Chapter 114:
Mia leaned in to look at the gemstone pendant on Meng Shuyou’s chest. “Mister Pei has good taste. The necklace suits you so well.”
Winnie sat down and fiddled with her makeup bag. “Let’s do makeup. We’ll be late soon.”
Mia nodded. “Yes, yes, hurry up and finish makeup, then go back to change clothes.”
The three girls crowded around one desk, doing makeup while chatting about school gossip, their laughter nonstop.
After applying foundation, they helped each other with facial painting.
Winnie had angel makeup today, while Mia was half angel half devil, with a larger painting area, but it was simple for Meng Shuyou. She replicated an online example one-to-one.
“Oh my god, this crack is so realistic.” Winnie exclaimed repeatedly. “The left side of the face is pure white and innocent, the right side dark and evil, two extremes, but they don’t clash. Yaoyao, you’re amazing!”
Mia admired her face in the mirror. “Baby, you could go be a makeup artist.”
Meng Shuyou shook her head with a smile. “My makeup skills are average. I’m just okay at painting.”
She usually only wore light makeup, and when busy, she often went to class bare-faced.
Winnie had a new idea. “Hey, in that case, if I can’t find a job after graduation, I could be a makeup artist. I know makeup and face painting.”
Mia smiled. “Yeah, you could try it.”
Meng Shuyou’s makeup was done with Winnie’s help, completely changing her usual style. Today she was trying cosplay as a devil princess.
Red contacts, dark eye makeup that made her eyes even more mysterious, with a few bloodstains below the outer corners like bleeding eyes, and stitched scars by the corners of her mouth, full of a broken vibe.
Winnie was very satisfied. “So beautiful, it’s practically art.”
Mia commented, “Such a big contrast. This pure face got totally revamped into a yandere villain.”
“Alright, alright, let’s go back to change clothes and meet up again.” Winnie quickly packed up the mess of cosmetics on the table.
“Mm.”
After they left, Meng Shuyou took a skirt out of the wardrobe and changed into it.
A red-and-black strapless plaid skirt with a cinched waist, irregular skirt hem embedded with lace trim, fluffy and spread out.
While putting on breast pasties, she inadvertently noticed a faint bite mark on her chest. She clearly remembered it wasn’t there before she went to sleep last night.
Certain restricted scenes flashed through her mind.
Wait, could it be… that wasn’t a dream?-
Eight o’clock, the evening party began.
Hall lights were dim, with upbeat music accompaniment.
Everyone wore all sorts of costumes, cosplaying different characters, letting loose and having fun.
Winnie pulled Meng Shuyou and Mia to take photos first. After dressing up so carefully for so long, the primary task was to get good shots.
Meng Shuyou was wearing something like this for the first time, and her classmates were amazed. Several girls crowded over to look her up and down.
“Elara, I almost didn’t recognize you. You’re so beautiful.”
“It’s mainly because you’re beautiful. Any makeup suits you.”
“Those boys’ eyes are practically glued to you.”
Winnie picked a few group photos they just took and posted them to Moments. “Men are all the same. They can’t look away from a beauty.”
The game segment hadn’t started yet, so they went to grab some food to fill their stomachs first.
There were desserts, butter bread, and juice drinks prepared on the table.
Meng Shuyou took a small piece of cake to eat. During that time, a few boys from other majors came over to strike up a conversation and ask for her contact info, but she refused all of them politely.
Winnie’s mobile phone rang at that moment. She looked down at it and answered the telephone call.
Zhao Hesong’s unserious voice came through. “Miss Winnie, you’re having quite a good time, huh.”
Winnie took a sip of juice. “Of course I’m happy. What do you want?”
Zhao Hesong made up a reason. “Just testing if you blocked me.”
“You saw my Moments, so how could I block you.” A sly glint passed through Winnie’s eyes. “But thanks for the reminder. I’ll put you in the block list right now.”
“Talk nicely if you have something to say. Don’t always pull the block trick.”
Just as Zhao Hesong finished speaking, he heard another unfamiliar man’s voice on the phone.
“Hello, I’m Eric, a freshman in the first-year fashion design major. I really like you. Can we be friends?”
His brows furrowed tightly. “Who’s confessing to you? Refuse him quick. Don’t agree. Hear me?”
Winnie snorted with laughter. “Why should I? What’s our relationship? You’re ordering me around now?”
“Wait there.”
Zhao Hesong immediately left the balcony and headed out, just in time to bump into Pei Yuzhou walking over. He asked, “Where are you going?”
“To catch someone.”
Hearing that, Winnie hurriedly stopped him. “Hey, don’t come for real. That’s not confessing to me. It’s confessing to Yaoyao.”
Zhao Hesong immediately relaxed. “Confessing to Meng Shuyou? Then it’s fine.”
No sooner had he said it than a cold gaze swept over from nearby.
Zhao Hesong turned his head, met someone’s gaze, coughed twice, and changed his tune. “Something’s up. Big trouble!”
Winnie was speechless. “What big trouble? What’s it got to do with you?”
Zhao Hesong didn’t want to meddle, but there was a big shot beside him. “Who is so blind? Is Meng Shuyou someone he can chase?”
