Chapter 64: His Strangeness
“Why?” Yin Lingyan asked unwillingly. Why did he have the right to restrict her freedom? Why should she listen to him? Didn’t he ignore her?
Yin Lingyan’s words were somewhat petulant. For some reason, she just felt uncomfortable.
“If you don’t want what happened last time to happen again, you’d best not go out alone.” Han Wuyu’s tone hardened when he heard her words, and his speech became quite sharp.
Yin Lingyan snorted coldly, “I’ll go out if I want to, it has nothing to do with you.”
She really said this out of petulance, her heart aching slightly, a suffocating feeling spreading through her entire body.
Han Wuyu didn’t speak this time, he just remained silent. Even after school ended, he didn’t say anything else.
Yin Lingyan pulled Yin Lingchen and walked out, secretly glancing at Han Wuyu before leaving.
“Lingyan, what’s wrong?” Yin Lingchen asked worriedly as they walked, noticing Yin Lingyan was distracted.
“It’s nothing. Brother, I want to drink nai pao.” Yin Lingyan saw the milk tea shop across the street. There were few people here, so she wanted to wait for Yin Lingchen to buy it for her while she waited here.
As expected, Yin Lingchen thoughtfully walked over to buy the milk tea. “Wait for me here.”
Yin Lingyan nodded. “Okay.”
Her brother’s back gradually disappeared among the many vehicles. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck, and she lost consciousness. As she fainted, she vaguely saw the people who had kidnapped her last time.
There were very few people here. Zhang Xingqing glanced around, pretending to help Yin Lingyan into a car. Han Wuyu saw the scene of her getting into the car.
“Damn it, I’m still too late.” Han Wuyu had been following her since school ended. He thought Zhang Xingqing wouldn’t be so bold here, but he hadn’t expected to be so careless.
“Taxi.” Since he hadn’t driven out, Han Wuyu could only call a taxi. Fortunately, he was lucky and quickly hailed one.
As soon as he got in, before the taxi driver could speak, he anxiously said, “Follow that black car ahead. Name your price.”
Hearing that there was money to be made, who wouldn’t be tempted? The driver immediately sped up to follow the black car. However, they encountered red lights midway. Han Wuyu ignored it and shouted, “Keep going, I’ll take responsibility for any consequences.”
He wasn’t just being arrogant when he said this; he truly had the capability. The driver saw that this was no ordinary person and boldly sped forward.
“Here’s my telephone number. If the police look for you, call me.” Han Wuyu thought that after he got out of the car, he would definitely leave the taxi. He had already been captured by cameras, and as a moral person, he should protect the driver. After all, it was because of him.
The driver smiled and took the number, continuing to drive his car. However, he occasionally glanced at Han Wuyu’s tense face in the rearview mirror. The situation was as if someone in that car was in danger, and he was sweating with worry.
Seeing this, the driver wisely sped up. He looked at the road ahead, a bead of cold sweat appearing on his forehead. “Sir, the road ahead is a mountain path. We don’t dare to go up there.”
No matter how much money there was, what use was money without one’s life? Han Wuyu glanced at the rugged mountain path and angrily slammed his fist on the stool.
He thought for a moment, then took out a check from his clothes pocket. “Here’s 500,000. Lend me your car. Call me later, preferably tomorrow.”
The driver looked at the money, his whole body feeling unwell. Although he loved money, his heart was not bad. “This road is very bad. If you’re not careful…”
Before he could finish, Han Wuyu cut him off. “It’s fine, take it. I have an urgent matter, and lives are at stake. Hurry.”
