Chapter 71:
[PS: Not sure if this chapter can be released, will revise tomorrow, you can take a look at the author’s note at the end.]

In the mirror, the man’s tall and imposing figure held her firmly in control.
Her waist was very slim, one palm could cover half of it.
The visual impact from the difference in body size was intense.
The elevator ascended, “ding—”
The door automatically opened.
Pei Yuzhou didn’t care, his fingertips undid the buttons of her top, his movements not gentle at all, the pearl rhinestone at the collar swaying precariously.
Meng Shuyou felt sorry for the clothes, panting as she said: “It’s going to rip.”
A few thousand dollars per piece, only worn once.
Pei Yuzhou kissed her side neck, “Buy another if it’s ripped.”
The top slid to the floor.
Meng Shuyou felt a chill on her body and burrowed into his arms, “Back to the room…”
Desire surged in Pei Yuzhou’s eyes, he scooped her up by the waist and strode out of the elevator.
Entering the bedroom, he kicked the door shut.
Meng Shuyou didn’t even have time to look around the surroundings before being tossed onto the bed, her body sinking into the soft goose down bedding.
Pei Yuzhou pressed down over her, ruthlessly tearing off all her clothes and tossing them onto the floor.
Meng Shuyou lacked a sense of security and wanted to burrow into the quilt, but her wrist was gripped tightly.
Pei Yuzhou used one knee to part her legs, “What are you hiding from.”
.
“I…” Meng Shuyou closed her eyes, her voice low and hoarse with a slight tremble, “Do you have that ready?”
Pei Yuzhou took off his shirt, “Which one?”
Meng Shuyou knew he was doing it on purpose, bit her lip, and softly said those three words.
She paused, then murmured: “If not, I have some in my room.”
Pei Yuzhou raised an eyebrow slightly, “You bought them?”
“……Mm.”
She couldn’t exactly say it was a friend who gave them.
Pei Yuzhou leaned down to kiss the corner of her mouth, “Are you sure you bought the right ones?”
Meng Shuyou’s mind was muddled, “Should be… no problem…”
She had no experience and wasn’t sure.
Pei Yuzhou didn’t have the patience to wait for her, he reached with a long arm to pull open the bedside drawer, took out the packaging box and opened it.
Meng Shuyou opened her eyes slightly, her gaze hazy, she glanced once and her heart trembled, then turned her head away.
Her heartbeat went out of control.
He turned her cheek to face him, his throat dry and hoarse, “Cooperate a bit, hold me tight.”
“You…” Meng Shuyou was still a bit scared, “Will you go a little lighter?”
Pei Yuzhou brushed away the scattered hair by her ear, his fingertip scraping over her skin, “Mm.”
Meng Shuyou raised her hand to wrap around his neck.
Dense kissing sounds echoed in the room.
The man’s broad back muscles were thick and taut, shoulders tensed with force, arms veined and knotted, full of powerful strength.
Their bodies fit together tightly, foreheads beading with fine sweat.
Meng Shuyou’s eyes were moist and red, her nails scratching hard at his back, leaving several long scratches that added a wild tension.
Lamplight fell at the bedside, flickering endlessly.
Liar, he said he would go lighter.
She deeply felt that Mister Pei’s stamina was astonishingly good.
–
The next day.
Meng Shuyou was still in her dreams, hazily hearing someone call out.
“Miss Elara, are you awake?”
Her eyelids fluttered, slowly opening her eyes.
The window was blocked by dark curtains, the room dimly lit.
She was the only one on the bed, her mind blank for a while before slowly coming back, recalling everything from last night.
Her body ached terribly as soon as she moved.
The servant knocked again, “Miss Elara, it’s already noon, Mister instructed you to eat lunch before sleeping more.”
Meng Shuyou blanked out, already noon? Had she slept that long?
She propped herself up with her elbows to sit on the bed, the quilt sliding to her waist, her body bare, snow-white skin covered in ambiguous marks.
“Got it, I’ll get up right away.”
“Alright.” The servant left.
Meng Shuyou moved to the edge of the bed and casually grabbed one of Pei Yuzhou’s shirts to put on.
Barefoot on the floor, her legs weak and limp.
She slipped back to the next room to freshen up, changed into a T-shirt with a higher collar and casual trousers.
After it ended last night they had showered, Mister Pei carried her to wash, and she passed out directly.
How could someone have such good energy, barely sleeping at night yet able to go to work normally in the morning.
She tidied up and went downstairs.
The servant brought dishes from the kitchen.
Meng Shuyou sat at the dining table and first ladled a bowl of pigeon soup to drink.
The mobile phone on the table vibrated, a message coming in.
She freed one hand and pressed to light the screen to look.
From Mister Pei: ‘Awake yet?’
Meng Shuyou sipped her spoon and replied with one word: ‘Mm.’
Pei Yuzhou: ‘Feeling better?’
Meng Shuyou was a bit annoyed, ‘No.’
Her waist still hurt, thighs sore and swollen.
Last night she told him to stop and he completely ignored it.
Pei Yuzhou: ‘I’ll apply medicine for you tonight.’
Meng Shuyou’s cheeks warmed slightly, she refused: ‘I can do it myself.’
Pei Yuzhou: ‘Can you see it?’
Meng Shuyou’s ears reddened more, she put down the mobile phone and ignored him.

Manhattan Group top floor.
Zhao Hesong came to the office to find Pei Yuzhou, “There’s a problem with a medical equipment research and development, over a hundred million in funding lost, need more funds approved.”
For this he had specially flown back to America from domestic yesterday.
Pei Yuzhou sat at the desk browsing emails, his head slightly lowered, a nail scratch under the white shirt collar, not obvious from afar, “Bring it here for me to sign.”
Zhao Hesong thought he would at least ask for details, couldn’t help but be puzzled, “Brother Zhou, why are you so agreeable today?”
Pei Yuzhou didn’t want to hear his nonsense, “Sign or not?”
“Sign sign sign, of course sign.” Zhao Hesong opened the folder and pushed it to him, guessing: “You’re in a good mood today?”
Pei Yuzhou uncapped the fountain pen, his tone flat, “Keep gossiping and you go inspect that South Africa project.”
Zhao Hesong braced both hands on the desk, hurriedly stopping him, “Hey hey hey, talk nicely, don’t threaten people at every turn.”
Pei Yuzhou signed and gave the document back, “You can go.”
“I haven’t finished talking.” Zhao Hesong asked: “There’s a business banquet at the evening summit, you not going?”
Pei Yuzhou continued handling emails, “Business trip tomorrow, no time.”
“Alright then, I’m off.”
Zhao Hesong left the office and ran into Mark in the corridor, casually stopping him to ask: “Did your boss have some happy event today?”
Mark said: “I don’t know much about Mister’s private matters.”
Even if he knew, he wouldn’t say much.
Zhao Hesong raised a brow, “So it’s not business.”
He suddenly had a bold guess, could it be—success in romance?

[PS: Saying again the group entry requirements, there’s a reading duration or fan value threshold, this time only reviewing familiar readers from this book for entry.
Some darlings quietly read without voting or commenting, or only voted two or three times, I can’t recognize you, and some readers have IDs that are strings of numbers, my memory isn’t that good to remember them all, basically as long as you vote and interact frequently, I know most of them.
Group number again (242376354), will continue reviewing these two days, writing comments in the book review section will show reading duration, if long enough I’ll approve.
Also reminding again, don’t frequently leave and rejoin the group, after leaving you’re default not allowed back in, reviewing also takes time, hope everyone understands.]
