Chapter 81: I Will Create A Brand New Order!
Zeus gently shook his head, a smile reappearing on his face: “Justice cannot be blasphemed, order cannot be violated.”
“Forcing the honorable Goddess of Justice and Order to violate her own will is not something any god should do.”
“I came to visit you today not to have you participate in this war, but simply to discuss with you the order of the future universe.”
“You should also see that God King Cronus’s current order has decayed to the point where that stench cannot be covered.”
“Therefore, establishing a new order, a better order, one that maintains peaceful coexistence for all gods and living beings in the universe, is imperative and urgent.”
“You certainly should not betray order, but when I establish a new order in the future that truly conforms to the principles of justice, can you defend that new order for me?”
The charming Themis smiled lightly and asked in return: “Are you so confident that you will certainly achieve final victory?”
The corners of Zeus’s mouth curved into a confident smile, his eyes shining with firm radiance: “Because I firmly believe that justice and free will will ultimately triumph! While decay, greed, and brutality will eventually be completely destroyed!”
“What I want to create is a truly fair and just order! An order that allows all living beings to live in harmony in this world!”
“I will not allow any living being to harm this world at will. I will treat all disputes in the universe fairly and justly, I will forever defend fairness and justice! I will establish a completely new, truly sacred justice order!”
“I will represent the will of the gods, allowing all gods and all living beings in the entire universe to harvest peace and tranquility, and fully enjoy all the beauty brought by the world in this beautiful world!”
Themis quietly gazed at Zeus’s firm and confident gaze, her heart greatly shaken.
But her flawless beauty remained unmoved, the Goddess of Justice knew well that justice is done, not spoken.
The final outcome would still depend on Zeus’s actual actions in the future!
Even so, her attitude toward Zeus clearly became more polite.
The flawless Themis asked in a serious tone: “Respected Zeus, what kind of new order do you intend to establish?”
Zeus’s expression was serious as he slowly replied: “The Great Mother Goddess Gaia created all living beings; the Great Father God Uranus granted spirituality to all things. When the lofty sky dome separated from earth, all things thereby gained free will.”
“Free will rightfully belongs to all beings, but unlimited freedom will only lead to indulgence, ultimately bringing destruction and endless strife.”
“True freedom is not doing whatever one wants, but having the ability to refuse what one does not want to do, possessing the right to say ‘no’!”
“Therefore, my new order will follow the following three core principles:”
“First, neither gods nor all spirits may casually destroy the world. The world is the incarnation of the Great Mother Goddess; we should construct the world, making it more beautiful, rather than harming our Mother Goddess.”
“Neither gods nor all spirits may act recklessly, harm, destroy, or force other living beings at will. Even gods may not overstep this limit.”
“Second, every god enjoys their own honor, and other gods may not seize it by force or trickery; a god’s authority is sacred and inviolable.”
“Third, gods are allowed to freely gestate new laws and enjoy corresponding honor in the world. However, this is only permitted within the scope of their own authority, or without conflicting with or relating to other gods’ authorities.”
“I will never allow any god to destroy or devour other laws, or erode other gods’ laws in any form, and gods must resolutely fulfill the duties corresponding to their authorities.”
“If disputes arise among gods, they will be judged jointly by the gods to ensure justice.”
After stating these three principles, Zeus looked seriously at Themis and continued: “My principles are these three; no matter who, including myself, must strictly adhere to them. I came to visit you today to sincerely invite you to join Olympus in the future.”
“Not now, but the future after the new order is established.”
“In the future, Olympus will become the order center of the universe, and all disputes in the universe will, under my auspices, be personally witnessed by you, the embodiment of order, and judged jointly by the gods, issuing just rewards and punishments. We will gradually perfect all order, bringing it to perfection.”
“Respected Order, flawless Justice, you are an indispensable great existence in the universe; I sincerely invite you to protect the world and defend justice.”
“I ask you to assist me in governing the universe in the future, maintaining the stability of the universe, and also to constantly supervise all my actions, ensuring I always adhere to the laws of justice and do not stray onto the wrong path.”
Themis had been quietly listening all along, and her heart was filled with deep longing for the grand blueprint of the future universe that Zeus described.
However, her flawless beauty remained calm and unruffled, revealing no emotions whatsoever.
Only Zeus’s final words caused her heart to shake violently, and she could not help asking: “Are you speaking the truth?”
Zeus nodded heavily and said resolutely: “From the bottom of my heart, absolutely true, without any falsehood.”
The beautiful Themis could not help but frown slightly, saying with a hint of inquiry: “Do you know how much power you have given me with these words? Do you know how much power you have relinquished as God King?”
Hearing this, Zeus burst into laughter: “Beautiful Goddess Themis, I am the Son of the God King, Son of Rhea; how could you doubt whether I understand the true essence of power?”
“It is precisely because I am all too clear on the nature of power that I make this solemn request of you.”
Zeus’s expression became serious again: “Heavenly Father Uranus, God King Cronus—He possesses unlimited power, and the other nearly unlimited power as well.”
“But precisely because of this, holy Themis, look at what They ultimately became after possessing this unrestricted power?”
“If power has no checks or limitations, then no matter how heroic or merciful a god king once was, they will inevitably degenerate and become the most terrifying disaster for all living beings in the universe.”
“Sacred Themis, please allow me to speak the most sincere words: even I cannot guarantee that if I possess unlimited power, I will not ultimately follow in the footsteps of the two old god kings.”
“I know well that power is poison; while poisoning others, it also corrodes the vessel that holds it.”
“Therefore, from the very beginning, I decided to renounce that unlimited power from start to finish!”
