Chapter 43: Experience
A week passed quickly.
Li Ye had been practicing the Foundation Establishment Technique these past few days. He hadn’t accumulated enough Qi and Blood for the Twelve Circulations required by the Twelve Golden Palace Dragon Tiger Gate, so he could only practice the Foundation Establishment Technique. The Qi and Blood generated from this was stored away by him under the Authority ‘Food Qi Method’.
[Qi and Blood: 410]
[Twelve Golden Palace Dragon Tiger Gate: 0]
This was his own data visualization. Over the week, he ate Martial Artist meals in the canteen without fail every day, plus the boost from the remaining three bottles of Nutritional Supplement, totaling 400 points. The extra 10 points were accumulated from practicing the Foundation Establishment Technique daily.
The school didn’t approve his request for extra meals, which was unfortunate, but fifty cups a day was enough. Next, it depended on whether the Experience Points would deliver.
Martial Arts Students have no weekend holidays; they train all day. If there’s something urgent, they can apply for leave.
At this moment, Li Ye was on a bus, looking at his mobile phone.
As soon as he arrived at school, they gathered and boarded the bus. There were currently thirty-eight Martial Arts Track students, more than enough for one bus.
On his mobile phone was the information about demonic creatures related to this Dragon Mountain Experience Point, just issued last night.
“There are newcomers among you, so I’ll introduce it again. This time, we’re only operating within the designated area and cannot go beyond it. The dangers in the area are strictly controlled, with drones monitoring at all times to ensure your safety to the maximum extent.”
“If you really encounter a danger you can’t handle or can’t return, shout into the sky. The patrolling drones above will hear it. Of course, this isn’t absolute. You’re not students on a spring outing or field trip—you’re Martial Artists who will bear more responsibility in the future, so prepare yourselves mentally.”
Gu Yang’s words made Deng Hao and Jia Dong a bit panicked. Although Gu Yang had emphasized it to these new Martial Arts Students in the days leading up to the Experience, they still felt flustered when the time actually came.
Yao Lèdān, sitting in another seat, looked over. “Don’t worry, it’s just talk. No accidents have happened so far. If worst comes to worst, follow me first—I’m familiar with this area of Dragon Mountain. Li Ye, want to join?”
“You guys team up. I’ll check it out myself first.” Li Ye shook his head.
Gu Yang continued, “The demonic creatures on Dragon Mountain are clearly listed in the information on your phones. If you encounter a demonic creature not listed, don’t try to fight it—evacuate quickly. But this situation basically won’t happen, so no need to worry too much.”
Hearing this, Li Ye looked at his mobile phone again.
There were quite a few green names marked on it, including the Ironclad Pig, as well as demonic creatures like ‘Green Bamboo Dart Mantis’ and ‘Swirling Saliva Toad’. Most were demonic creatures produced by mutations of Dragon Mountain’s native animals.
Not only names, but detailed information was included: weaknesses, habits, possible appearance areas, even clues about potential nests.
Dragon Mountain doesn’t respawn in fixed spots, nor is it some hardship realm; it’s just that some demonic creatures capable of reproducing again are left there. Given enough time, new Experience Points can be generated.
The planned area also factors this in. As for how many… they’d find out once they entered the mountain.
The bus headed north and finally stopped at the mountain entrance. Further up, there were no proper roads, just simple dirt paths winding upward, flanked by half-person-high fence markers serving as the boundary.
Li Ye looked up and could just see a few drones flying overhead in the sky.
“You don’t need to handle the killed demonic creatures yourselves. The miniature cameras issued to you earlier can record them, linking to the drones for real-time transmission. We have dedicated personnel to process your kill data, so no worries about prey being stolen or unrecorded.”
“One demonic creature counts as one point. If fighting together, it’s split evenly—we’ll calculate it clearly. Now, move out!”
As Gu Yang finished speaking, the first few impatient classmates leaped one after another. They didn’t take the mountain path but quickly climbed the adjacent slope, using hands and feet on the high ground before disappearing into the mountain forest.
“Huh? Why didn’t I see that Fu Chuxue?” Deng Hao scanned around and asked curiously.
The great beauty left a deep impression, especially since she hadn’t been seen these past few days except at the start of school.
Yao Lèdān said, “Special talents get special treatment. She doesn’t lack those Experience things—just handles the Martial Arts Competition. Li Ye, if you get good results in the Martial Arts Competition, maybe you too…”
Thud!
Before she finished speaking, a gust of wind stirred beside her, blowing her short hair.
Li Ye kicked the air on both sides, his feet stepping on the air and rippling waves of qi, as if climbing heavenly stairs. His figure swam forward, reaching halfway up the slope in two or three steps, then borrowing force to leap into the air again, flying straight toward the mountaintop.
“Such amazing Lightness Skill… Brother Ye lives up to being Brother Ye.”
Deng Hao stared dumbfounded at Li Ye’s figure rapidly ascending and gradually disappearing, blinking his eyes before turning to Yao Lèdān. “Sister Le, how much does that Breakthrough Martial Arts cost? Can I buy it?”
“Buy it for what? Keep it at home and wait for your ancestral grave to smoke green so your descendants have the Talent to learn it? The country is already worried no one can master these Breakthrough Martial Arts, and here you want to spend money to buy one.”
Yao Lèdān rolled her eyes. “Practice your ordinary Martial Arts well first. Come on, I’ll take you hunting.”
“You’re sticking with us? Don’t want Experience Points?” Jia Dong asked.
“I don’t want the hassle. Killing demonic creatures is exhausting—you’ll see when we encounter them. I don’t lack money and have better things than Nutritional Supplements anyway. It’s all arranged—I’ll just buy them up.” Yao Lèdān said smugly.
The demonic creatures on the mountain weren’t immediately visible. Their designated range covered roughly three connected Mountain Peaks, with demonic creatures scattered widely.
Normally, like those below, one would rely on Lightness Skill to seize the initiative, then search for traces to lock onto demonic creature positions.
Li Ye didn’t need the hassle—his air-staying ability was strong, giving him better visibility from high up.
Why not use good Martial Arts? Learn from those with poor Martial Arts and hike up on foot?
He was here for Experience, not to show off.
The Experience ran until the next Martial Arts Competition—not much time left, and limited quantity, until cleared.
He needed to earn more points in this time to exchange for more Nutritional Supplements.
“Found one!”
Kicking several steps in the air, Li Ye swam through a long distance high up like a dragon, his gaze locking onto an open clearing in the middle of the mountain forest, where two wild pigs were lying resting.
The pitch-black wild pigs were easy to spot from the air.
Li Ye leaped downward, landing like a heavy hammer and shaking the ground.
Bang!
The impact roused the wild pigs’ reaction; they quickly stood and roared at Li Ye.
Unlike ordinary wild pigs, these two had no mane, more like domestic pigs—pitch-black nearly reflective, as if clad in armor.
Their mouths had protruding tooth roots, clearly with breakage marks.
Purely for training students— no wonder accidents were rare.
Just as he thought this, Li Ye moved swiftly. With a step, his figure swam straight over like a Swimming Dragon, arriving at the center between the two Ironclad Pigs just as they planted their hooves in alert stance.
“Golden Dragon Grasp.”
His claws thrust out, easily punching holes in the heads of the two Ironclad Pigs, then twisting inside to hollow them out.
Hard.
But useless.
Li Ye was harder!
