Chapter 56: Rescued
Seeing their Prince surrounded by Yan Shiyi Lang, Han Xing and the others were greatly anxious.
This was because they all knew very well that the Prince had lost his martial arts, only possessing fast hand speed and accurate knife skills; if he truly fought Yan Shiyi, he would undoubtedly lose.
Hei Hu, who was holding up the stone tomb, suddenly erupted with immense strength and roared, “Prince, I’m here to help you!”
He forcefully pushed open the tomb door, but if the woman inside didn’t come out, opening it was useless!
Cheng Yu instantly made a decision, broke free from Han Xing, and shouted into the tomb, “Yunniang, if you don’t come out, I’ll go in with you!”
“If we’re going to die, we die together!”
He shouted this very loudly, and all the Zheng family members heard it. Zheng Pengpeng was furious; if this person truly died in his grandfather’s tomb, what would that make it?
He urgently shouted, “Quick! Seal the tomb door!”
Perhaps Cheng Yu’s words moved the woman in the tomb. The small soldier who had reached out to pull her felt a hand grasp his.
He exclaimed joyfully, “She’s out!”
Cheng Yu quickly squeezed over and, together with the small soldier, pulled the woman in white out of the abyss-like tomb.
The woman was pulled out abruptly and fell into Cheng Yu’s arms, her face already streaked with tears, “Yunniang is not worth such effort from you, sir!”
Cheng Yu, however, said firmly, “No, you are worth it! If we live, we live together. If we die, I, Cheng Yu, will die with you!”
Hei Hu said urgently, “You all move aside quickly, I’m going to let go.”
Hei Hu suddenly let go. The stone tomb made a ‘rumbling’ sound, but the tomb door did not close; it was likely stuck by a mechanism.
Zheng Pengpeng’s eyes turned red with urgency. Without living people to be buried with him, the feng shui would be ruined, and the Zheng family’s fortune would also be damaged!
He glared at Jinsui and the others, deciding that since that was the case, none of these people would leave today!
He would at most spare the Li King’s life, but everyone brought by the Li King would have to be buried with his grandfather!
Just as Yan Shiyi’s fist was about to land on Jinsui, Han Xing and Hei Hu rushed over, blocking his punch, and the three began to fight.
Yan Shiyi looked at Jinsui, who was hiding behind, and said angrily, “Didn’t you want to fight one-on-one? If you have the guts, come out!”
Jinsui was changing weapons. There were too many people; a tranquilizer gun could only take down one at a time, which was too slow.
She was getting tear gas, the same thing used earlier in the ruined temple to subdue the bandits and save Grandpa Ling.
Now that the people were rescued, and they were outnumbered, it was time to retreat!
Hearing Yan Shiyi’s challenge, Jinsui said disdainfully, “Who told you that a one-on-one fight means one against one?”
“This is extreme individual heroism, not conducive to unity.”
“Since it’s a one-on-one, then you pick on our group!”
Yan Shiyi was furious, “Utterly shameless! You, surnamed Jun, are a disgrace to being an Imperial Prince, you are a villain!”
Jinsui successfully obtained the tear gas and protective mask and casually replied:
“Yes, yes, you’re the adult, you fighting two is very impressive.”
“Hei Hu, they’re looking down on you. Hit harder with your fists.”
“Han Xing, lead the brothers and retreat!”
She jumped to the front of the stone tomb and shouted at Zheng Pengpeng:
“You, surnamed Zheng, today this King spares your life. If you dare to trample on human lives again, this King will definitely dig up your ancestral tomb!”
After speaking, she threw tear gas towards the area with the most Zheng family members. Soon, smoke filled the air everywhere, and everyone was coughing with tears and snot streaming down their faces.
Han Xing, who was prepared, led his brothers out of the smoky area, pulled Cheng Yu and Yunniang onto horses, and let them go first.
Jinsui also wanted to run, but she felt that just running away wasn’t satisfying enough.
Seeing Zheng Pengpeng, who was bent over and coughing violently, she had an idea.
Putting on her protective mask, she ran through the thick fog to Zheng Pengpeng’s side. Before he could look up to see who it was, she administered a tranquilizer shot.
Zheng Pengpeng fell to the ground. She said to Han Xing and Hei Hu, who had come to meet her:
“Stuff him into the tomb. Didn’t you want living people for human sacrifice? Let him sacrifice himself to his grandfather!”
Hei Hu didn’t say a word, hoisted Zheng Pengpeng up, and threw him into the dark tomb. Yan Shiyi chased after them, but unfortunately, he couldn’t exert himself due to the tear gas.
He watched helplessly as Zheng Pengpeng was thrown into the tomb.
Hei Hu once again unleashed his immense strength and forcefully closed the stuck tomb door.
The Zheng family members were greatly alarmed, fearing Zheng Pengpeng would die inside. They no longer cared about pursuing the Li King’s people; those who were still capable of fighting all rushed to push the tomb door.
Under this chaotic situation, Jinsui successfully retreated.
Of course, their own people were also affected by the tear gas. She quickly got some clear water to wash everyone’s eyes.
After rushing out of the Zheng family ancestral mausoleum grounds, everyone stopped, washed their faces and eyes. They looked at each other, and no one knew who started laughing first.
Then, as if a dam had broken, they all burst into laughter.
They laughed with great joy.
Hei Hu covered his fist and laughed, “I beat up the Yan family young master.”
A soldier laughed loudly, “I beat up the Zheng family young master.”
“This is the first time our Black Feather Camp has gained such great prestige!”
Jinsui laughed, “What is this? Following this King, the Black Feather Camp will do more and more significant things in the future!”
It wasn’t until Cheng Yu, holding the woman’s hand, knelt before Jinsui and kowtowed, “Thank you, Prince, for saving my life!”
Jinsui quickly helped Cheng Yu up, “Cheng Assistant Secretary, there’s no need for this. You are my person, and this King will absolutely not allow you to be bullied by others!”
“This is not a place to talk. Let’s return to the Border City camp first, and then you can tell me properly what happened.”
Although they ran fast, they couldn’t outrun the fact that Yanzhou was gentry territory. Some of the gentry present at the time had left early.
They had already led people to ambush on the road. Today, the Li King led troops to disrupt Old Master Zheng’s funeral.
This was a grave offense, and they could not stand by and let the Li King act recklessly in Yandi.
Seeing an interception ahead and pursuers behind, Jinsui told the soldiers to draw their swords:
“Break through!”
Yunniang cried on Cheng Yu’s horse, “If I implicate the Prince and he gets injured, I, who have a thin fate, will die a thousand times over! Let me go!”
Jinsui laughed heartily, “This is the first time this King has snatched a beauty; I won’t snatch her only to let her die.”
“Don’t worry, today this King will definitely bring you back safely!”
Han Xing said to Hei Hu, “When the fighting starts, you protect the Prince and leave first.”
Jinsui shook her head, “No, this King will take you all with me.”
Just as a riot was about to erupt, a rider suddenly galloped from Yanzhou City. The person shouted:
“The Yan family Head orders the Li King to leave!”
The Zheng family members were furious, “We cannot let him go! If he doesn’t kneel before the Old Master’s grave to beg for forgiveness today, the Zheng family will not rest!”
Jinsui felt that the fish ball she ate was truly worth it; this Yan Jiulang was a true friend.
However, even Yan Jiu heard the news in the city; Li Heng shouldn’t have missed it?
As they were speaking, Li Heng arrived with a large contingent of people.
Jinsui knew he was a mediator, but with him here, a fight definitely wouldn’t break out.
She quietly told the soldiers, “Watch my signal. When I say run, don’t look back, and gallop towards the Border City with all your might.”
Cheng Yu quickly asked, “What does the Prince plan to do?”
Jinsui said urgently, “While Li Heng is here, let’s run back to the camp first.”
She slapped her horse’s flank and rode forward alone, smiling at Li Heng, “Prefect Li, why have you come?”
Li Heng’s face turned pale with anger. You committed such an absurd act, and you’re asking me why I’m here?
If you weren’t an Imperial Prince, this official would not care if you lived or died!
