Chapter 176: Qing Xiao on the Magic Continent
Qing Xiao and Sai Yue walked ahead in silence, with tall Hellhounds guarding the carriage.
“Where’s Ka Er? Don’t tell me…”
Qing Xiao didn’t think Sai Yue had secretly found a new Master. The mastermind hadn’t even appeared yet, yet they could make Hellhounds, feared by all Wizards, obedient. This was no ordinary feat.
And they attacked with roses.
Sai Yue glanced at the carriage and nodded: “Don’t you realize this carriage is ours?”
Qing Xiao was stunned. Did that mean…
He looked at the carriage and glared at Sai Yue: “Then why didn’t you say so earlier? Now I’m in the same boat as you!”
Sai Yue couldn’t help but roll her eyes: “I didn’t tell you to stay, did I? You’re the one with issues for insisting on staying, blaming me! Oh, right, how many Black Wizards around here have accepted Wu Qi’s orders?”
“I don’t know, quite a lot, I guess. After all, he pays a lot of Crystal Coins. What, is there a problem?”
Sai Yue’s beautiful face broke into a wicked smile: “I just want to see how many more idiots will fall for it.”
Qing Xiao looked at Sai Yue with lingering fear: “This, this, inside here, it couldn’t be…”
“Mhm~”
Seeing Sai Yue’s bright face smiling sinisterly, Qing Xiao shivered with revulsion. He gave a thumbs-up as he spoke: “You’re really…”
Before he could finish, he suddenly thought of something and changed his tune: “If they don’t come to us, we can go to them! I bet the Master needs some servants or Crystal Coins?”
Sai Yue’s eyes suddenly sparkled as she looked at him, stroking her slender fingernails: “I think that’s a good idea.”
“Then, shall we?”
“Let’s!”
As they walked out of the Dark Weasel Forest, they didn’t forget to release their Magic Beasts to attract others.
Tu You had originally wanted to go back and stay with Sang Chu, but she couldn’t rest assured about these two troublemakers, so she flew directly to Qing Xiao’s shoulder: “We need to hurry and leave the Dark Weasel Forest, so if we’re going to cause trouble, it has to be without delaying us!”
Qing Xiao patted his chest with a laugh: “Boss, don’t worry, I’m reliable!”
Tu You rolled her eyes at him. If he were truly reliable, he wouldn’t have charged in alone!
However, she didn’t say anything else. After all, Sang Jing Wen and the others were unreliable, and Sang Chu was still healing. Qing Xiao’s thought process was aligned with Sang Chu’s; she was indeed in great need of fighters, especially powerful ones!
“Take it easy. A Chu is in seclusion for cultivation. If she finds out you’ve caused trouble when she comes out, then, hehe…”
Qing Xiao was startled by Tu You’s words. He was very fond of his life. Even the Hellhounds obeyed them obediently, so he didn’t dare to mess around.
“Boss, don’t worry, I will absolutely be the Master’s most loyal servant!”
Sai Yue felt like she couldn’t even watch him. She walked in silence when suddenly, she heard rustling sounds ahead. Qing Xiao’s eyes narrowed, and the corners of his mouth curved up slightly: “You guys wait here. I’ll go see who has the audacity to ambush me!”
Sai Yue grabbed him: “Are you stupid? The Master wants foolproof! It doesn’t matter if you die, but don’t delay the Master’s business!”
Tu You: “That’s right, doggy. One comes, go to the front and clear out the ambushers. Don’t kill the Wizards, the rest you can eat as you please.”
‘Roar~~’
One of them on the left rushed out first. Before long, heart-wrenching screams echoed from the forest. Qing Xiao, with a look of disappointment, walked forward with Tu You.
They saw dozens of Wizards in the forest pinned down by Hellhounds, unable to move.
Qing Xiao looked at their pathetic state and couldn’t help but wonder if the Master intended to recruit all the Black Wizards!
Tu You flew over with satisfaction. Unfortunately, she didn’t have many Magic Cards left, only about ten: “Hey, Qing Xiao, do you have any blank Magic Cards?”
Qing Xiao shook his head helplessly: “Black Wizards can’t be bought at regular shops. Magic Cards in the underground trading market are ridiculously expensive. I, I can’t afford them.”
“Alright then, I’ll just take five powerful ones. You and your brothers can split the rest.”
“No, no, no, I, I, I have cards! I have cards! Don’t eat me, I’m willing to give you all my cards!”
The Black Wizard at the bottom of the pile said hurriedly, afraid that if he spoke a second too late, he would be eaten by the Hellhound.
Tu You extended her short, stubby hand: “Give me the cards.”
“You, you, you have to promise me you won’t let it eat me!”
“That depends on whether you’re giving me High-level cards. If you trick me into giving me low-level cards that can’t be used to Contract Wizards, then I’ll be at a huge loss.”
The Black Wizard fell silent, lowering his head without speaking. The Hellhound, afraid that Tu You would stop it from eating people later, swallowed them all in one gulp!
Tu You: “No, what are you doing!”
“Eat, eat, eat, all you know is to eat. Even if the cards in his hand aren’t High-level, they’re still usable. Why are you in such a hurry? Do I lack food for you to eat!”
‘Roar—’
The Hellhound was suddenly scolded. It was stunned for a moment, then roared furiously at Tu You. A powerful Magic Power hurricane emanated from its mouth, shaking the trees and the mountain body.
Qing Xiao was directly blown away by the hurricane, rolling several times before managing to grab onto a tree. He was completely disoriented, like a kite in the wind.
Tu You narrowed her eyes in displeasure, raised her Long Whip, and instantly lashed it across the Hellhound’s Spine.
“Aowuu…”
The Hellhound flinched in pain, its eyes filled with terror as it looked at Tu You. It transformed into human form, with white hair trailing to the ground, and the copper bells at its waist jingled, making the Hellhound even more terrified.
It spun around in fear, its tall body shrinking into a ball.
Tu You: “You don’t know what’s good for you. If you don’t listen next time, I’ll beat you until your soul scatters and you can’t even go to Hell!”
The Hellhound nodded quickly, its fearful eyes not daring to meet Tu You’s. Seeing that he had put away his Long Whip, it slowly got up from the ground and crawled in front of him, prostrating itself.
Tu You’s heart ached with a sharp pain. No one noticed her slightly weak body. She quickly transformed back into a rabbit and called out to Qing Xiao: “Let’s go back.”
The Hellhound carried Tu You back to the carriage and watched him disappear.
Sai Yue looked at the whip marks on the Hellhound’s Spine in horror: “Were the people who ambushed us so powerful? They could actually injure a Hellhound?”
It glared fiercely at Sai Yue and returned to its position, like a devout guard.
Sai Yue looked at the dirty Qing Xiao: “What’s wrong with you now? No, what was that thing in front?”
“Don’t ask. In short, let’s do our jobs properly. Our Boss is not simple.”
“Were its injuries inflicted by that Rabbit?”
As soon as Sai Yue spoke, she drew another disgusted look from the Hellhound. She trembled inwardly. Seeing that it was still standing in place, she quietly walked over to Qing Xiao: “Is that true?”
“Yes, it went crazy earlier and ate a few people. The Boss got angry and took out a strange Long Whip. One lash and the Hellhound was subdued. Even something that the Hellhound fears, you and I are no match for. You’d better not act on what you’re thinking and just stay put.”
Having her intentions to scheme against Sang Chu exposed, Sai Yue chuckled awkwardly: “I, I wasn’t thinking of anything!”
“I hope not.”
