If I Were Your Obedient Big Cloth Bear

Chapter 194: If I Were Your Obedient Big Cloth Bear

Ye Chuxiao poured Lin Chusheng a glass of warm water.

Lin Chusheng gulped it down in one go.

Brother Chusheng didn’t want to go to the hospital, but he should at least take medicine, right? Ye Chuxiao asked, “Brother Chusheng, do you have any fever reducers here?”

“No,” Lin Chusheng shook his head weakly.

Seeing the messy state of the Hall, Ye Chuxiao guessed that Brother Chusheng had been in a chaotic state these past few days. She said, “I’ll cook some congee first.”

Ye Chuxiao went to check the refrigerator. Inside, there were only two boxes of sour milk that Jie’er liked, which were still there abruptly. Other than that, it was empty, not even an egg.

It seemed she could only cook plain congee. Ye Chuxiao went to the Kitchen to look. The cookware was complete, and there was rice. However, a bag of premium Thai fragrant rice was placed in the cupboard, unopened.

She thought Brother Chusheng and Jie’er had planned to enjoy their little life together, and wanted to experience the mood and joy of cooking themselves, but everything ended abruptly before it even began.

Ye Chuxiao rinsed the rice and put it in the electric clay pot to cook. She returned to the Living Room and said, “Brother Chusheng, I’m going out to buy you some medicine. The congee should be ready by the time I get back.”

“It’s still raining outside,” Lin Chusheng said in a hoarse voice, “Xiaoxiao, don’t go.”

He’s this sick, how can I not go buy medicine?

Ye Chuxiao touched Lin Chusheng’s forehead and said sternly, “Lie down obediently. I’ll be back soon.”

“Hmph!” Lin Chusheng sighed. When did it become your turn to tell me to lie down obediently, little girl?

Ye Chuxiao grabbed her umbrella and opened the door to leave.

Lin Chusheng, who was leaning on the Sofa, turned his head and watched Ye Chuxiao’s figure until she was gone.

The frown on his face, caused by discomfort, eased slightly. She said she would be back soon.

When Ye Chuxiao returned, Lin Chusheng was dozing off, leaning against the Sofa Armrest. Hearing the noise at the door, he forced himself to perk up.

“Xiaoxiao…” Lin Chusheng turned his head and saw the delicate figure now seeming to carry the wind and rain, shivering slightly. He couldn’t help but feel a pang of heartache.

Lin Chusheng stood up, wanting to walk towards Ye Chuxiao. However, he hadn’t eaten anything all day, his emotions had plummeted to the bottom, and he was groggy from drinking. As soon as he stood up, he felt dizzy.

“Brother Chusheng!” Ye Chuxiao immediately ran over and held Lin Chusheng’s arm.

Lin Chusheng swayed precariously and sank back onto the Sofa.

“I’m sorry!” Lin Chusheng felt apologetic that he was like this now, causing Xiaoxiao trouble.

“Brother Chusheng!” Ye Chuxiao sensed Lin Chusheng’s Sadness. She said in a stern voice, playfully, “Didn’t I tell you to lie down obediently? Why are you still moving around!”

Lin Chusheng leaned back against the Sofa Armrest, slumped, and looked at Ye Chuxiao’s cute appearance, smiling faintly with resignation, “Okay, I’ll be good and wait for Xiaoxiao to Serve me.”

“Okay!” Ye Chuxiao ruffled Lin Chusheng’s hair, as if she were about to devour him, “You’re my big toy for Playing House now. Just wait obediently for me to bring you congee to feed you!”

On this stormy night, Lin Chusheng seemed to see the sunny Small Garden of the past, like a cute little girl, a little dumpling, holding a plastic toy bowl and feeding a teddy bear.

Now a handsome and distinguished man, his heart felt as if something was Missing, causing a dull ache.

If I were willing to be that obedient little bear, Xiaoxiao, can we go back to the time before?
