Chapter 9: Venting Anger for You 1
Haicheng has been basically developed, only the old West District has not been planned. It has always been known for its dirtiness and disorder, and cases like robbery and extortion frequently occur.
Xia Chenge was quickly targeted!
Walking to a place where the streetlights were broken, a hooligan suddenly rushed in front of Xia Chenge, grinning maliciously, “Hey girl, why are you walking so fast? How about playing with us?”

Ling Hanmu? What is he doing here?
“Who are you?” the leading hooligan shouted, steadying himself.

“I just happened to be passing by! Little brother, it’s dangerous for girls to go out at night. Why didn’t you call me to keep you company?” Ling Hanmu looked at her, as if it were just a chance encounter.

“I don’t have a mobile phone,” Xia Chenge replied calmly.
Ling Hanmu was stunned for a moment, then sighed, “That’s true, your life in the Xia family isn’t easy. Let’s go!”
After speaking, Ling Hanmu pushed Xia Chenge towards where he had parked his car, and without any explanation, put her in the passenger seat, even fastening her seatbelt thoughtfully.
Throughout the entire process, Ling Hanmu’s gaze never fell on Xia Chenge’s box.
Although Xia Chenge suspected Ling Hanmu of driving without a license, she had to admit that Ling Hanmu’s driving skills were indeed impressive. However, the direction the car was heading was not towards the Xia family’s home.
“Where are you taking me?” Xia Chenge asked, turning her head to look at him.
Ling Hanmu smiled without speaking. Before long, the car stopped at a large shopping mall in Haicheng.
“Wait for me here for a moment, I’m going to park,” Ling Hanmu said.
Xia Chenge got out of the car with the box, silently asking no questions.
Ling Hanmu raised a smile that was as refreshing as a spring breeze.
That smile made Xia Chenge’s heart flutter: this guy’s smile was quite devastating.
Xia Chenge did not wait for Ling Hanmu at the spot but walked into the mall alone.
As soon as she passed the counters, she was met with disdainful glances from the sales assistants. Some even waved her away directly, “Go away, go away, don’t come too close. Can you afford to pay if you break these items?”
“Xia Chenge, what are you doing here?” Just then, Xu Jingyun’s sharp voice rang out, and she immediately rushed in front of Xia Chenge, her face full of anger.
As if her appearance was a great humiliation to Xu Jingyun, Xu Jingyun glared at her fiercely, “Why did you run out to embarrass yourself? Aren’t you disgusted enough already?”
This woman hasn’t learned her lesson! Xia Chenge lowered her gaze.
“Get out of here immediately!” Xu Jingyun reached out to push Xia Chenge.
Xia Chenge let out a cold laugh. Suddenly, her arm was grabbed, and she was pulled into a warm embrace.
Ling Hanmu’s mocking voice sounded from above her head, “Where did this vicious dog come from, daring to bark wildly on this Young Master’s territory?”
“Ling, Young Master Ling!” Xu Jingyun’s face changed drastically when she recognized the person.
“Young Master Ling!” A chorus of respectful voices echoed through the first floor of the mall.
Xia Chenge was forced to lean into Ling Hanmu’s embrace, enduring the envious gazes of the girls present.
“You still recognize this Young Master?” Ling Hanmu stared at Xu Jingyun with a half-smile, “This Young Master thought everyone in Haicheng had forgotten about him?”
“No, no, Young Master Ling, you’ve misunderstood. My, my cousin’s mental state isn’t very good. I, I was just worried she would cause trouble at Young Master Ling’s place,” Xu Jingyun explained, trembling, unable to understand why Ling Hanmu was holding Xia Chenge.
Ling Hanmu was notoriously arrogant and overbearing in Haicheng, and never got close to anyone.
