Chapter 9: Fight! It’s Just A Matter Of Paying Some Medical Expenses!
Eat more while you can!
Soon, Li Ye got food again and returned. Amid the shocked gazes of the two, he continued to devour it like a whirlwind.
Then the third serving.
“Brother Ye, stop, stop eating. What’s wrong with you? Do you want to go to the hospital for a checkup?”
When Li Ye was about to get the fourth serving, Deng Hao grabbed him. “I’m scared of you eating like this.”
They even forgot to eat their own food, just watching Li Ye polish off three servings as if he were eating air. Now, from the looks of it, he still wasn’t satisfied?
A single serving is enough for a normal Preparatory Student!
They can’t even finish it!
Demonic Creatures appeared?
Hungry Ghosts possessed him?!
Li Ye came to his senses, gently shook off Deng Hao, and chuckled lightly: “I’m going to return the Meal Tray.”
To avoid shocking the world, it was time to stop.
“I thought you were possessed by Demonic Creatures.” Deng Hao let out a sigh of relief.
He could eat, but it was still within their acceptable range.
“This is the Preparatory Canteen.”
Just as Li Ye went to return the Plate, an arrogant voice rang out from outside the Canteen.
A spiky-haired guy in a school uniform was escorting a pretty girl into the Canteen.
The girl said worriedly: “Brother Ming, can a Liberal Arts Student like me really eat in the Preparatory Canteen?”
“Of course!”
The spiky-haired guy said: “The Ingredients in the Canteen are all ones I fought for. In the entire No. 14 Middle School, I can eat wherever I want!”
Silver-white school uniform with a golden star on the chest.
Martial Arts Student.
His loud voice drew the attention of everyone in the Canteen and made the girl who had just stepped in stop in her tracks.
She thought for a moment, then tugged at the spiky-haired guy’s Clothes and said: “Brother Ming, forget it. I’ll go to the regular Canteen instead.”
“What are you afraid of!”
This seemed to provoke the spiky-haired guy’s pride. He disdainfully glanced at everyone in the Canteen and said:
“What are you looking at them for? What opinion can a bunch of Preparatory Students have? They won’t even be as good as you in the future. You have good Liberal Arts scores and can Get into a Good University later. These people are neither high nor low achievers; they can only be rice buckets for these few years!”
“What the hell did you say!”
Deng Hao, who was eating, slapped the table and stood up, cursing:
“Who are you calling a rice bucket? And what do you mean ‘fought for’? Didn’t the School give you Resources in exchange? I’m eating the School’s food. What does it have to do with you!”
The spiky-haired guy tilted his neck arrogantly and said:
“Little fatty, do you know that a cheap mouth easily gets hurt? What’s wrong with me calling you a rice bucket? Senior year is coming soon and you still haven’t Broken Through Dragon Gate. Besides your big appetite, what can you do?
“Your mom!”
Deng Hao’s face turned beet red as he charged out. One foot moved forward two steps, then he switched feet and lunged, forming a palm with five fingers that smashed down from above with a tearing wind sound.
Don’t let his fat fool you; his body was all muscle wrapped in fat. He trained Pigua Quan at the Martial Arts School, which was fierce and powerful. In normal spars with others, many Preparatory Students couldn’t withstand his attacks.
When the spiky-haired guy saw Deng Hao suddenly attack, he was stunned at first, then a ferocious grin appeared. He didn’t even let go of the girl’s hand by his side. With a ‘screech,’ his left foot twisted out a friction sound, and then he left an afterimage.
Smack!
The heavy smashing palm hit that afterimage, producing an explosive sound. It bounced Deng Hao’s hand high up and made his charging body retreat backward.
Whoosh!
The afterimage changed posture, stabbing straight like a sharp sword toward Deng Hao’s face.
That was the spiky-haired guy’s leg!
Such fast Speed!
Deng Hao’s eyes widened as he tried to raise his hand to defend, but it was too late.
Clang!
Just as that kick was about to hit Deng Hao, something else smashed over at the same moment. The spiky-haired guy reacted quickly, hooking his forward-kicking Legs in a follow-through, kicking that thing far away. It crashed into the ceiling with a crisp sound.
Whoosh!
The same wind sound stirred up. Someone suddenly closed in, leaping right in front of the spiky-haired guy and stabbing a fierce kick into his chest, sending him stumbling back several steps.
Smack!
The thing from the ceiling fell at that moment—it was a completely deformed metal Meal Tray.
“Brother Ming!” The girl finally cried out in alarm.
“Brother Ye!” Deng Hao also shouted.
The one blocking in front of Deng Hao was none other than Li Ye.
“Guo Chumíng, what do you want to do?” he asked coldly.
He knew this guy; he used to be from the same Martial Arts School. He was always very arrogant, but they hadn’t interacted much, especially after he Broke Through Dragon Gate half a year ago, when they had even less contact.
“Li Ye?”
Guo Chumíng patted his chest, veins bulging at his temple. Clearly, that kick had ignited his fury.
“I heard you quit the Martial Arts School last week. Master was quite sorry about it, saying you learned well. But no matter how well you learned, you’re still just an ordinary person, right? Playing legs with me—you don’t know that yours is called Training Method and mine is called Martial Arts!”
Guo Chumíng took two steps forward, his stance stirring up a faint gust of wind that rustled his pant legs, even producing a muffled booming sound.
“You damn Preparatory Student, you think you can stick your neck out here?! I’m going to step on you while I eat today!”
Facing Guo Chumíng’s aggressive approach, Li Ye didn’t retreat a single step and sneered:
“Look Down On Preparatory Students? Why don’t you take a look at where this is? Do you think we’re dead?!”
Whoa!
As soon as the words fell, nearly a hundred Preparatory Students in the Canteen had half of them stand up first, glaring over with sharp eyes.
The remaining half saw them stand and followed suit, glaring angrily.
“Guo Chumíng, this isn’t a place for you to act arrogant. Once I enter Martial Arts Track, the first one I’ll beat is you!” This was from someone who knew him.
“Guo Chumíng, fuck your mom!” This was from someone hot-tempered.
No. 14 Middle School had a total of four Preparatory Classes, nearly two hundred people, and half of them were eating here, including all his classmates.
When Deng Hao made his move, many hadn’t reacted yet. But when Li Ye arrived, most of them snapped to attention.
They were already holding back anger from Guo Chumíng’s words, just intimidated by the Martial Arts Student’s status and hadn’t spoken up.
Li Ye was also quite popular in the class. This didn’t mean much usually, but at key moments, it was prestige.
Now with one shout, they all stood up!
Suddenly, Guo Chumíng was the one intimidated.
“I remember you were still a Preparatory Student half a year ago. After a Qi Blood Leap, you Look Down On People? What Realm are you now, One Dragon Gate? Two Dragon Gate?”
Li Ye stared at him unkindly. “Do you know, they might not be able to beat Demonic Creatures, but if I tell them to beat you—if you can walk out that door today, then we’re really rice buckets.”
Whoosh!
As soon as the words fell, Deng Hao took the lead and stepped forward, causing everyone in the Canteen to surge ahead together.
This sudden scene made Guo Chumíng instinctively retreat half a step, but he immediately reacted, his face turning ashen—clearly angry at himself for being scared.
But he still didn’t dare move.
He was just at One Dragon Gate Realm. Beating a few people was fine, but so many… he didn’t have that strength.
If things really blew up, he would be the one in the wrong.
“Fine!”
Guo Chumíng forced a stiff smile: “I’ll give you face today, but watch yourself. And you… little fatty.”
He glanced back at Deng Hao and Threatened: “There will always be times when you’re alone. Don’t let me catch you—it’s just a matter of paying some Medical Expenses.”
With that, he took the girl by his side and turned to leave. “It’s fine. I’ll take you out for something good—way more satisfying than this tough dried meat in the Canteen.”
Screech!!
But as soon as he turned, Li Ye dropped into a horse stance, his feet grinding against the floor with friction. He instantly closed in and drove a kick straight into his back, sending him sprawling face-down.
Guo Chumíng grunted, but reacted quickly, planting his hands to get up. However, an afterimage appeared before his eyes.
Bang!
Li Ye kicked him in the face, making his head spin dizzily.
Seeing Li Ye make his move, Deng Hao roared in fury and charged up, swinging Pigua Quan in circles, one punch after another hammering into Guo Chumíng’s back.
Jia Dong quickly followed, his body nimble like a monkey and descending like a tiger, stomping directly onto Guo Chumíng’s back.
He trained ‘Twelve Forms,’ specifically imitating various animals to Strengthen Oneself. His fighting style blended hard and soft.
With someone taking the lead, Li Ye’s classmates didn’t hold back and rushed up together. Others instinctively followed the crowd, surrounding Guo Chumíng completely.
No matter how much Martial Arts he had, against so many people, he couldn’t move freely and could only take the beating passively.
Li Ye was never one to take bullying. Being popular didn’t mean he was a pushover; which Martial Arts practitioner wasn’t full of hot blood?
Even the most rational Jia Dong had paid eight thousand; let alone him, Li Ye.
Having lived two lifetimes, was he going to live out a timid and cautious one?
He could even handle Demonic Creatures—how could he not handle someone who hadn’t long Broken Through Dragon Gate?!
What’s more, now he had Authority; he was even more confident!
Li Ye roared: “Beat him! It’s just a matter of paying some Medical Expenses!”
