Chapter 62: Sha Jiu: Hand Over My Money
Inside the teahouse, Sister Sha Jiu grabbed both of Bing Ye’s hands, twisted them, and snapped them off.
Bing Ye let out another scream of agony.
Now with his eyes gouged out and hands crippled, he couldn’t stir up any more trouble.
“Sister Sha Jiu, Beng Zui She ran away!” Chen Wujun stood by the window looking down at the pedestrians below, at the shocked and panicked expressions on their faces.
Down on the street, many people were looking up, their gazes falling on Chen Wujun.
Chen Wujun was backlit, so they couldn’t make out his features, only that he was a man with a broad back.
Sister Sha Jiu replied indifferently upon hearing this:
“If he ran, he ran. He’s just a stray dog, not even caring about his own boss!”
The stray dog in Sister Sha Jiu’s mouth was actually an injured beast fighting for its life.
Though Beng Zui She was gravely wounded, his remaining strength was still formidable.
“You’ve got some courage, daring to target Beng Zui She.” Sister Sha Jiu’s gaze swept around the room. With Bing Ye crippled, his other henchmen were either lying on the ground or had run off like Beng Zui She.
“I wanted to test how far I’ve come, and see a master’s strength!” Chen Wujun smiled and said, savoring the earlier fight in his mind, feeling somewhat exhilarated.
Beng Zui She was, after all, a Harmony Stage master on the same level as Wen Long, with a Reinforced Reconstruction Magnetic Field over 65%, extremely sharp senses and reactions, immense strength and speed, and some parts of his body already beginning to mutate.
Even gravely wounded, with half his body immobile and unable to control his balance… he was still not to be trifled with.
His clash with him just now had been a matter of life and death; one misstep and he would’ve been killed.
Being able to exchange blows with him and force him to retreat was proof enough of his recent progress.
Moreover, after personally facing such a master, he felt no pressure at all when facing Resonance Stage fighters with over 40% Reinforced Reconstruction.
It could be said that clashing with Beng Zui She not only verified his strength but also spurred major growth in his heart.
“Ji Xiang, you can move in.” Sister Sha Jiu had already taken out her telephone and called the others.
“That old fool is asking for death, so let’s grant it to him!”
“A Hao, move in!”
After hanging up, Sister Sha Jiu glanced at the wreckage inside the teahouse and grabbed Bing Ye by the neck, dragging him outside.
“Take the man away!”
The group stuffed Bing Ye and his henchmen into the minivan. As everyone knew, a minivan could burst with a car full of people and hold plenty more.
Several vehicles then left under the gaze of countless people on the street.
After more than ten minutes, federal police who received the news finally arrived.
……
Ji Xiang sat in the passenger seat, hung up the phone, opened the car door and got out, looking up at the plaque above: Fusen Finance.
At the same time, he pulled a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.
Seven or eight people got out of the minivan behind, each holding knives and steel pipes.
“Move in!” Ji Xiang exhaled a puff of smoke into the night.
His henchmen behind him immediately charged inside with their knives.
Two youths squatting by the roadside in the distance saw this, exchanged a glance, and one got up to make a call from the nearby telephone booth.
The other stared nervously at Ji Xiang.
Ji Xiang merely glanced at them before walking into Fusen Finance.
After more than ten minutes, people began surging in from the street.
Among them, a man with long hair swaggered in with his group, only to see Bing Ye’s henchmen pinned to the ground, with Ji Xiang standing by the table looking at the accounts.
“Who the hell are you, causing trouble here? Do you know whose turf this is?” The long-haired man said with a hostile look while reaching into his crotch. When he pulled his hand out, it had a few unknown hairs on it, which he sniffed before tossing away in disgust.
“We’re from He Tu. This is personal grudge with Bing Ye. Later, my boss will talk to your eldest son.”
“Walled City vermin! Why aren’t you staying in the Walled City and come here…” The long-haired man said with some disdain.
“What did you say?” Ji Xiang’s henchmen all glared at him menacingly.
“Walled City vermin, stinking to high heaven every day! But I’m not discriminating; they call me Stinky Mouth too!” The long-haired man exuded a roguish vibe from head to toe.
“He Yong’s mad dog, huh? Your mouth sure stinks enough. How have you lived this long?” Ji Xiang immediately knew who this was.
He Yong’s mad dog was infamous for his foul mouth.
“Tsk tsk!” The mad dog sneered twice, his gaze sweeping around before landing back on Ji Xiang: “You say it’s personal grudge… fine, even if it’s personal. I won’t interfere here, just don’t cause any mess on my turf! Later, have your boss talk to our He Yong’s eldest son!”
After speaking, the mad dog headed out, instructing his henchman on the way: “Keep an eye on them. If they cause any trouble, call me, and I’ll bring people to chop them into eighteen pieces!”
“Boss, watch from outside or inside?” The henchman asked.
“Nonsense, outside of course! These guys are so fierce, I’m afraid you’ll get chopped into eighteen pieces! Even if not, you’ll reek of their stench.”
……
“Control everyone. Where’s the safe key? Open the safe for me.” At another loan shark company, A Hao stomped and crushed the palm of one of Bing Ye’s henchmen.
The man immediately howled in pain.
“I’ll open it, I’ll open it…”
Moments later, the safe opened, revealing stacks of cash inside, along with ledgers and IOUs.
As Sister Sha Jiu’s side wrapped up, Ji Xiang, A Hao, Hua Zai Rong, and Cun Bao all moved in with their people.
All sixteen loan shark companies were taken under control.
And the news naturally reached the ears of various gangs.
He Yi… He Yong… Four Greats… Four Lines… Guang Lian… These gangs, unsure what happened, all called Xin Ye.
Chen Wujun and Sister Sha Jiu had just returned to the financial company when Sister Sha Jiu received a call from Xin Ye.
“Sister Sha Jiu, what are you doing? You raided Old Ghost Bing’s loan shark companies, and now He Yi and the other gangs are calling me.”
“Xin Ye, we had a gambling duel with Li Dong. Old Ghost Bing didn’t know his place, colluded with Li Dong’s person to set up Jun Zai. I went after him, and he still dared to act all senior with me!” Sister Sha Jiu sat lazily on the table, cigarette in mouth.
“How’s Old Ghost Bing now? Where is he?” Xin Ye asked directly.
“I gouged his eyes, broke his limbs, but he’s still got half a breath.” Sister Sha Jiu said with a grin.
Hearing this, Xin Ye knew it couldn’t end peacefully.
After a moment of silence, he said: “Handle Old Ghost Bing yourself. What do you plan to do with those loan shark companies?”
“That’s Old Ghost Bing’s compensation to me!” Sister Sha Jiu said righteously.
“Sister Sha Jiu, Old Ghost Bing has ties with various gangs. By crippling him this time, you’ve offended quite a few. And Old Ghost Bing could run loan shark business on their turf not just by giving them a cut, but because he had no influence and threatened no one.”
“Sister Sha Jiu, you’re from He Tu. Taking those loan shark companies will make others think He Tu is stepping in. What do you think their reaction will be?” Xin Ye said over the phone.
Hearing this, Sister Sha Jiu’s face darkened, and she said in an unusually calm voice:
“Xin Ye, you can’t expect me to spit out what’s already in my mouth, right?”
“First deal with Old Ghost Bing, then come find me. We’ll go together to meet the spokespersons of the major gangs, discuss how to handle it, and come up with a solution that satisfies everyone.”
“Got it!” Sister Sha Jiu said, suppressing her inner rage.
After hanging up, Sister Sha Jiu couldn’t hold back her fury, jumped down, and kicked the table.
The entire table flew out, smashed into the wall, and shattered into a pile of broken wood.
“Damn old bastard!” Sister Sha Jiu bared her teeth, her face full of cold killing intent.
She took several deep breaths before slowly calming down.
Actually, this outcome was within her expectations.
Sixteen loan shark companies—she didn’t need them all, just the few closest to the Walled City to plant some flags outside at least.
She was just furious that Xin Ye, the old guy, always held her back. The other gangs hadn’t even spoken, and he’d already called to question her.
Without Xin Ye, she would’ve expanded her influence long ago.
Sister Sha Jiu turned to see Old Ghost Bing on the ground, walked over, and looked down at him: “Old Ghost Bing, got anything to say?”
Old Ghost Bing lay on the ground with a miserable laugh: “You’ll have this day too.”
“Xin Ye’s been prestigious his whole life, taking in a rebel like you… But do you think Xin Ye, who’s navigated jianghu his whole life and kept the Walled City from federal hands, wouldn’t know you’re a rebel? I’ll be waiting for you below.”
Clearly, he’d picked up on Sister Sha Jiu’s resentment toward Xin Ye.
“So much nonsense… I mean, hand over my money!” Sister Sha Jiu stomped on his broken wrist.
