Chapter 92: Miraculous Reverse Aging
Beating doggies on the wasteland is actually a very stress-relieving thing.
No need for fancy moves, nor sufficient precision; all it needs is a bit of strength.
Yun Ce swung the horse spear in a full circle to use it as a stick, sweeping a large swath to the left, a large swath to the right, and anything blocking in the middle would be trampled to death by the red date horse’s hooves.
The doggies seemed extremely loyal to this king, attacking Yun Ce and the red date horse desperately. Some doggies even leaped onto their companions’ bodies to pounce and bite Yun Ce, while others risked charging under the red date horse’s crotch, baring their sharp white teeth to bite at the red date horse’s vitals.
The doggies’ attacks turned into all-around assaults. Yun Ce saw for the first time why the red date horse was called a thunder smoke beast—because it farts, with a muffled thunderous sound, and the fart is gray in color. Those doggies trying to attack its belly vitals would sniff the so-called thunder smoke and collapse on the ground with limp muscles and bones.
Fortunately, these wet farts were heavier than air and wouldn’t rise up; otherwise, seeing such a ferocious fart, Yun Ce would want to flee in panic too.
“Woo woo woo”
The distant doggy king might really be very wise. Seeing Yun Ce and his horse killing the doggies with nowhere to hide or flee, it seemed heartbroken and roared once. The doggies that had been desperately besieging Yun Ce quickly retreated, but not far, lying down nearby as if welcoming their own king.
Yun Ce had thought the doggy king’s body would be large, but he didn’t expect it to be this huge. Just the dog head that had emerged was probably a hundred pounds. When that thing fully climbed up from the slope, the red date horse wanted to carry Yun Ce and run away.
Even Yun Ce, who had seen the pig king, found it hard to judge at this moment which one was stronger upon seeing this dog king.
1 If this dog were the size of an ordinary doggy, its appearance would be fairly ordinary, but this doggy king’s weight was visually estimated at around fifteen hundred pounds.
1 Its fur was very short all over, its tail only half a stump, its muscles bulging everywhere, plus its interlocking dog teeth the size of daggers. Just this appearance alone fully displayed the doggy king’s majesty.
1 Yun Ce jumped down from the red date horse’s back and patted it on the buttocks. The red date horse neighed and fled into the distance.
1 If not made to run first, the moment the doggy king appeared, the red date horse’s muscles kept twitching. It was clear this guy was forcibly suppressing its desire to flee, wanting to face the doggy king alongside Yun Ce.
1 The battle hadn’t even started, and this guy was already scared to this extent. When the fight began, it would only be a burden, so better to let it run first.
1 For the first time, Yun Ce had to look up at a dog, mainly because he wasn’t as tall as the doggy king, especially seeing the doggy king’s proudly raised head. Yun Ce felt he was truly facing a lofty king.
1 Under the doggy king’s sturdy claws was a very small milk dog. This dog had pretty black-and-white fur, especially a large black patch right over its left eye, making the little guy even more endearing. It was just very naughty; if not pinned by the doggy king’s claw, Yun Ce thought it would run to his feet and tug at his pant legs.
1 Seeing Yun Ce paying more attention to that little milk dog, the doggy king let out a muffled low roar and lightly pawed with its foot, flipping the little milk dog onto its back with all four feet up.
1 Yun Ce glanced at the little milk dog again, thrust the horse spear straight at the doggy king’s chest.
1 The doggy king’s body was huge but turned very nimbly. It stepped left to dodge the horse spear and opened its mouth to bite down toward Yun Ce’s head.
2 The horse spear clashed with the dog teeth, emitting a teeth-grinding screech. Seeing the horse spear bent like a bow under the doggy king’s big head, Yun Ce withdrew his force and quickly retreated. Before the distance opened, the doggy king opened its big mouth again and pounced down like a mountain with its majestic body.
2 Yun Ce blocked with the horse spear, but unfortunately, the spear shaft was like straw under the doggy king’s sharp teeth, chewed to pieces in one bite. The mouth reeking of thick fishy stench fiercely collided with Yun Ce’s head.
2 “Boom”
2 Yun Ce was smashed to the ground, the doggy king’s head also flung high up. Yun Ce’s body rebounded immediately upon hitting the ground. Before the doggy king’s head came down, he locked its throat with his arms like iron hoops. At the same time, his knee slammed into the doggy king’s chest like a heavy hammer.
2 The doggy king fiercely shook its neck. Yun Ce roared and hugged the doggy king’s neck tighter. His arms bulged with blood vessels, several large veins wriggling like earthworms under his thin skin. He strangled until the doggy king reared its neck again. This time, Yun Ce finally had the chance to kick fiercely at the doggy king’s chest with both feet.
2 “Thud thud thud.” His toes landing on the doggy king’s chest made drum sounds. Yun Ce’s kicks grew stronger with each one, and the drum sounds seemed to become more intense.
2 Blood began flowing from the doggy king’s mouth and nose. Yun Ce’s arms thickened another circle, the constricting force increasing again. The doggy king shook its head violently but lost its balance underfoot and crashed to the ground.
2 Yun Ce didn’t release the doggy king’s neck. After landing, he rolled to the side, continuing to clamp the neck with both arms, and to increase the force, he even used his knee to press against the doggy king’s neck, allowing his arms to exert even greater strength.
2 “Crack.” This was the sound of the doggy king’s neck breaking. Yun Ce was overjoyed, propping the doggy king’s neck with his knee and yanking back hard with both arms. After several crisp cracks, the doggy king stopped moving, and Yun Ce, leaning on its neck, also stopped moving.
2 Yun Ce had killed the doggy king, but the doggies surrounding outside didn’t scatter. Instead, they all raised their heads and howled madly, as if paying homage to their king.
3 Yun Ce withdrew his hands from under the doggy king’s neck, leaned back against its body, looked up at the sky, feeling no joy of victory.
3 The doggy king’s cub had run over at some point, pawing at the doggy king’s nose with its pink tender claws. After pawing for a long time, it snuggled close to Yun Ce and barked at him plaintively, as if protesting for its father.
3 Yun Ce ignored this pretty little guy and continued leaning against the doggy king’s corpse, savoring the aftertaste of victory.
3 The little milk dog started biting his boot. Yun Ce ignored it, so it got bolder and tugged at Yun Ce’s clothes. Seeing Yun Ce still ignore it, it ran to his hand, barked a few sharp yaps, and opened its mouth to bite Yun Ce’s left hand.
3 Yun Ce had never seen such a huge mouth and never imagined a five-or-six-pound little milk dog could open its mouth into a black hole. Almost instantly, layers of scales grew on Yun Ce’s left arm, his five fingers rapidly lengthened, and even his nails grew to half a foot in an instant.
3 Yun Ce’s left hand grabbed the little dog’s tongue, wrapped it several times around his palm, and watched as this giant mouth bit down on his arm.
3 Two rows of clean white sharp teeth bit into Yun Ce’s arm. The scales on the arm stood up like blades, clashing with the teeth. The teeth shattered, revealing countless dragon scale-like cavities.
3 Only then did Yun Ce turn his gaze to the little dog’s eyes behind the giant mouth. He chuckled lightly and said, “Finally caught you, doggy king.”
3 The doggy king was very angry and wanted to struggle free, but unfortunately, its tongue was gripped by Yun Ce and it couldn’t move.
3 “Doggy, your turn.”
4 “Okay.”
4 Ever since Yun Ce set rules for it, doggy’s way of speaking had changed, becoming concise.
4 Yun Ce felt the silver thread from the bracer drill into the doggy king’s mouth. Once the doggy king’s originally anger-filled eyes became dazed, he released its tongue and withdrew his arm from the shrinking mouth.
4 When he stood up holding the little dog, there wasn’t a single doggy left in sight.
4 The red date horse brought Steward Qiu and the others. Despite Yun Ce standing right in front of them, their gazes fell on that excessively huge doggy corpse.
4 “Give you half a shichen to skin it.”
4 After giving the order, Yun Ce jumped onto the red date horse, cradling the little dog as he returned to the convoy.
4 This doggy disaster had still caused some damage to the convoy: sixteen people died, twelve guards and four hunters.
4 After such a great catastrophe with only sixteen dead, everyone was relieved, including that centurion from the tiger guards army. Though he didn’t understand why the doggies suddenly fled, he was willing to claim the merit of driving them off himself. After all, he alone had killed over a hundred doggies, which was indeed not easy.
4 Wrestling with that nearly demonic doggy had taken a lot out of Yun Ce. Now, his belly felt like it was on fire, hunger surging like waves crashing into his mind. He wolfed down seven or eight pancakes and gnawed a huge piece of unnamed cooked meat before barely suppressing the hunger.
5 He took out the water pouch and drank half a bag contentedly before finally having time to ask doggy.
5 “Can this thing be tamed?”
5 “No. This guy may look small, but it’s actually a doggy that’s lived over a century. For a long time, it was the king of doggies.”
5 “So this thing is useless, right?”
5 “There is a way, but it might break your moral bottom line.”
5 “What method?”
5 “I discovered this doggy’s original body was very large. It reverse-grew into this form. If I intervene to break its reverse growth process, its body will stay in the cub state forever.”
5 “Will its martial power be affected?”
5 “Of course. This guy’s original martial power was extremely strong. Maybe because of the reverse growth, its formerly robust body shrank, and now all it has left is that mouth. I even suspect that though smaller, it became even tougher.”
5 “Test it later. Anyway, you’d rather kill it than enslave it, right?”
6 Hearing this, Yun Ce immediately stood up, grabbed the little doggy, and smashed it heavily to the ground. His strength was immense, creating a two-foot-deep pit in the ground with the little doggy’s body.
6 Yun Ce reached into the pit, pulled out the doggy, brushed the dirt off its body, and found it not only unscathed but merely dazed in its black-and-white eyes from the violent impact.
