Chapter Sixty-Seven: Causing Trouble
As soon as Qing Tian arrived at the school gate, she was surrounded by several delinquent youths.
Those delinquent youths surrounded her, laughing and saying, “Oh my, I didn’t expect the girls from First High School to be so good-looking. Come on, smile for this master! This master will reward you handsomely…”
Qing Tian’s face was cold; she had no intention of smiling and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. She reached out to push away someone who was about to approach her.
However, these delinquent youths wouldn’t let her go. Qing Tian’s hand was grabbed by a man with purple hair and eyeliner. Qing Tian felt disgusted; being grabbed by someone who was neither man nor woman was truly revolting.
She was supposed to go to school with Song Shishi today, but since Song Shishi’s entire class was on an outing, she was going to school alone. She didn’t expect to run into these ruffians.
Qing Tian struggled to free her hand from the effeminate man’s grip. As soon as she resisted, the effeminate man held on tighter.
Qing Tian glared and asked, “What exactly do you want?”
Another man, who looked slightly more decent, with wine-red hair and large sunglasses, approached Qing Tian. Through his sunglasses, the corner of his mouth curled up contemptuously as he said, “We don’t want anything. We just think you look good enough for my brothers. Why don’t you play with us for a while!”
Qing Tian let out an indignant cold laugh, “Lunatic, I don’t have time to play with you. Go find someone else to play with!”
After speaking, she took advantage of their lack of preparedness and forcefully broke free from the effeminate man’s grasp. However, after only a few steps, she was grabbed again. Many people were gathered nearby, watching the delinquent youths bully a student from First High School. They were also from First High School but dared not step forward, fearing they would be caught.
The man with sunglasses pointed at the men gathered nearby and said to Qing Tian, “Look, even your classmates are standing by and watching. Do you think you can escape today? Hahahaha…”
The delinquent youths laughed heartily. The effeminate man’s laughter suddenly turned into a pained sound, “Ah…”
Qing Tian looked at the effeminate man and saw Xia Yang fiercely prying the effeminate man’s hand off her. The effeminate man grimaced and cried out in pain. In a few seconds, the effeminate man let go, and Xia Yang immediately pulled Qing Tian to the side.
Xia Yang put his hands in his pockets and looked dismissively at the group of delinquent youths, asking, “What do you want? Don’t you know this is my territory, Xia Yang’s? You dare to lay hands on my person, are you looking for death?”
The man with sunglasses said with exaggerated laughter, “Yo yo yo, you’re Xia Yang? I really can’t tell that you, this brat, are the legendary Xia Yang.”
Xia Yang rolled his eyes at the man with sunglasses, “Good that you know. Now scram!”
The man with sunglasses proudly walked to within a meter of Xia Yang, looking smug and said, “This master brought my brothers here specifically to find you… Xia Yang!”
As he said Xia Yang’s name, he forcefully poked Xia Yang’s chest with his index finger.
Xia Yang saw that this man was intentionally looking for trouble. He grabbed the collar of the man with sunglasses and said fiercely, “If you want to fight, at least pick a place. You’re not welcome here!”
Huzi and the others, having heard the news from someone, also came running. Qing Tian was initially worried that Xia Yang would be at a disadvantage alone, but now that his brothers were here, she felt much more at ease. After all, there were more of them!
Seeing that Xia Yang’s brothers had arrived, the man with sunglasses became even more excited and said, “Yo, I like this kind of setup. Let this master see how capable you kids are!”
Xia Yang put his arm around his brothers who were about to charge forward and retorted, “My capabilities don’t need your approval. If you don’t want trouble, get lost!”
The man with sunglasses snorted coldly, “You’ve got a big mouth. Since you’ve said so, how can we not show off our skills? How can we leave empty-handed? You hurt my people last time, and I’m here to settle the score today. What, you want to escape after what you did?”
Xia Yang suppressed his emotions and turned away, saying, “This master doesn’t have time for your nonsense!”
However, he hadn’t walked a few steps before someone from the other side tripped him, nearly injuring Xia Yang. Xia Yang dodged nimbly.
Huzi and a few others, without a second thought, plunged into the crowd and started fighting.
The school gate immediately descended into chaos. Xia Yang’s suppressed anger also erupted. He delivered a spinning kick to the man with sunglasses, knocking him to the ground. The kick was incredibly fierce, and the man with sunglasses couldn’t straighten his back after falling.
Screams, panic, all sounds mixed together. The students behind them stopped watching the spectacle and retreated like a tide.
Qing Tian stood there calmly, watching Xia Yang and the group engage in a desperate brawl. She felt a pang in her heart, wondering what kind of life Xia Yang had been living all these years.
Qing Tian cried out in her heart: Wu Feng, please save Xia Yang! But ever since that last time, Wu Feng had seemed to disappear. No wonder no one had ever seen Wu Feng’s true face; meeting him once was harder than climbing to heaven.
Someone must have pulled out a knife. Xia Yang, caught off guard, was cut. Seeing the blood flowing from his arm, Xia Yang was like an enraged lion, taking down several people in no time.
Just as everyone thought someone was going to die, someone called the police. By the time the police car stopped, Xia Yang had already knocked everyone down.
The police looked at the students causing trouble and said with a headache, “You guys don’t study properly and cause trouble here, thinking you’re so tough, huh?”
Huzi recognized this police officer as his father’s brother, but he pretended not to know him and protested, “Uncle, these people aren’t students. They’re hooligans who came to our school to cause trouble and even injured our students.”
He then pointed to Xia Yang’s bleeding arm. But no matter what, the ones causing trouble were now injured and lying on the ground, so the police would have to go through the motions.
The police coughed and asked the surrounding students, “Did you all see them causing trouble?”
A few students nodded timidly, afraid of retaliation later.
The police nodded and said, “Alright, everyone disperse. We’ll take everyone back to record statements!”
As Xia Yang and his group were being taken away, Qing Tian stepped forward and said, “Police Uncle, I saw them causing trouble with my own eyes!”
Xia Yang immediately covered for her, “She’s innocent!”
Police Uncle said impatiently, “Take everyone back to record statements!”
As the car drove away, Ji Xiangyu happened to arrive. He didn’t know what had happened. Seeing Qing Tian and Xia Yang being taken away together, he immediately pushed Song Shishi aside, hailed a taxi, and followed them.
Qin Hailan was also gathered at the entrance. The person who called the police was indeed Qin Hailan. Hailu asked, “Sister Lan, why did you do this? Aren’t you harming Xia Yang?”
Qin Hailan sneered, “I want that woman, Qing Tian, to know that as long as she’s with Xia Yang, Xia Yang will never have a moment of peace!”
Hailu looked at the fierce-looking Qin Hailan and knew that Qin Hailan was truly going to retaliate this time.
Just yesterday, when Xia Yang and Qing Tian were laughing intimately at a restaurant, Qin Hailan was standing outside the glass window watching the scene.
She vowed to destroy Qing Tian! No matter the cost!
