Chapter 93: Celebrate
Chun E chatted idly with Su Yaoguang for a few words. Seeing that more and more customers were looking for her and she couldn’t keep up, Chun E stayed to help her out.
After greeting a customer, Su Yaoguang turned back to Chun E and said, “Aren’t you going to take care of your own business?”
“I hired a shop assistant. Now I have someone to boss around too.” Chun E said proudly, “The method you taught me is really useful. Now I can match clothes too.”
“That’s great. You should rest too.” Su Yaoguang said, “Let’s have dinner together tonight! The opening went great today. We should celebrate properly.”
“Alright, I’ll shamelessly mooch a meal and drinks then.”
From the morning when they opened the doors to welcome customers, the shop never lacked customers. At noon, they went in batches to the opposite restaurant to eat some noodles. After finishing the noodles, they came back to serve customers. In the afternoon, customers finally dwindled. Seeing that the inventory was almost gone, they simply closed the shop doors and went straight to a restaurant to order a banquet.
“No need to save money for me today. Just order what you like to eat.” Su Yaoguang said boldly and generously.
Everyone burst into laughter together.

Chun E said, “I’ve only come here once, and you remember me?”

“Of course. My newly recognized sworn sister has a pair of clever hands. The facial cream she makes can make people look several years younger! Let me introduce her to you. This is my sworn sister, also the shop owner of the newly opened Peach Blossom Workshop. From now on, when she comes to your restaurant to eat, you must serve her well and give her extra snacks.”
“That’s for sure. This shop owner is really young!” The shop assistant had a sweet mouth, making Chun E beam with joy and lifting the moods of the rest of the Zhang family.
Following Chun E’s words, Su Yaoguang instructed the shop assistant, “See what good dishes you have and serve a few of your signature dishes.”
“You have eight people. Our portions are quite generous. How about five dishes and one soup?” the shop assistant suggested. “If it’s not enough, you can order more later.”
“I finally know why Chun E speaks so highly of your restaurant. This is how to do business. Good, we’ll go with your arrangement. Just bring your specialties.”
The shop assistant thanked them for their trust and turned to make the arrangements.
Su Yaoguang praised the shop assistant’s cleverness a few more times.
“Wangshu, Chun E said those two went to Jin Le Fang after getting the board. Do you know about this matter?”
“I don’t know.” Zhou Wangshu shook his head. “I guarded them until they finished getting the board and then left. If I’d known they were going to Jin Le Fang, I should have followed to reason with them. I didn’t think of that at the time.”
“No need for you to go to them. They’ll soon come to you to apologize. When they stand at Peach Blossom Workshop then, won’t that boost Peach Blossom Workshop’s reputation again? Wang Huanzhi poured Zhou Wangshu a cup of alcoholic beverages.
Zhou Wangshu said awkwardly, “Uncle-in-law, I don’t drink.”
“Today we’re happy. One or two cups won’t hurt. Anyway, we’re all family, and someone will take care of you.”
“Your uncle-in-law doesn’t drink usually either. Today he’s in a good mood and will drink a few cups to liven things up.” Zhang Yingdi comforted Zhou Wangshu. “You’ll see later. He’s the one who gets tipsy after one cup.”
Su Yaoguang poured half of the alcohol from Zhou Wangshu’s cup into her own and said to Wang Huanzhi, “He’s still young and can’t drink. But since it’s from uncle-in-law, he can’t not drink it. Just a token sip then.”
“I see Wangshu isn’t that young. In a poor family, a boy like this could already support the family business.” Wang Huanzhi said. “He’s your husband. Don’t treat him like a child.”
Su Yaoguang felt guilty.
Uncle-in-law had such a sharp gaze.
She glanced at Zhou Wangshu, leaned close to him, and asked in a low voice, “Drinking won’t harm your body, right? I heard some people can’t touch alcohol—one sip and they faint or break out in rashes.”
“No, it won’t. I just have a low tolerance.”
“Good, as long as it won’t.”
Zhou Wangshu wiped her forehead with a handkerchief. “There’s a smudge here. You must have gotten it somewhere while being too busy earlier.”
Wang Huanzhi’s gaze lingered on Zhou Wangshu and Su Yaoguang.
Zhou Wangshu was too eye-catching. Could such a man really settle down to live with Yaoguang?
The meal came. The shop assistant had indeed recommended well—every dish was delicious in appearance, aroma, and taste, with generous portions. The eight of them would definitely eat their fill.
The alcoholic beverages were poured full, and they first toasted a cup.
“This first cup, we have to drink it to properly celebrate today’s great victory.” Zhang Zhaodi said. “Everyone has worked hard this time. Our Yaoguang said she’ll take twenty percent of today’s opening earnings as bonus for everyone. The rest will stay in the shop to buy flower materials and prepare for the next batch of goods.”
Everyone was surprised.
Su Yaoguang hadn’t mentioned this before. It was the first time they heard of such a pleasant surprise.
“No.” Wang Huanzhi said. “Yaoguang is willing to take us in and lead us in business to earn money. We’ve already gotten a great deal. Yaoguang is the boss; the money earned should be hers. We’re getting wages, higher than a manager’s at other places. We’re already very satisfied and grateful for this life.”
“Right, we can’t accept it.” Zhang Pandi nodded repeatedly.
Silver is a good thing, and everyone wants it, especially people like them mother and daughters who have lived hard lives long enough. But precisely because of that, they were even more grateful and didn’t want to take this cheap advantage.
