Chapter 6: You Are Niu Huanxi?
For example, listening to music, reading novels, watching film and television dramas, you will be affected by lyrics, melodies, plots, etc., which will influence your mood.
Causing you to become excited, angry, sad, or joyful and moved.
Following this component of empathy to produce the emotions the author wants you to experience.
You are pulled and moved by external energy, which is the best manifestation of the mind changing with circumstances and being driven by external things.
However, cultivators block all external influences and seek inward, meaning all actions are determined by the inner heart.
Not feeling pain when hurt, not feeling sad when suffering, not feeling joy when happy. Or rather, you can arrange for yourself whatever kind of emotion you desire.
It doesn’t matter what you hear, see, or think. You will change the result by changing your thoughts.
The so-called cultivation is actually about cultivating the true self, also called the True Self. That is to say, the self that completely controls one’s own mind.
If you can completely control your thoughts, you will see the so-called laws of karma and be able to completely grasp your own destiny.
Then you will know what cause you plant today and what fruit you will bear tomorrow.
This pattern is very common in life, but many people do not observe it carefully.
If you wish to cultivate, remember these three points: innocence, purity, and childlike innocence; they are essential.
These three points are actually innate things. Because these three points stem from instinct, which is something brought by nature and not affected by acquired experiences.
No matter how much suffering or pain a person experiences, if these three points still exist within them, then they are destined for immortal fate.
People, if they want to achieve extraordinary success, must have their own unique characteristics, or labels, or points that make them stand out, which is what I call the movement of the Tao is through reversal. It means having uncommon characteristics.
For example, you wear a kashaya and belch, wear a Daoist robe and ramble nonsense, or do a live broadcast and yawn and fart and so on.
Is that normal? It’s not normal, right? Heh, but in some people’s eyes, this is called mysterious and extraordinary, having abilities, special powers, immortals, gods, and even farts. They believe, watch, and like it, and buy whatever they sell because it’s magical, has magical power, buying a stone makes you awesome, and buying wood makes you God.
Why are you doing this? Because whether it’s stone or wood, they all say it’s imbued with magical power.
It can help you improve your education and even help you get married.
Fun, right?
Why do some people really feel their luck has improved? While others feel it’s useless?
This is the same principle as believing in something.
But some people say they believe very much, but why doesn’t it work?
Because this is probability! Out of a thousand people, some will have good luck during a specific period, and some will just be average, with no change.
If you ask why, they might tell you that your heart is not sincere, or give other reasons.
They raise another problem to shift the focus away from the issue of magic tools not working, and then you continue to believe.
When you are finally deceived to the point of not believing anymore, then it’s over.
There are also some people who, under the guise of having immortal fate, take your money, set up a shrine for you, and give you a few books. Then they tell you to cultivate intensely on your own.
Heh, to put it bluntly, it’s forcing you to imagine things on your own. After you think about this for a long time, you will naturally become a little different from ordinary people.
If you think about one thing all day, after a while, you will even dream about it. This is a very simple principle.
It is the power of belief and the law of universal attraction.
However, some people end up not even becoming spirit mediums despite their efforts, and the person who taught you will tell you that your time hasn’t come yet.
What do you mean “not yet”? Why set up a shrine if your time hasn’t come? Why do your lower back and buttocks hurt, and sometimes you fart in your sleep?
In fact, they are just too lazy to continue.
Then some people say they are not lazy, so why do they also have these characteristics?
It’s related to your own behavioral patterns and an imbalance of internal energy, it’s that simple.
Look at the spirit mediums all over the streets who haven’t even fully grown up, spreading from outside the pass to all over the country.
What kind of people are commonly spirit mediums?
Lazy people at home, housewives, receptionists at beauty salons, technicians at massage parlors, and all sorts of peculiar individuals.
In fact, it’s all in people’s minds causing trouble, their minds are unsettled and restless, disrupting the body’s energy, which then causes various reactions. Doctors can’t find anything, so they tell you that you have immortal fate, someone is messing with you behind your back, and they tell you to spend money to set up a shrine and follow this path.
People who generally say this to you say the exact same thing, because this is a unified trick used in this industry to deceive people. For example, if one person tells you something and you don’t believe it, then several other people tell you, and you will surely believe them. Eventually, one of them will make money from you, depending on who has the right approach.
Of course, they will definitely tell you that this money is not for them, but for setting up the shrine, etc., etc., and they are actually instilling other beliefs in you, making you willingly give them money and then thank them.
Some friends might ask, are there any real spirit medium disciples?
There certainly are, but they are very rare, and real spirit medium disciples are more like inheritors of a faith.
But there really aren’t many left, because they really don’t make any money.
True cultivation in cultivating Buddhism to attain enlightenment is similar; they do not seek wealth by helping people, nor do they create things for gods, immortals, or Buddhas.
In the end, they spend it all themselves, right? Do you even need to think about this?
They tell you things like buying incense, buying offerings, and so on, and that they also need to eat.
You think that’s right, don’t you? What’s the reality? What god needs your mortal objects? A bunch of paper folded into gold? A pile of incense lit and stuck in the ground becomes incense offerings?
Are you crazy or are the gods crazy?
If they were true gods, they could just draw a hundred wealth-attracting talismans, or perhaps employ some five ghosts carrying wealth, and money would come to them, wouldn’t it? Why ask people for it?
To put it bluntly, isn’t this just a transaction?
You buy, they sell, understand?
Would a true Great Cultivator care about the money in ordinary people’s pockets? Any major boss is a disciple, and the money they support in a year is more than you can earn in a lifetime, so why would they care about your measly contribution?
The more capable the cultivator, the less they care about anything in the world, including money, beauty, fame, and power.
Because all of these belong to desire, and cultivators need to break through desires. Only by breaking through desires can they avoid being tainted by karma.
Even if they touch upon someone else’s karma, they will not suffer backlash.
Also, the true meaning of incense offerings is continuation, or legacy, not just burning incense and lighting a fire.
And merit is not about taking money to solve problems. What kind of merit is taking money to solve problems? That’s called a transaction!
Merit means helping people without expecting anything in return, helping people is just for the sake of helping, without a single requirement or expectation. That is called merit.
With such great virtue, naturally, someone will support you. If everything is clearly priced to solve problems, why would you bother? Wouldn’t it be better to just burn it for the gods? What kind of rough draft are you talking about?
What, are you a bull’s joy? Are you more capable than a god?
