Chapter 205: I Didn’t Expect You to Actually Be His Younger Sister!
…
The God of Wealth was dozing on the floor, his eyelids drooping, about to close when a scream from the quiet bedroom jolted him awake.
He looked around, as if nothing had happened.
Only the rapid breathing and delicate whimpers of the masters on the bed could be heard.
The God of Wealth’s upright posture relaxed lazily, and as he squatted on the carpet and fell asleep again, a scream echoed through the space once more.
He immediately stood up alertly, walked around the foot of the bed, and found nothing unusual apart from the sound of water.
As the God of Wealth passed by the bedside, Lian Li lifted her leg and placed it on Jin Shi Yue’s waist, pressing down on his back with her foot.
“You did that on purpose!”
Jin Shi Yue smiled and lowered his head to kiss her, “Don’t you like excitement?”
“I don’t!”
“Is that so?” Jin Shi Yue leaned down, gently biting her earlobe, his hot breath scattering on her sensitive skin, “If you don’t like it, why are you holding onto me so tightly?”
“……”
Lian Li felt that such things were normal and nothing to be shy about, but he kept making suggestive remarks, completely stepping into her blind spot of knowledge.
The storm subsided.
Lian Li clung to Jin Shi Yue’s back, trembling all over. His skin temperature was extremely high, and sweat was light.
Her afterglow was lingering, her cheeks and collarbones stained with the blush of roses. Jin Shi Yue gazed at her deeply and slowly withdrew.
After the ultimate pleasure, other sensations dulled. Lian Li’s head was hazy. Jin Shi Yue held her completely in his arms and gave her a lingering kiss afterward.
Lian Li nestled in his solid chest, not wanting to move a single finger.
She was lost in thought for a while before slowly closing her eyes to rest.
A night of tossing and turning ended with a night of dreamless, good sleep.
The next morning, light streamed through the gaps in the thick curtains into the room, illuminating the fine dust motes floating in the air.
Lian Li woke up feeling refreshed. Jin Shi Yue was no longer by her side. She reached out to the bedsheet; it was still warm, meaning he had likely just gotten up.
Lian Li, with sleepy eyes, looked around the bedroom but didn’t see Jin Shi Yue.
She scratched her hair, got out of bed, and went to wash up.
Just as she put on her shoes, Xue Shufan’s call came.
Lian Li, with a stray tuft of hair sticking up, walked towards the bathroom while answering the phone.
“Lili!” Xue Shufan’s cheerful voice came through.
Lian Li hummed, “Good morning.”
“Why is your voice so hoarse? Didn’t you sleep well last night?” Xue Shufan asked.
“No, I slept very well.” Lian Li recalled last night, cleared her throat, “Maybe I’m just not used to the climate in Shanghai yet.”
Yesterday in the car, Xue Shufan had messaged Lian Li to ask her out for a meal. Lian Li had briefly told Xue Shufan about finding her mother.
“That’s quite surprising. That kid Zhong Yang calls you Li Mei all the time, I never thought you were actually his sister, like, related by blood!” Xue Shufan sounded surprised.
Ji Tan’s mother was a member of the Zhong family… Although separated by several generations, Lian Li and Zhong Yang were indeed related by blood.
“I didn’t expect it either.” Lian Li stood in front of the mirror, put the call on speaker, placed the phone on the washbasin, and reached for her toothbrush and toothpaste.
“What are your plans now? Are you staying in Shanghai?”
Lian Li squeezed toothpaste onto her brush, looked up at her reflection in the mirror, and paused, “No.”
“Finding her doesn’t change my original plan.”
Regardless of the reason, Ji Tan had known about Lian Li’s existence for a long time but didn’t acknowledge her, which, to some extent, proved she wasn’t desperate for a daughter.
Lian Li wouldn’t go out of her way to beg her mother for recognition.
Xue Shufan on the other end of the line sighed, “Then when are you returning to Beijing?”
Lian Li put down the toothpaste and was about to answer when a weight suddenly settled on her shoulder. A strong, powerful arm wrapped around her waist from behind, pressing her against the man’s chest.
“Stay for two more days?” Jin Shi Yue’s lazy voice sounded in her ear.
A gasp came from Xue Shufan’s end of the phone.
Almost forgot that Junior Sister has a man now.
Xue Shufan, being considerate, immediately hung up.
Lian Li was still thinking of a reply, but when she looked again, she saw that the call had ended.
She decided to call her Senior Sister back later and didn’t turn off her phone.
Lian Li turned her head to look at Jin Shi Yue’s head resting on her shoulder and asked softly, “Is there anything else?”
“Mhm,” Jin Shi Yue’s voice was very lazy.
He slightly lifted his eyelids and looked at Lian Li in the mirror, her mouth full of foam.
Their eyes met in the mirror. Lian Li noticed that the color of his ears was a bit unusual, a faint, light red.
She couldn’t help but be taken aback.
Lian Li tilted her head, her gaze fixed on his ears. Without a close look, one wouldn’t notice the blush. Her gaze shifted, and meeting his eyes, she said, “Your… ears are a little red.”
She thought Jin Shi Yue would deny it, but instead, he tightened his embrace around her waist from behind, his tone lazy and unapologetic.
“I don’t have as much experience as you, so it’s normal to be shy.”
“……” Lian Li didn’t believe him.
However, thinking about it carefully, she had never paid attention to whether his ears turned red during their encounters. She always felt he was very skilled and wouldn’t blush or get flustered.
“Have you never had feelings for other girls before?” Lian Li asked vaguely while brushing her teeth.
“You appeared too late,” Jin Shi Yue rested his chin on her shoulder, “If you had appeared earlier, I might have.”
Lian Li’s eyelashes fluttered, and she looked at him thoughtfully, “How much earlier?”
“Want to have a puppy love with me?” Jin Shi Yue asked her casually, dragging out the last syllable.
“No,” Lian Li said decisively.
Jin Shi Yue laughed, “Then at eighteen.”
“You were eighteen, and I was only twelve or thirteen,” Lian Li gave him a sidelong glance.
“Lili, you must have grown up on cuteness,” Jin Shi Yue couldn’t help but pinch her cheek, “You’re eighteen.”
Lian Li felt that she was only talking nonsense with Jin Shi Yue in the early morning because her mind wasn’t clear.
She raised her elbow and nudged Jin Shi Yue backward, “I need to brush my teeth, you go out first.”
Jin Shi Yue looked at her foamy mouth, smiled slowly, released her waist, ruffled her hair, and then left the bathroom.
A few strands of hair sticking up on Lian Li’s head swayed, as if bidding him a temporary farewell.
After washing up, Lian Li changed her clothes and walked from her room to the living room. Jin Shi Yue was sitting on the sofa, on the phone, his long legs casually resting on the coffee table, his posture relaxed and lazy.
Lian Li thought of the scene in the bathroom just now, a sly glint in her eyes. She walked over, stood behind the sofa, leaned her head forward, and playfully kissed Jin Shi Yue’s Adam’s apple.
His Adam’s apple bobbed, and he lifted his eyelids to look at her; he was still on the phone.
Lian Li’s attempt at being mischievous failed, and she was unusually displeased. She stood up straight, walked around to the sofa, which was a hundred meters away, and sat down, sulking in silence.
After Jin Shi Yue hung up the phone, he looked over and saw his girlfriend pulling the hat of her clothes over her head, like a precious mushroom.
The sofa was wide, and she sat cross-legged on it, looking very small.
Jin Shi Yue glanced at her, walked over nonchalantly, took off his wristwatch and placed it on the sofa, pulled down Lian Li’s hat, and bent down to kiss her.
Lian Li opened her clear, bright apricot eyes and met his gaze for a moment. She took his hand and motioned for him to sit beside her.
Jin Shi Yue sat down gracefully.
Lian Li’s eyes flickered, and after observing him for a moment, she asked, “Are you going to Taipei with me?”
