Chapter 62: Laws
Heavenly Father Uranus’s Divine Power is still slightly inferior compared to the four primordial gods, but no god dares to speak loudly to Him.
Some Laws can just do as one pleases.
Even without considering the Laws themselves, Divinity, Divine Power, and Divine Body—these three elements may not be of the same level of strength.
In actual battle, changes are myriad, and the final victory or defeat still depends on the performance of comprehensive strength.
As for Laws, this is even more complex and can only be analyzed specifically in specific situations.
Roughly speaking, Laws can be divided into five main types:
“Primordial Origin type,” these are the most fundamental and primordial Laws of the Universe, such as Matter, Void, darkness, night, Lust, etc. They are the most fundamental existences that constitute the Universe.
“Creation Origin type,” these Laws are closely connected to the formation and evolution of the Universe, such as Great Thunder, light, firmament, Sky, earth fire water air, Breeding Fertility, Creation, etc. They are indispensable powers for the evolution and growth of the Universe’s existence.
“Supreme Authority type,” transcending specific Matter, these are high-order Laws that influence the operation of the Universe, such as Death, Destiny, Order, Wisdom, etc. They are the macroscopic Rules of the Universe’s operation.
“Main God Authority type,” some important domains, such as forging, Agriculture, Ocean, earthquakes, War, etc. They are important powers that support life Development and influence life Existence.
“Concrete Domain type,” referring to those Laws directly related to specific phenomena or Elements, as well as conceptual existences derived from life Existence, such as Gale, tsunamis, dusk, art, music, poetry, etc. They are the Rules behind the phenomena of existence in the Universe, as well as the concepts of life Development and evolution.
These are just types, without distinction of superiority or inferiority; the specific hierarchy and subordination of Laws must be viewed and analyzed concretely.
Although some Laws do have hierarchy and subordination between them, it does not absolutely determine the strength or weakness in battle.
The hierarchical subordination relationships of many composite Authorities are even more ambiguous and difficult to clearly define.
In pure conflicts between Laws, whether mutually generating and overcoming or differing in subordination, when truly fighting, it still depends on the strength of the gods’ own Divinity and Divine Power.
Even in the face of certain completely unrelated Laws, relying solely on the Law itself cannot produce any influence on the opponent.
Just like dusk and Gale, which fundamentally cannot influence each other, and painting and music, which are hard to determine a winner.
However, in conventional situations, the closer a Law is to the Origin, the stronger its Divinity and Divine Power.
As the Universe continuously perfects and the Laws become increasingly complex, the duties and Authorities of gods will also become more composite and interconnected, which is an inevitable trend of the Universe’s evolution.
Many gods can thus master multiple Law Authorities, becoming gods of composite Laws, with their power becoming even stronger and more diverse, making hierarchical division increasingly difficult and battle outcomes even harder to predict.
Additionally, since the same god can possess multiple Laws, becoming a god of composite Laws.
Then, the same Law can also have its Authority shared among the gods, and this sharing falls into two situations.
The first is sharing of a Law with a master, meaning that Law has an independent Divinity Self-Existence.
In this case, the god of that Law can choose to share or grant part of the Authority to other gods.
However, this god of the Law always holds absolute control and can reclaim the shared Authority at any time or impose various limitations on the sharer.
This can be understood as the homeowner sharing the house with others to live in, but still retaining absolute control.
The second is sharing of Laws without Divinity, these are pure Laws that have not yet formed independent Divinity Self, and once mastered by a god, it is also difficult for them to form Self again.
Such Laws can be shared by multiple gods, and the might they ultimately unleash depends entirely on the gods’ own depth of Understanding and ingenuity of application of that Law, as well as the strength of their Divinity and Divine Power.
This is like an ownerless park—whoever occupies a good spot purely depends on the individual.
Many gods of the Oceanic Pantheon were granted Authority by Oceanus, or shared some water-based Law Authorities; those with independent Laws are a minority.
In principle, as long as one possesses Law Authority, one can exert a certain influence on the Existence of the Universe.
However, if the opponent’s Law essence is closer to the Origin, its Divinity more Vast, or its Divine Power and Divine Body stronger, then exerting influence on it becomes more difficult; even if an effect can be produced, it is often underwhelming.
If directly influencing the application of the Law itself, it mainly depends on the opponent’s Law essence and Divinity.
Specifically, the application of Laws and the effects produced mainly depend on Divinity and Divine Power.
Some Laws themselves may not be so close to the Origin of the Universe, but in the hands of different gods, unleashed with their powerful Divinity and Divine Power, they can still influence the entire Universe.
However, if the opponent can powerfully “sever” their connection with the Universe World, then any Law’s influence will fail.
But this is very difficult; except for the two God Kings, no other gods can do it.
And the two God Kings cannot always sever their connection with the World; after all, They also have to live within the World.
In other words, if plotting against the unprepared, even a God King might fall victim.
But once the God King reacts, the consequences…
Anyway, ordinary gods cannot withstand it.
Another aspect is the refinement of Laws; as Cosmic Laws become increasingly perfect, the many foundational Laws inevitably become more comprehensive and vast through continuous derivation and subdivision.
In principle, any Law with Self Divinity is the absolute Master of the Laws it governs.
However, many Laws are often intertwined and interconnected, almost impossible to exist independently of the whole.
The Birth of many Laws themselves derives from a more Origin, more grand concept, like branches subdivided from a giant tree.
Therefore, if one Law has a strong association with another Law, and the former happens to fall within the broader scope of the latter’s Law Authority, then it must also be subject to its influence or control.
The intensity of this influence and the degree of control depend on the strength of the association, as well as the breadth and depth of the opponent’s Authority coverage.
For example, the towering Mountains Law is in an absolute subordinate position relative to the Vast Earth Law.
Although Mountains has fully mastered its own Law, possessing independent Divinity and Will, under the Earth’s indisputably vast Authority, it is still indirectly dominated.
But this domination is not absolute control; the Mountains Divinity still has Self, and Earth can only indirectly manipulate and influence Mountains through the broader concept of Earth.
If Mountains simply refuses to cooperate, then Earth can only rely on its supreme Authority, using overwhelming Divinity and Vast Divine Power to forcibly suppress and control; however, in this case, Earth’s manipulation will be twice the effort for half the result, with huge power consumption and poor effectiveness.
