Qing Tian stayed in Ji Xiangyu’s arms, crying. To be honest, being held by Ji Xiangyu like this felt wonderful, but the circumstances were not good. Why did both kisses carry such mixed feelings of love and hate?
She thought a lot in his arms. While being enveloped by Ji Xiangyu’s breath felt sad, it was more happiness!
However, thinking about Ji Xiangyu’s purpose for kissing her made her angry!
Qing Tian finally stopped crying. Instead, she pushed Ji Xiangyu away, reached out, and slapped him. Then, she said with grievance, “Despicable, taking advantage! Do you think this will help you win against Xia Yang?”
Ji Xiangyu was a bit confused by Qing Tian’s words. What did “win against Xia Yang” mean? He suddenly realized that Qing Tian misunderstood his kiss as a forceful one! And it was because he wanted to win against Xia Yang. Fine, he admitted he had a slightly childish thought because of Xia Yang, but the kiss was entirely because of what his heart wanted to do!
Qing Tian, furious, wanted to leave. This was too much. What did he take her for?
Ji Xiangyu pulled Qing Tian back into his embrace and said with a smile, “Silly girl, why would I joke with you? How could you not understand my obvious hints? Is my way of expressing myself too clumsy, or is your comprehension too poor?”
Qing Tian felt a bit awkward from the sudden confession. But Ji Xiangyu wasn’t confessing; he was clearly mocking her. She decided not to forgive Ji Xiangyu, absolutely not!
Ji Xiangyu held Qing Tian’s shoulders, his gaze firmer than ever. He looked at Qing Tian and said, “I know it’s strange to say this suddenly, but I wanted to talk about this after the change of leadership election. However, if I don’t say it now, I might not have another chance later. Perhaps you’ve also felt my special attention towards you. Don’t doubt your feelings; I truly like you. I thought I could remain indifferent, but when I saw you and Xia Yang being so intimate… I knew that if I delayed saying some things, I might regret it!”
Ji Xiangyu knew he was rambling now, but he was just eager to clearly express his intentions to Qing Tian!
Qing Tian, taken aback by the sudden confession, stared blankly at Ji Xiangyu, her mouth open as if to say something, but the words wouldn’t come out. She stammered, “I… I…”
Ji Xiangyu immediately sealed her lips, burying the words she couldn’t speak deep in her heart!
This time, Ji Xiangyu was much gentler, a mere taste and then he stopped!
Ji Xiangyu looked deeply and tenderly into Qing Tian’s eyes. “If the election is successful, can you promise to be my girlfriend?”
Qing Tian was shocked from head to toe. What was Ji Xiangyu saying? Be his girlfriend? Had she misheard? Was she hallucinating?
This question, “Be my girlfriend,” she had fantasized about countless times in her dreams. Now that it had become a reality, it gave her a sense of unbelievable illusion!
Qing Tian’s eyes widened as she looked at Ji Xiangyu, and Ji Xiangyu looked back at her.
Suddenly, a lot of things came between them!!!
Qing Tian struggled internally. Should she refuse or accept?
Ji Xiangyu was unsure of Qing Tian’s feelings for him. Most of the time, their relationship had been on-again, off-again; that feeling was truly precarious!
After much thought, Qing Tian finally looked up and said with a smile, “Can I tell you then? I feel like this isn’t right right now?”
Ji Xiangyu pondered Qing Tian’s every word. She needed space. She felt that his confession today was too hasty. He needed to give Qing Tian a proper confession ceremony!
However, he didn’t know that Qing Tian simply needed time to adjust. Everything had come too quickly; she feared it was a dream she couldn’t grasp!
In matters of emotion, men and women think about things in completely different ways!
Ji Xiangyu took a deep breath, gently ruffled Qing Tian’s hair, and said with a smile, “Qing Tian, can you give me a week to prove my sincerity? Give me a chance to pursue you, to be my princess?”
Qing Tian was moved by Ji Xiangyu’s deep affection, but she had reservations. “I’m not ready yet, I…”
Ji Xiangyu heard the hesitation in Qing Tian’s voice and saw her troubled expression. He finally understood that he had indeed been too hasty; some things, when rushed, can be counterproductive!
Ji Xiangyu held Qing Tian’s shoulders again. “I was too hasty! I didn’t consider your feelings. I won’t force you. When you’ve thought it through, give me an answer! I will wait forever, okay?”
Qing Tian frowned, feeling distressed and at a loss. She nodded heavily! But at this moment, her mind was chaotic; she couldn’t sort anything out or think clearly!
Then Qing Tian watched Ji Xiangyu’s back disappear down the silent corridor!
After Ji Xiangyu’s figure vanished from her sight, Qing Tian curled up and silently gazed at the end of the corridor!
