Chapter 22: Senior Sister Misleads Me
A Yue took off her shoes and stood on the platform between Chen Wujun and Sha Jiu, bit her lip, held onto the steel pipe, and began twisting her body.
Moments later, the white shirt fell to one side, revealing the white underwear inside, as well as her explosive figure.
A Yue was clearly very nervous, her body trembling slightly while dancing.
“Such an explosive figure…” Sha Jiu tsked twice in admiration, beckoned to Chen Wujun, and had him sit beside her.
She turned her head and asked him: “What do you think? This new illegal immigrant is both pretty and obedient, I feel sorry for her, and her figure is so hot. Want to take her back? Spend a little money each month to keep her. Illegal immigrants aren’t worth much, 3000 bucks is about right. Outside, keeping someone like this would cost at least 30,000 a month.”
Sha Jiu held up three fingers and gestured twice in front of Chen Wujun.
“Someone so hot, and the men here can watch just by spending a little money—such a waste!”
“Senior Sister, if you pity her, why not take her back and keep her yourself!” Chen Wujun withdrew his gaze from her chest, turned his head, and said with a smile.
Although this woman was indeed pretty with a hot figure, his mind was full of martial arts practice and making money right now; he didn’t want to spend his thoughts and energy on other things.
“Me, a woman, taking another woman back to hide in a golden house?” Sha Jiu gave Chen Wujun a strange look, then leaned back on the sofa.
“Such a big benefit handed to you, and you don’t want it? Fine then!”
“Drink up! Today counts as celebrating for you!” Sha Jiu directly shoved the wine bottle at Chen Wujun.
“Thanks, Senior Sister!” Chen Wujun took the wine bottle, clinked it with Sha Jiu’s, and chugged half a bottle.
Meanwhile, A Yue on the platform, biting her lip, had her short skirt slide down amid her twisting body.
Chen Wujun leaned on the sofa, his gaze roaming continuously over A Yue’s body.
“Didn’t you say you didn’t want her? Come on, drink!” Sha Jiu grabbed Chen Wujun to drink with her.
……
“Such poor tolerance for alcohol…” Sha Jiu leaned on the sofa, mocking Chen Wujun who had collapsed to the side.
Kai Lun pulled back the curtain, glanced at Sha Jiu’s expression, and said to A Yue: “Put your clothes back on.”
“In his state, he can barely walk straight. Have A Yue take him back! Get two henchmen to follow behind, make sure nothing happens.” Sha Jiu said with a grin.
“I’ll arrange it!” Kai Lun nodded, pulled A Yue aside, and said: “If you want to live well in this Walled City, you need a good backer!”
Moments later, A Yue struggled to help Chen Wujun up and supported him as they walked out.
The two henchmen arranged by Kai Lun trailed behind.
Not far out of the dance hall, Chen Wujun stopped by the roadside, hands on his knees, bent over standing there.
A Yue gently patted Chen Wujun’s back. After a while, he vomited all over the ground, his eyes gaining some clarity. He fumbled several times before pulling out a cigarette, lit it, took two drags, and felt even more sober.
But when he looked up, he was drunk and bleary-eyed again, letting A Yue support him all the way home.
……
“Sister Sha Jiu, you’re so good to Jun Zai… even giving him a woman! Cultivate A Yue a bit, and she’d be a money tree!” Kai Lun said somewhat regretfully.
A Yue’s looks and figure were indeed top-tier in the Walled City.
With looks and figure like that, plenty of people would keep her with their wallets open; she wouldn’t end up in a dance hall.
A little cultivation, and she’d become the dance hall’s signature attraction, drawing plenty of guests.
“What money tree… they’re all women… even if the looks are a bit off, don’t those guys still come to look?” Sha Jiu sneered.
“He’s at that age when he’s full of vigor. Better not to cultivate her only for some beauty trap to seduce him away later! So let him get some experience now, and he won’t be greedy for this.”
“If that girl can latch onto him, it’d be good for her too.”
Sha Jiu also had the thought in mind: let Chen Wujun get some experience now to avoid him falling for a woman later.
Little Twelve fell because of some woman of unknown background; she had to collect the corpse herself, and even that was barely pieced together.
These arrangements were all thought up on the spot when she saw A Yue earlier.
Anyway, it cost her no effort; success or failure, she lost nothing.
“With me as his Senior Sister, he’s made a huge profit. I’m racking my brains for him!” Sha Jiu laughed heartily to Kai Lun.
“Tomorrow see if he wants her or not. If he does, arrange some easy work for the girl. If not, cultivate her into a platform star.”
“Men, when it’s delivered to their mouth, who doesn’t eat?” Kai Lun laughed, her eyes curving up.
Sha Jiu reached for a cigarette on the table, but her hand suddenly paused. She scanned the tabletop, then laughed and cursed:
“Damn, Jun Zai swiped my cigarettes and lighter!”
……
The next morning, before Chen Wujun even opened his eyes, he sensed something off beside him—like there was another person.
He reached out and touched—soft and yielding.
Sitting up, he saw a woman lying beside him. Her skin wasn’t very fair, but her features were delicate, her figure explosive, and she was now deep in sleep.
Only then did he remember what happened last night.
But he didn’t care; he got out of bed barefoot, found a bottle of water, and chugged it down, feeling a bit better.
Then he leaned by the window, lost in thought.
Last night he drank a case of beer with Sha Jiu and was nearly unconscious, but sobered up a bit after leaving the dance hall, let A Yue bring him back, then the drunkenness hit again.
After that, he brought A Yue back to his room.
He remembered fragments of what followed.
Anyway, summary: very soft!
“Drinking causes trouble!” Chen Wujun sighed by the window.
He originally had no intention of keeping a woman.
Kung fu and money were the most important right now.
But last night with the alcohol taking over, he kept her; now it wouldn’t be good to send her back to Sha Jiu—that would make him look small.
“Whatever, keep her for now!” Chen Wujun scratched his head. Senior Sister said 3000 a month—it was like having more lice wouldn’t itch, more debts wouldn’t worry him.
His monthly martial arts practice shortfall was over 20,000; he’d definitely need to find ways to make money, so these 3000 were negligible—just a matter of grabbing a bit more or less.
“Still got some money and crystals on hand. Settle down to practice martial arts first lately, then find ways to make money!”
“But for the long term, I need my own industry. Like Senior Sister—having your own industry means steady income, no more scrambling for money.”
Sorting out his thoughts, Chen Wujun turned his gaze back to A Yue.
In the morning light from the window, A Yue’s body was clearly displayed before him, breathtakingly beautiful, stirring him up again like a wild horse let loose.
After all, he was young; once he’d tasted it, he couldn’t help craving more.
Chen Wujun went to the bathroom to relieve himself, then returned to bed.
A Yue was startled awake by his return to bed, opened her eyes, was stunned for a moment before realizing where she was, then quickly looked at Chen Wujun.
Her voice soft and obedient: “You’re awake? You drank a lot last night. Anywhere uncomfortable? Shall I boil some instant noodles for you?”
“Where’s there instant noodles to eat? Better to eat you!”
Chen Wujun rolled over; he felt last night’s memories were unclear, so now he wanted to feel it properly.
……
“It’s already late, no need to rush!” Chen Wujun glanced at his watch—it was already 7 a.m.
He simply took A Yue downstairs to eat instant noodles.
“Add ham, sausage, and radish!” After telling the boss, Chen Wujun turned to look at A Yue sitting across from him and casually asked: “What’s your family situation?”
“My dad, me, and my little brother came here by boat. It was pouring rain that day; before we reached shore, the snakehead drove us into the sea. Many were swept away by the waves. We were lucky to make it ashore, but Dad’s arm broke.”
“We followed others and walked all night to reach the Walled City.”
“We needed to settle here, needed food; Dad’s arm was broken and needed medicine.” A Yue’s voice was very calm.
“When did you arrive?”
“Five days ago.”
Chen Wujun looked at the calm on A Yue’s face and felt this girl wasn’t as obedient as she seemed on the surface; deep down, she had tenacity.
But in the Walled City, who wasn’t like wild grass, full of tenacity?
Otherwise, they couldn’t survive.
“Where are you staying now?”
“In the corridor.” A Yue said softly.
Chen Wujun finished eating and gave her 3000 bucks.
“Settle your family, then go find Sister Kai Lun and have her arrange some work for you.”
“Not the dancing kind.”
A Yue took the money, somewhat at a loss, then bit her lip and accepted it.
Then Chen Wujun went to the martial arts school.
“You’re late today!” Senior Brother Li was alone in the martial arts school and said to Chen Wujun when he saw him.
“Some things delayed me…” Chen Wujun was a bit embarrassed; he’d just become a disciple yesterday and was late today.
Senior Sister misled me!
A Yue misled me!
As for himself… how could he be at fault?
After changing clothes, Chen Wujun began standing meditation, but soon frowned.
His condition today was much worse than usual, with a sense of fatigue.
Soon, he cast other thoughts aside and kept recalling yesterday’s feelings on the battlefield.
A fierce killing intent slowly emerged from him.
Though faint, it truly existed.
Not far away, Senior Brother Li’s hand paused. He’d noticed Chen Wujun’s poor state but hadn’t said anything.
He hadn’t expected that after Master’s pointer yesterday, he’d comprehend the battlefield killing aura and that invincible mentality so quickly.
Senior Brother Li found the tea in his cup tasteless, no different from steeping tree leaves in water.
