Chapter 14: I’ll Make You Scram
Xia Chenge deliberately took a secluded alley.
Those people saw an opportunity and swarmed forward, covering Xia Chenge’s mouth and dragging her into the waiting minivan.
Xia Chenge pretended to be unconscious, her hands bound, and was thrown onto the back seat.
“See, I told you, she’s just a kid, how much trouble could she be? We’ve got her, right?”
“If we can’t even handle her, then we might as well quit this line of work!”
The people in the car were smug.
Xia Chenge quietly opened her eyes. They probably thought she was incapable of resisting, as they were all drinking beer.
An hour later, the car stopped in the suburbs, and they threw Xia Chenge into a pre-planned abandoned warehouse.
The moment they turned to leave, Xia Chenge, whom they considered useless, opened her eyes, leaped up, and agilely jumped out of another window, reaching the parking spot before them.
“Boss, we’re done,” the two men reported to their boss after a while.
“Let’s go!” the leader waved his hand, not saying another word.
This person is quite tight-lipped! Xia Chenge was a little disappointed, not getting any information at all!
The men left quickly, but Xia Chenge wasn’t in a hurry to chase them.
She had left a tracking device on the minivan to monitor their communications. On the way back to downtown, the leader received a call saying they were to meet at nine o’clock.
The minivan had been parked at a food stall in downtown since 7:10.
Xia Chenge returned downtown to find the group still drinking and playing dice, each one acting as if they had reached the pinnacle of life, full of pride.
Xia Chenge waited patiently nearby. At 8:40, the leader’s phone rang, and she immediately perked up.
The man left soon after and stopped at the alley entrance 200 meters from the food stall. Xia Chenge quietly followed.
A moment later, a Toyota drove up and stopped.
The leader immediately stepped forward, opened the rear door, and prepared to get in.
Xia Chenge, who had been secretly observing, suddenly lunged forward. Before the leader could react, he was thrown aside.
The person inside the car was just starting to speak, “Everything’s handled, right? This is…”
Mid-sentence, the rest of his words were choked back in shock as Xia Chenge suddenly appeared at the car door.
Xia Chenge sat in the car with a forced smile, “Handled what? Butler!”
The person who arrived was none other than the current butler of the Xia family, Xu Hai.
He looked at Xia Chenge as if he had seen a ghost, “You, how are you here?”
“Where else should I be? My butler!” Xia Chenge retorted casually.
“You shouldn’t be here…” He almost said the word “suburbs” but quickly corrected himself, “How would I know where you should be?”
“Is that how you speak to your employer?” Xia Chenge stared at him.
Xu Hai felt a chill down his spine. They had only been apart for a few days, how had she become so aggressive? And she could even speak now!
“This is not a place for you, hurry back and don’t anger the Young Lady!” Xu Hai tried to remain calm, still not taking Xia Chenge seriously.
Xia Chenge scoffed at his words, “When has she ever not been angry when she sees me? Besides, I think the butler seems very disappointed. What are you disappointed about? Perhaps I can help you not be disappointed.”
“I told you to get lost, didn’t you hear me?” Xu Hai’s face darkened as he roared.
“Get lost? I think you’ll have to teach me how to do that!” Xia Chenge’s eyes turned cold, a murderous aura appearing as she suddenly kicked Xu Hai.
Xu Hai flew out of the car along with the door, landing heavily on the ground.
The driver, seeing this, was terrified and stared at Xia Chenge in horror.
“Remember, you saw nothing. Otherwise, you’ll be next,” Xia Chenge warned chillingly.
The driver, catching a glimpse of Xu Hai writhing in pain on the ground, nodded frantically, fearing the same fate if he was any slower.
Xia Chenge walked over to Xu Hai and looked down at him, “Come on, tell me, how do you spell ‘get lost’!”
“Xia Chenge, you’re dead,” Xu Hai shouted defiantly.
Xia Chenge smirked, “I’m afraid you won’t have the chance. How about I guess what you’re doing here?”
“What business is it of yours why I’m here? Who do you think you are to question me?” Xu Hai warned through gritted teeth, “You’ll regret this, Xia Chenge!”
“I won’t regret it, but I know you will! Kidnapping and attempted murder, what kind of charges would those be?” Xia Chenge stepped on Xu Hai’s chest, asking indifferently.
Xu Hai trembled, “I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
“I understand that old people have bad memories. The police will help you remember everything. Did you really think I could return without any preparations?”
“Your life has been too comfortable all these years, you’ve forgotten what it means to know your place, enjoying everything the Xia family gave you, only to trample on the Xia family in return.”
“Did you really think no one in the Xia family could deal with you? Reality will show you how cruel this world is!”
With that, Xia Chenge made a call to the police in front of Xu Hai.
Xu Hai was overwhelmed with fear and, on the verge of collapse, clutched Xia Chenge’s leg, “Miss, please don’t call the police, I beg you!”
Once the police got involved, this matter would become complicated…
“Who do you think you are?” Xia Chenge unceremoniously kicked him away.
Keeping someone like him in the Xia family would only cause trouble. If she was going to revitalize the Xia family, then Xu Hai, a confidant of Xu Jingyi, would be the first to be expelled from the Xia family!

“It’s too late.” Xia Chenge said expressionlessly. Just as the police call connected, she briefly explained the situation, and the police said they would come immediately.
Xu Hai slumped in defeat.
About fifteen minutes later, the police arrived and took everyone away.
At the Public Security Bureau, Xia Chenge abandoned her fierce demeanor and huddled to the side like a bullied little girl, shivering all over.
Xu Hai desperately denied kidnapping Xia Chenge, claiming she was mentally abnormal and that he was merely taking her back to the Xia family.
The police officer sneered, “I’ve never seen such a lunatic who could orchestrate their own kidnapping.”
The group who had kidnapped Xia Chenge had also been apprehended. They were drunk and boasting about the kidnapping, confessing everything without needing to be interrogated.
Faced with irrefutable evidence, Xu Hai had nothing to say.
He never expected that after helping Xia Minglan scheme, he would be the first to fall into the trap!
However, Xu Hai had calmed down by this point. Once he was out, he would make Xia Chenge wish she were dead and experience the taste of being kicked out of a car!
