Chapter 136: Im Yoon Ah: Cuteness Is Worthless In Front Of Sexiness!!!
The pace of lunch gradually quieted down as the group successively set down their chopsticks.
Finally, with Jessica paying the bill, the group left the private room one after another.
Outside, the sunlight was just right, with sparse pedestrians on the afternoon streets, and the air filled with a mildly intoxicating sense of leisure and laziness.
Jessica and the other two, still not fully satisfied from their chat in the private room, were now preparing to start the next activity.
Before setting off, Krystal turned to Lin Xiuyuan and asked, “Xiuyuan, where are you headed next?”
“Heading home first to rest my feet, and by the way, check on some little things from the old place over there.”
As Lin Xiuyuan spoke, he unlocked the car door and prepared to get in.
Actually, he had been worrying about how to arrange his time, but unexpectedly Jessica had done him a big favor, pulling Krystal and Sunny along for the afternoon session with just one sentence.
She even specifically mentioned to Krystal that he had to fly overseas for work tomorrow, saying they needed to share a bed tonight to have a good heart-to-heart talk.
Whether this little move was intentional or not, it seemed she didn’t want Krystal staying with Lin Xiuyuan.
Anyway, regardless, her accidental idea had helped Lin Xiuyuan out big time.
If Jessica knew that her action of sending Krystal away had unintentionally given Lin Xiuyuan an opening to meet another woman, she’d probably lose her mind.
And this “old place” had already become a code word among them, so Krystal understood immediately, “Alright then, I’ll find you tomorrow.”
“Mm-hmm, I’ll head out first.” Lin Xiuyuan nodded.
“Bye~”
“Let’s hang out next time, Xiuyuan.”
“See you.”
However, after saying goodbye to the three, Lin Xiuyuan didn’t head straight back to the villa; instead, he drove to the base of an apartment building, took out his mobile phone, and dialed a number.
“Hey, I’m downstairs at your apartment building. Come down.”
About ten minutes later, a refreshed-looking Yoona opened the front passenger door and lightly plopped down into the seat.
“Whew, how’d you get here so fast? I thought I’d have to wait a bit longer.”
“Left right after eating.”
With Yoona getting in the car, the engine roared back to life. Lin Xiuyuan hit the accelerator and left the scene, driving toward the villa in Gangnam District.
At the same time, he casually asked, “By the way, if you’re free, why not rest? Why come with me?”
“Exactly because I’m free, so I’m going back with you to check it out.”
As she spoke, Yoona used the hair tie on her wrist to tie her hair into a bun, her movements casual, with strands of hair slightly messy, yet carrying a special beauty.
“I’m just going over there to confirm with the renovation team about knocking through the apartment. There’s not much to do, really.”
“Then after you’re done, take me for a drive around.”
Yoona turned her head to look at him, her eyes sparkling brightly, like a little fox who had already planned the route in advance.
As soon as she finished speaking, she naturally slipped off her shoes, tucked her legs under her, and sat cross-legged in the front passenger seat.
As mentioned earlier, she was dressed especially refreshingly today.
She wore a white lace-trimmed top that looked like airy gauze in the sunlight, subtly revealing the soft light at her collarbone.
On the bottom, high-waisted denim shorts accentuated her long, straight legs. Now sitting cross-legged, the curves subtly overlapped, with a faint arc between her legs teasing the gaze of anyone nearby.
Lin Xiuyuan glanced at her while driving but found he couldn’t easily pull his eyes away.
Until Yoona leaned half sideways, her sunglasses slipping down below the tip of her nose, revealing her delicate little face with a teasing smile on her lips. “Xiuyuan, eyes on the road. I know I’m pretty, but don’t crash the car.”
Lin Xiuyuan swallowed, his peripheral vision unable to ignore those faintly visible long legs. “I’d like to hold back from looking, so could you put your legs down?”
“Hmm? Didn’t Soo Jung show you last night?”
As she spoke, Yoona wiggled her toes, her ankles fair and slender, exuding a youthful playfulness and liveliness.
Whether intentional or a hint, she added with a light laugh, “Besides, I think I’m in great shape today. My skin is super radiant, and my hair is obedient without any split ends. Doesn’t that mean my luck is turning around lately?”
“From the moment you met me, your luck has been on the rise, hasn’t it?” Lin Xiuyuan replied with a light laugh.
“Tch, if you’d said that a few days ago, I wouldn’t have believed you. But now… I’ll give you that.”
Yoona leaned her head back against the seat, a sly curve hooking at the corner of her mouth.
Her words had been casual, yet carried an undeniable seriousness.
Because for her, this “time-space door” was indeed a magical existence, enough to upend all her conventional cognition and refresh her worldview.
But thinking carefully, such a door might hold extraordinary significance for people from the past.
For her in 2025, though, it might not offer much substantial help.
Unless she really planned to smuggle large quantities of gold or rare resources for arbitrage based on information asymmetry.
But for her, already financially free, material needs were no longer the focus; there was no need to take risks for that.
So for her, the door was more like a mental crutch— not quite useless, but not destiny-changing either.
However, based on some little details she’d secretly noticed lately.
If that outrageous magical stuff really existed, that would be what turning luck around and changing fate truly meant.
At this thought, Yoona tilted her head slightly, her gaze falling on the golden-haired young man in the driver’s seat.
In the sunlight, Lin Xiuyuan’s features were clear and bright. Those phoenix eyes gained a boyish charm under the light, clean yet carrying an indescribable tension.
So she smiled and stretched lazily, her arm arching out from the sleeve of her white lace top in a soft, seductive lazy motion.
“By the way, Xiuyuan, have you told Soo Jung and Ji-yeon about you disappearing for a week? Don’t let anything happen.”
“I notified them during lunch just now. Speaking of which, Sunny really backstabbed me a few times. Should’ve had you bring her to lunch.”
Hearing there was a story, Yoona immediately perked up. “What happened?”
Lin Xiuyuan didn’t hide anything and recounted what had gone down in the private room.
Yoona laughed so hard she couldn’t straighten up, trembling with laughter in the front passenger seat. “Hahaha, I knew wherever Sunny unnie is, it’s never boring. She must not have expected your relationship with Soo Jung.”
“Who knows. Next time, we need to keep them apart.” Lin Xiuyuan glanced at the road ahead, responding casually.
“If that’s the case, I can help you, Xiuyuan.” Yoona tilted her head against the car window, her long eyelashes fluttering lightly. “But for fairness, after I help you, you have to come help me with the house renovation.”
??
Lin Xiuyuan looked at her, a bit puzzled.
House renovation?
Those words just sounded off no matter how he heard them.
Seeing his wary expression, Yoona laughed even harder. “Not what you’re thinking. Relax. I just like tinkering with little things—assembling, disassembling, painting walls and such. I need someone strong to help out.”
“Ah~ Sure.”
They chatted as they returned to the villa. Lin Xiuyuan parked the car in the garage and suddenly remembered something as he got out. “Right, should we call Lin Xiaolu along?”
Yoona stepped in front of him, arms crossed, her deer eyes watery as she stared at him. “No way? You want two beauties to keep you company on a drive? Am I not enough? Xiuyuan, greed isn’t good.”
Lately, her mindset had grown more relaxed, her words and actions bolder.
“Just a casual suggestion.” Lin Xiuyuan shrugged. “You’re acting a bit wild lately, Yoona. No schedule these days?”
Facing Lin Xiuyuan’s curiosity, Yoona explained, “Besides endorsements and some ads, I’ve been resting lately, in a period of precipitation. If not for you, I’d probably be off on overseas travel.”
With her last words, Yoona pointed at him. “So, Xiuyuan, you can’t disappoint me.”
“Huh? Disappoint how? What should I do then?”
Bewildered, Lin Xiuyuan was a bit lost; he didn’t know what Yoona meant.
“You don’t need to do anything. Just let it flow naturally.”
Yoona smiled meaningfully. “Come on, let’s see what Seoul looked like ten years ago. I’ve almost forgotten what it was like back then. And call Lin Xiaolu too—we twin sisters will take you around. You’ll have the time of your life.”
With that, they entered the villa and headed straight for the time-space door, soon returning to that old apartment in 2013.
Upon arriving, Lin Xiuyuan picked up the mobile phone on the table for a glance, then said to Yoona, “Wait for me a sec. The renovation company’s people are downstairs; I’ll have them come up to chat.”
“Actually, I have a question.” Yoona raised her small hand.
“What?”
“It really won’t damage the time-space door? I don’t hate 2013, but I don’t want to not be able to get back to 2025.”
After hearing Yoona’s concern, Lin Xiuyuan laughed and pointed directly at the door to the second bedroom nearby. “See this? I used that door for an experiment a few days ago. Smashed it down, and the time-space door was fine. You can let go of that worry.”
Glancing at the door, Yoona nodded lightly. “Good then. I’ll rest in your bedroom; call me when you’re done.”
Otherwise, with Girls’ Generation Yoona at her peak mysteriously appearing in an obscure apartment, if word got out, she’d be on the entertainment news headlines by afternoon.
After Yoona entered the room, Lin Xiuyuan called the renovation company’s designer to come upstairs, then went to the doorway to wait and dialed Lin Xiaolu’s number.
About 10 seconds later, the call connected. “Hello~”
The somewhat panting voice—had Lin Xiuyuan not known it was Lin Xiaolu—might’ve made him think he’d dialed the neighbor next door. So he asked, “Busy?”
“Yeah, rehearsal, but just finished. What’s up?” Lin Xiaolu adjusted her breathing and asked.
“Your teacher is here, dressed super pretty, wants to take you shopping and for a drive. Wanna join?”
“My teacher?”
In the practice room, Lin Xiaolu heard the odd explanation and reacted after two seconds. “Ahhh~ Got it, I understand. But why’d she come over today?”
“No idea. Wanna join in?”
By now, the designer, who had been waiting downstairs for a while, arrived upstairs.
Seeing Lin Xiuyuan on the phone, he quietly stood aside without interrupting.
Lin Xiaolu went silent on the line. “Alright, come pick me up later then. I’ll head back to the dormitory to get ready.”
“Sure.” Lin Xiuyuan nodded and added with a smile, “Don’t lose out. She’s all dolled up today.”
Lin Xiaolu went silent again. “Tell her to wait for me.”
She hung up directly, leaving Lin Xiuyuan grinning.
He pocketed his phone, shook hands and exchanged greetings with the designer ahead, then led him into Jeon Boram’s room, to the wall adjacent to the neighboring apartment, and began discussing.
The gist was simple: knock it all down if possible; if not, just make a door.
Anyway, this was the top floor, so structurally it should be fine.
Then just tweak the layout a bit, paint the walls, and add a new set of soft furnishings.
Not much to do, but time was tight—from when Lin Xiuyuan went to Neon with Sulli until his return, at most a week to get it all done.
Sure, throwing money at it could redo the whole renovation, but no need.
He wasn’t planning a major overhaul. The hard fittings in these two apartments were already good; mainly connect the two units, re-pair functional zones and atmosphere style.
That way, a week was just right—not rushed, no sloppy work.
The designer followed Lin Xiuyuan around the two rooms, nodding to his requirements while asking for more details.
The renovation process and discussion with the designer lasted about half an hour, ending with the designer wrapping up:
“Got it, Mr. Lin. I’ll draft the plan ASAP and notify you for confirmation. But can we really not extend the time a bit?”
“Max one week, no delays. Money’s no issue.” Lin Xiuyuan’s tone was firm. “Materials eco-friendly, process per contract.”
“Understood.” The designer nodded in agreement.
With that, Lin Xiuyuan watched the designer enter the elevator before returning to the apartment.
He quietly pushed the door open and saw Yoona still hadn’t come out of the bedroom, so he instinctively went to the door and gently cracked it for a peek.
The room was utterly still, the air seeming frozen.
A sliver of pale yellow sunlight slanted in through a gap in the curtains, landing just on that familiar bedding.
Yoona lay curled quietly in the light spot, sleeping soundly.
“She actually fell asleep?” Lin Xiuyuan paused at the door, unconsciously holding his breath.
She was lying on her side facing the door, her jet-black long hair scattered by the pillow, a few strands stuck to her cheek by static electricity, fine and soft.
Lips slightly parted, breathing steady and long, lip color pale like steeped peach blossom tea.
She slept deeply, unaware even of him opening the door.
Hugging tightly in her arms was the quilt he’d used the night before, clutching it like a contented little beast, cheek pressed against it, breath warm.
In that instant, a complex emotion welled up in Lin Xiuyuan—some indescribable daze, a touch of inexplicable softness.
He even noticed her legs slightly curled, one over the other, the edge of her shorts squeezed into a fine crease.
Her exposed knees and calves glowed almost in the sunlight, so clean it was hard to look away.
The sunlight seemed tailored just for her, softly enveloping her, making her whole being translucent and serene.
Korean entertainment workhorse, well-deserved reputation.
Lying there quietly now, she still shone like she was at the center of a shot, dazzling from every angle like a TV series female lead.
Just as Lin Xiuyuan found himself unwittingly immersed in the scene, his phone rang suddenly in his pocket. The abrupt ring not only startled him but also woke Yoona on the bed.
She slowly opened her eyes, expression still drowsy, blinking.
Seeing Lin Xiuyuan at the door, she paused slightly, then mumbled, “You done?”
“Yeah, just finished. If you’re sleepy, wanna nap more?”
Glancing at the caller ID, Lin Xiuyuan silenced it first and asked Yoona.
“No worries.” She stretched lazily, voice soft. “You’re done, so let’s head out.”
Only then did Lin Xiuyuan answer the call. “Hey, oh, just wrapped up here. You ready?”
Lin Xiaolu gave her answer. “Fifteen minutes.”
“Perfect, about time to head your way.”
After hanging up, Lin Xiuyuan looked at Yoona, who had sat up and fixed her hair, and smiled. “Let’s go. Little deer is ready too.”
“She’s not busy?” Yoona blinked, recalling the rehearsal schedule from back then. “I remember we were insanely busy at that time.”
“Busy, yeah. When I called, she just finished rehearsal.” Lin Xiuyuan smiled back.
Hearing that, Yoona smiled faintly. “She’s pretty eager then. Hope she doesn’t see me all messy; that’d be awkward.”
Lin Xiuyuan, thinking of the hint he’d given Lin Xiaolu, chuckled. “Should be fine.”
With that, Yoona quickly touched up her makeup and hair, then went downstairs with Lin Xiuyuan, got into the Land Rover, and headed straight for Girls’ Generation’s dormitory.
About twenty minutes later, the car smoothly entered the underground parking lot, the pre-registered license plate making the process seamless.
Soon, a familiar figure at the elevator caught their eyes.
Lin Xiaolu stood there, ponytail high, front bangs naturally wavy.
Wearing a denim overall dress with a striped sleeveless vest underneath.
The hem just past the knees, revealing slender calves, clean canvas shoes on her feet, whole vibe youthful and vibrant.
Hands behind her back, head slightly tilted, the overhead lights reflecting off her sunglasses in rings of halo, like playfully winking.
Seeing Lin Xiaolu’s outfit, Lin Xiuyuan turned to Yoona in the front passenger seat. “Oh ho, looks like Little deer found her strength. Right, Yoona?”
Facing Lin Xiuyuan’s laughter, Yoona said nothing, just smiled at him. “Xiuyuan, after all this time, don’t you get that ‘cute is worthless in the face of sexy’?”
Lin Xiuyuan was stunned. He got it, of course, but…
???
You?
Sexy??
Too busy these days, sorry, more later tonight
