Sunlight filtered through the glass ceiling above the pool, making the water droplets on his eyelashes shimmer with points of glow, his expression clear and bright.
“What’s wrong?”
Lin Xiuyuan, who had come to the shore and was leaning there, wiped his face and asked with some curiosity.
Lin Xiaolu didn’t speak, just pulled the bath towel a bit tighter, then slowly leaned down, gazing at him intently, “Come to me.”
“You’re not trying to tease me, are you? You were clearly the one who took the initiative just now.”
Though saying this, Lin Xiuyuan stepped up the stairs at the bottom of the pool to her side, smiling, “What exactly is it? Why don’t you come down, and I’ll teach you to swim.”
The boy had just finished speaking when, in the next second, the girl’s face quietly approached before his eyes.
She leaned down, gently yet firmly, and kissed him again.
This time, there were no water waves to conceal it, nor a sudden fall, but in the early morning air woven with sunlight and water vapor.
Lin Xiaolu consciously, soberly, kissed Lin Xiuyuan.
The figure being kissed had his eyes widen gently for an instant, then focused on feeling the warmth landing on his lips.
When she slowly pulled away from his lips, Lin Xiuyuan still looked up at her, his brows and eyes smiling as he softly said, “So, did you verify anything?”
This time there was no atmosphere at all. Lin Xiuyuan, always very self-aware, knew very well that this little deer Bambi in front of him definitely wouldn’t have fallen for him; it was just ‘experiencing’ or ‘verifying’ some feeling.
But he didn’t find it humiliating at all. Getting a free embrace and kiss with a beauty—what was there to be insulted about?
Facts proved he was right.
Lin Xiaolu, having heard the answer, pursed her lips into a smile, hands supporting her knees, “Yeah, I verified that kissing after that moment feels completely different.”
Lin Xiuyuan chuckled lowly in response, “Want to try again? I haven’t had enough yet.”
“Wait for it; there should be a next time.”
Lin Xiaolu, like a little fox who got a good deal, hugged the bath towel and sat up straight, humming lightly, but her eyes sparkled brightly, unable to hide her smugness.
Lin Xiuyuan shook his head with a light laugh, lifted his hand to brush the water from his face, then slowly stood up supporting the pool edge. Water droplets trailed down his shoulders and abdominal lines, but the gaze he directed at Lin Xiaolu carried a bit of seriousness and an emotion that wouldn’t miss the chance, “Don’t wait for next time—just this time.”
Lin Xiaolu was stunned for a moment, while Lin Xiuyuan strode out of the pool, bringing water vapor and body heat, approaching her step by step.
She instinctively shrank back a little, yet couldn’t control the curve of her lips.
……
Half an hour later.
After washing up, the two changed into clean clothes and lazily lay embracing on the sofa, the atmosphere still lingering with the afterglow of water vapor and emotions.
Lin Xiaolu turned to look at the man behind her and couldn’t help laughing out loud, “Lin Xiuyuan, I really didn’t expect you to hold back.”
“Same to you.”
Lin Xiuyuan played with her slender fingers, his tone relaxed, but his eyes still burned with undissipated fire; he just didn’t take it further.
Even according to this little deer Bambi in his arms, if he had really continued just now, she probably wouldn’t have refused.
But at the moment he was about to undo the clothes, he suddenly got a bit temperamental.
He couldn’t just offer everything up the moment she lightly hooked her finger, right?
Even before she said a single word, he was already willingly surrendering?
If it were him a month ago, he might have gone all the way.
But lately, he’d been served the finest dishes delivered right to his door, rich in flavor, naturally making his appetite pickier.
So facing Lin Xiaolu, he instead felt a competitive urge: If you don’t take that step, I’ll stop and see who can’t hold out first.
It was just an edging challenge, nothing he hadn’t played before.
Compared to the Krystal from back then who came at him unreservedly with fiery passion, the current Lin Xiaolu was still far behind.
Besides, before coming to Tokyo, he’d been “fed” for a full three days, leaving his mood and state in a subtle balance of “content but not urgent.”
So when Lin Xiaolu detected that sudden stubbornness in his tone, she couldn’t help turning to glance at him, both annoyed and amused.
“Boys like you just suddenly get this unreasonable stubborn temper, don’t you?”
She’d already hinted so clearly—what more did he want? Did she have to squat down and take off his pants for him?
“Maybe. Puberty’s like that.”
Lin Xiuyuan shrugged, feeling her body gently leave his embrace. He simply stretched out his arms, looking at Lin Xiaolu sitting in front of him with a smile.
Her clear deer eyes stared at him for a while, then she raised her lips into a smile, “I get it—you’re deliberately holding back for some petty emotion, right?”
But as a beauty, Lin Xiaolu had her pride too.
Kissing and such small things, she could take the initiative without losing too much face.
But that final step—if she still had to initiate it, she’d feel it was a bit too much.
So for the rest of the day, the two began their own unique ‘intimate’ battle.
……
Today’s Tokyo sunlight was bright and clear; noon sun pierced through the floor-to-ceiling window, sprinkling into the room, bathing the entire space in a layer of pale gold.
After finishing that conversation, Lin Xiuyuan went back into the water for another swim.
This time he wore loose short-sleeved shorts, leaning by the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a juice in one hand and with the other in his pants pocket, gazing at the distant high-rises and ever-changing sky.
His shoulders and neck still held the dampness from swimming, yet warmed slightly by the sun’s evaporation.
Lin Xiaolu wore a refreshing camisole dress, standing beside him, also holding a cup of juice, but stealing glances at him now and then.
Looking at his profile with clear contours under the sunlight, prominent brow bone, thick and slightly curled eyelashes, focused gaze—he looked so calm, so serious.
Previous scenes flashed by, making Lin Xiaolu’s heart suddenly skip.
Suddenly, she chuckled softly, leaned forward, and came right up to his face.
“Lin Xiuyuan.” Lin Xiaolu called out.
“Hm?”
Thinking something was up, Lin Xiuyuan turned his head, only to have his lips blocked by hers the moment he did.
No hesitation, no warning.
Lin Xiaolu was like a kitten suddenly pouncing to make trouble, silent yet direct.
Her lips pressed against his, unhurried, gently kissing up.
Lin Xiuyuan froze for a moment; even with juice still in hand, his body stiffened briefly before he set the cup on the nearby table, wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer.
Sunlight slanted down, their shadows overlapping in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, layer upon layer.
This kiss had more warmth than the one at the pool.
Moments later, Lin Xiaolu, lightly nibbling his lower lip, pulled back half an inch, her eyes rippling as she looked at him, “What about now? Can you still hold back?”
Lin Xiuyuan took a deep breath, chuckled lowly, leaned down, and pecked her forehead, “I can hold back. Just a bit sugar high.”
“Oh, really? Looking down on me, huh.”
Lin Xiaolu laughed in annoyance, tugged at his shirt front, with unwillingness and a touch of shy irritation, turned and walked to the sofa.
“I could say the same thing,” Lin Xiuyuan laughed behind her, shaking his head.
And this was merely the beginning.
……
Afternoon.
This time the two didn’t go out for a meal but ordered room service.
In the spacious living room of the presidential suite, Lin Xiaolu sat across from Lin Xiuyuan, watching him eat while poking at the pasta on her meal tray, pondering something.
Lin Xiuyuan, while eating, occasionally looked up at her with a smiling gaze, his lips curved in easy amusement.
One ate like feeding a cat, the other smiled like teasing one—the atmosphere was so comfortable, like an old married couple.
After the meal, Lin Xiuyuan got up to get water from the refrigerator.
The moment he turned, a soft force suddenly pounced from behind.
Lin Xiaolu charged from the dining table, jumped up entirely, legs wrapping his waist, hands clasping his neck, a wild and playful smile blooming on her lips.
“Let’s see how long you can hold out.” The panting little deer Bambi asked, then in the next second, her lips pressed up again.
Lin Xiuyuan was caught off guard by her kiss for a moment, supported her hips with his hands, holding her tighter, but just as he was about to sink in, he suddenly turned his head, deftly deflecting the kiss.
“Just finished eating—don’t you want a truce?” he said lowly, voice husky, ears reddening, as if suppressing his rising heat.
Seeing this, Lin Xiaolu wouldn’t let him rest, “What’s there to truce about? Didn’t we just replenish energy?”
“I’m afraid intense exercise right after eating full will make me puke.”
Lin Xiaolu froze, then punched him in annoyance, “Disgusting me, huh?”
“I’m just stating facts.” Lin Xiuyuan smiled.
Lin Xiaolu jumped down in a huff, grabbed a cushion from the sofa, and threw it at him, “Lin Xiuyuan, you jerk.”
……
A little past 3 PM.
The two who had just argued were now reconciled, nestled on the sofa watching an old movie.
The movie was picked by Lin Xiaolu—a French film, long and boring in plot, but he watched it surprisingly seriously, even leaning motionless on Lin Xiuyuan’s shoulder.
Near the plot’s climax in the latter half, she suddenly sat up straight, then once again took the initiative to turn her face and kiss him directly.
This kiss came unhurried yet was extremely intimate, like the softest slow-motion shots.
Lin Xiuyuan didn’t push her away; instead, he smoothly pressed her back onto the sofa armrest, one hand propped by her side, the other steadily pressing her slender waist.
Their breaths intertwined, movements practiced as if rehearsed many times.
Until she tried to go further, her hand sliding under his shirt hem, Lin Xiuyuan suddenly stopped, gazing at her intently, chuckling softly, “Can’t hold back anymore?”
Lin Xiaolu bit her lip, “Can’t you cooperate a little?”
“Kissing’s fine, but if you can’t hold back, you have to say it out loud—otherwise, no messing around.”
Looking at this little deer Bambi before him, Lin Xiuyuan suddenly got greedy.
“Hey, Lin Xiuyuan.” Lin Xiaolu was annoyed, her little mouth puffed up.
“I’m going to take care of a physiological issue.”
Lin Xiuyuan laughed instead, got up from her, and headed to the bathroom, leaving Lin Xiaolu on the sofa glaring at his back in frustration.
……
In the next few hours, Lin Xiaolu tried almost every method.
Starting from changing clothes, to getting as close to him as possible, including once when they washed fruit together to eat,
Lin Xiaolu actually bent down in front of him and licked a bite of fruit flesh from her hand, then gave him a provocative glance, “If I do this, would you eat it?”
The sight nearly made Lin Xiuyuan cut his own tongue, but he still held back.
Another time, she lay on his lap scrolling comments and news.
Suddenly she climbed up and kissed him; Lin Xiuyuan didn’t refuse but didn’t make a move either.
Then nightfall arrived.
After showering, Lin Xiaolu glanced at the boy on the sofa, then walked into the living room bathroom, planning to blow-dry her hair in front of the mirror.
Lin Xiuyuan, who had been lying there, got up and walked in. Seeing her in that skimpy vest and shorts, plus her half-damp hair tips, he felt his heat rising again.
Sensing something, Lin Xiaolu turned to look at him, smiling and beckoning, “What about now? Still holding back?”
Lin Xiuyuan narrowed his eyes as he approached, hand on her waist gently tightening; they were extremely close, yet he still didn’t cross the line.
He asked lowly, “Are you really waiting for me to speak first?”
Lin Xiaolu smiled slyly, “You’re the one holding back.”
“I’m holding back emotion, not you.” Lin Xiuyuan said flatly, fire still in his eyes but with a stubborn clarity.
This sentence completely stunned Lin Xiaolu, several vibrating emotions stirring in her mind, gradually impacting her psychological defenses.
The next second, Lin Xiuyuan turned and left.
Seeing this, Lin Xiaolu turned to him and shouted, “Lin Xiuyuan, wait…”
Just then, the room door’s electronic beep interrupted Lin Xiaolu.
Sulli, who had spent the day at the amusement park with Goo Hara, was back.
“I’m back.”
The cute young girl’s voice sounded from the entryway, then Sulli appeared in the living room carrying two bags, “Oppa, older sister, I brought back some good food for you.”
But when she saw the states of Lin Xiuyuan and Lin Xiaolu, she vaguely sensed something off.
They weren’t too familiar; instead, a bit distant.
What was going on?
Did they fight?
……
……
Two days later, evening.
Seoul Incheon Airport in 2025.
As a flight landed steadily and taxied to the end of the runway.
The big dragon cub in business class finally removed her eye mask, stretched lazily, yawned while looking at the pitch-black night outside the window, and said lowly, “Finally back… These past few days were really a bit tiring.”
Almost exactly the same posture as departure day, same movements, even her expression seemed copy-pasted.
She was still silently staring at the big dragon cub’s face, her gaze meticulous like doing a skin care assessment.
Until the big dragon cub waved a hand in front of her eyes, Lee Ji-eun slightly narrowed her eyes and spoke, “Ji-yeon, I notice your current state seems to have slipped back a bit compared to when we left.”
“Probably tired.” The big dragon cub leaned lazily against the seat, smiling as she squinted her eyes.
But Lee Ji-eun pressed on, “Not that tiring—just attended a music festival, a fan meeting, and had time for shopping.”
Mentioning shopping, she suddenly recalled a certain young cute boy, her tone pausing, “Right, Ji-yeon, Xiuyuan still hasn’t replied to you?”
Because over these past few days, she’d been texting Lin Xiuyuan, but like stones sinking into the sea, no response at all.
The big dragon cub had just picked up her phone to check, casually shook the screen, then shrugged, “Nope, but he told me before that he might be busy after getting back, no time to reply for now.”
Hearing this, Lee Ji-eun raised her brows, “What? We could reply backstage while changing—how busy can it be?”
But the big dragon cub smiled and added, “Seems like he’s going to comfort someone whose emotions collapsed, suicidal tendencies; he said friends have to take turns staying with her to prevent accidents.”
Now Lee Ji-eun had no objection—after all, it involved a life, “Alright then, he didn’t tell me about that.”
But just as she spoke, she keenly caught the satisfied smile at the corner of the big dragon cub’s lips that she couldn’t hide.
He didn’t tell you, older sister, but he told me.
“…”
Lee Ji-eun instantly felt stuffed with a heavy dose of dog food, gritting her teeth as she reached out and thumped the big dragon cub, “I know you two hooked up, know your relationship is closer than mine—really infuriating.”
As they were messing around, the phone on the big dragon cub’s lap suddenly lit up, the screen notification catching their attention.
She swiped to unlock and check; the big dragon cub’s eyes instantly brightened.
