Chapter 79: Fiery kiss
The gazes of the two met, with nowhere to escape.
The light from the streetlamp penetrated through the car’s windshield, falling on the man’s shoulders. In the dim light, his features and eyes appeared even deeper, those black eyes capable of devouring her were fixed on her.
As their eyes met, Lian Li blinked her long, dense eyelashes, which resembled small fans. Her hands, resting on her legs, slowly curled their fingertips.
Jin Shi Yue lowered his eyelids slightly, looking at her, a meaningful curve tugging at the corner of his lips.
“Dream on.”
He returned to the driver’s seat and started the engine.
The car sped down the road. Lian Li turned her glass-like eyes, and the events that had just transpired flashed through her mind.
—”Afraid I’ll kiss you?”
—”Dream on.”
When had she ever dreamed of him kissing her?
It made no sense.
She wasn’t coveting his good looks.
The city roads at night were a river of traffic. Light and shadow flowed into the car, washing over Jin Shi Yue’s sharply defined face.
Lian Li turned her head and looked out the car window.
After watching the buildings and greenery blur past for a moment, she turned back and said to Jin Shi Yue, “There’s a bus stop not far ahead. You can drop me off there.”
Jin Shi Yue held the steering wheel with one hand and glanced at her, “You think I’m your driver?”
“No,” Lian Li explained, “The place I’m going is quite far, and I was afraid it would be inconvenient for you.”
“How far is ‘quite far’? Are you going to the moon or Mars?” Jin Shi Yue drawled, “And when did I say it was inconvenient for me? Are you planning to kidnap me by knowing my schedule so well?”
Lian Li hadn’t expected him to reply so much to her one sentence. She thought men who had served in the military region would be taciturn.
Lian Li realized her stereotype was wrong and changed her tune, “It’s my fault for troubling you.”
“I haven’t said anything, yet you’re already feeling troubled for me. Why don’t you help me regain my innocence?”
“…”
Lian Li paused for a moment, “Innocence is given by oneself; others cannot take it away.”
Upon hearing this, Jin Shi Yue chuckled softly, the end of his laughter lingering in the air.
He glanced at her with his dark eyes, a slight smile on his lips, “What, do I have to reflect on myself?”
“Appropriate reflection is beneficial for physical and mental health,” Lian Li said in a calm tone.
Jin Shi Yue’s eyebrows rose slightly, piqued, “It seems you reflect often. Tell me, after sleeping with me, what profound life lessons have you learned?”
Lian Li turned her head to look at him. The man’s profile was sharp and angular, his thin lips curved in a smile, giving him a casual and nonchalant air.
“If you can’t think of anything now, write an article for me and send it to me,” Jin Shi Yue said, looking ahead. The intersection was not far away. He asked her, “Where are you going?”
Since she had said it was quite far, the destination was neither the apartment nor the school.
Given the Eldest Young Master’s domineering and unreasonable nature, anything Lian Li said would be futile.
He would never agree to leave her on the side of the road.
Lian Li said, “Qing Teng Road, number 21.”
The Jin Family was, to a certain extent, a benefactor to Lian Jingcheng and Lian Li.
Back then, when Lian Jingcheng brought Lian Li to the Capital City, he had to take care of his daughter and look for his wife, leaving him with insufficient time and energy. His work repeatedly hit roadblocks.
With prolonged expenses exceeding income, his savings were almost depleted. Lian Jingcheng did his best to provide Lian Li with a good life, while he himself often went hungry and cold.
Later, through a twist of fate, he became a driver for the Jin Family. Grateful for Old Master Jin’s kindness, he was not only given ample time to drive his daughter to school but also helped with their procedures in the Capital City, including household registration, residency, and housing.
The Jin Family was guarded by security both inside and out. Those who could work there were extraordinary individuals. Even the drivers were talents selected through rigorous screening.
Lian Jingcheng’s exceptional entry into the Jin Family was something he was grateful to Old Master Jin for from the bottom of his heart.
Although it was a trivial matter for Old Master Jin, a casual instruction that he might forget the next day, for Lian Li and her father, Old Master Jin was a savior in their time of need, a great benefactor in their lives.
As a child, Lian Li thought everyone in the Jin Family was like Old Master Jin, kind and good people. Who knew she would encounter the vile scoundrel Jin Shi Yue.
He was always subverting her perceptions.
Lian Li suddenly remembered the little girl from the Pei Family she had met at Wan Yi Hua Fu last time. She guessed that girl, like her, had been deceived by Jin Shi Yue.
On the surface, a cool big brother.
In reality, a ferocious delinquent.
Although Lian Li’s childhood was financially difficult, she didn’t feel it was hard because she had Lian Jingcheng.
Recalling it now, her only childhood shadow was probably Jin Shi Yue. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have remembered him for so long.
Annoying Jin Shi Yue. Take responsibility? Why doesn’t he just fly to the sky.
Every time she thought about it, Lian Li became more and more angry. The Koenigsegg drove into the residential area at Qing Teng Road, number 21, and stopped smoothly in front of the residential building.
“Thank you, goodbye.” Lian Li unbuckled her seatbelt decisively, opened the car door, and got out. She walked around the front of the car, preparing to head into the building.
“Stop,” Jin Shi Yue’s lazy voice came from behind her.
Lian Li stopped and turned to look at him, asking, “Is there anything else?”
“Come here,” Jin Shi Yue said.
The streetlights flickered dimly. The girl’s slender figure stood not far away, like a sculpture of white jade, motionless.
Jin Shi Yue’s well-defined fingers tapped the edge of the car window. He tilted his head and said righteously, “Talking from so far away is impolite.”
He had the serious demeanor of an elder scolding a junior.
Lian Li stepped forward, stopping a step away from the car, standing upright and looking at Jin Shi Yue in the driver’s seat.
The light and shadow from the streetlamp cast into the car, illuminating the man’s sharp facial features, dividing his handsome face into light and dark halves. He lifted his eyelids, and those deep, dark eyes were exceptionally captivating.
Jin Shi Yue beckoned Lian Li with his finger, signaling her to come closer.
“Can’t we talk like this?” Lian Li asked, remaining in place.
“No,” Jin Shi Yue stated firmly.
Lian Li took half a step forward, stood by the car, and bent down to look at Jin Shi Yue inside.
“What is it?”
The moment she bent down, a large, warm hand reached out from the car, wrapped around the back of her neck, gripped it completely, and pulled her in.
The man’s hot, arrogant breath invaded Lian Li, followed by the warm, soft touch on her lips.
Lian Li’s mind went blank.
His burning lips and tongue pried open her lips and forcefully swept in, his tongue entwining with her soft tongue, possessively sucking and biting her lips and tongue.
“Mmm…”
Jin Shi Yue was even more forceful and persistent than before, his tongue delving deep into Lian Li’s mouth. He seemed to be devouring her, nibbling at her meticulously.
Although she was outside in the cold car without air conditioning, her entire body felt an inexplicable warmth.
Jin Shi Yue’s long fingers tightly gripped Lian Li’s nape. With a slight squeeze of his knuckles, Lian Li felt as if a switch had been flipped. In a welcoming posture, she opened her mouth, allowing him to kiss her more deeply.
The surroundings were silent, with only their intertwined, ambiguous breaths and the thumping heartbeat in Lian Li’s chest.
His wild, passionate kiss made her heart tremble madly.
