Chapter 16: Chef Lu
A: “Please wait a moment.”
“Sleep mode activated, defense level raised to A-class, capable of resisting Level One monsters. Please rest assured, Master.”
The lights inside the hovercar instantly dimmed. The warm yellow glow and a gentle warmth made one feel a bit dizzy and sleepy.
The conversation between Sang Chu and A made Mu Xue’s eyes widen even further. She even excitedly grabbed Sang Chu’s arm, “This is so amazing, Sang Xiao Chu, this means I can drive too!”
“That’s why I said it’s very easy.”
Mu Xue hung onto Sang Chu, “Tsk tsk, this is truly wonderful. I’m a car owner now too. How should I thank you, my dear Sang Xiao Chu classmate!”
After leading her to the lounge, Sang Chu heartlessly pulled her off herself, “Stop playing around, go to sleep quickly.”
“Aren’t you sleeping with me? Sang Xiao Chu, you’re so heartless!”
Mu Xue stared at Sang Chu with wide eyes. She smiled slightly, opened the door, and asked, “Are you sure you want me to sleep with you?”
Looking at the soft, large bed, Mu Xue stepped in first, “I’ve been thinking, now that we have a hovercar, we should have some private space. I won’t disturb your solitary world. Goodnight, my dear benefactor, goodnight, senior student!”
With that, she smiled charmingly and immediately closed the door, throwing herself onto the bed and wrapping herself into a cocoon with the quilt.
“I hope all of this is real and not a dream. If it is, I can go find Grandma. I wonder if she’s still alive?”
“Grandma, you must wait for me!”
Smelling the fragrant quilt, she drifted off to sleep in a daze.
The two people outside the door had no idea that Mu Xue had fallen asleep in an instant.
Lu Min Feng followed Sang Chu to another lounge, “Thank you. Let me know if you need anything.”
“You’re welcome. You helped us a lot during the apocalypse. Without you, Mu Xue and I would have had a hard time surviving at Zhao Feng’s base. By the way, what do you think about Mu Xue saying Zhao Feng came back from the dead?”
The two stood at the entrance of their respective rooms, facing each other.
Lu Min Feng frowned, “It’s very strange. I’m sure Xiao Xue shot him dead, but when Xiao Xue and I were escaping, he actually came out with people and chased us. It was less than a minute.”
“Do you have any thoughts?”
Looking at Sang Chu, Lu Min Feng said softly, “He almost defiled Mu Xue. I won’t let him go. However, the situation is unclear now, and staying put is the best option. Regarding building the base, if you trust me, you can leave it to me.
After finding what you need, we’ll need to find some people. I don’t know if everyone’s family is still around. To build a base, we need people. Why don’t we search for everyone’s relatives? It’s hard for just the three of us to survive in the apocalypse.”
After saying this, Lu Min Feng hesitated to look Sang Chu in the eye. He had a personal motive in this matter.
It’s been so long in the apocalypse, and survival is difficult. Family members might not be alive. Even if they are, they might not be found.
But with a hovercar, it’s different. At least when it comes to finding people, the safety factor is much higher.
Sang Chu couldn’t help but think of her brother. If possible, she would also like to find him, hoping he was still alive.
Sang Chu: “We need to find family. I also trust you. In the apocalypse, you and Xiao Xue are the people I can trust. I know you like Xiao Xue, but she might not have romantic feelings for you. I hope you can distinguish between important matters and personal feelings. Lu Min Feng looked at Sang Chu, who was serious, and couldn’t help but smile, “Don’t worry, I’ll handle my own affairs. In her heart, I’m probably just a senior student or brother with a good personality who took good care of you during the apocalypse. As for a further relationship, let’s let nature take its course. I don’t intend to force anything.”
“I understand. You should rest. Feel free to use anything in the room. Don’t be polite.”
“Okay, thank you.”
They each opened their room doors and went inside to rest.
Tu You had been squatting on Sang Chu’s shoulder, looking at her curiously: 【 You seem very wary of this Lu Min Feng? 】
Sang Chu walked into the bathroom, pressed the water button, and watched the water slowly fill the bathtub. She crossed her arms and leaned against the wall.

“This little ball is the hovercar?”
Lu Min Feng followed the instructions on the optical computer and placed the small ball on it. A hovercar icon then appeared in the optical computer.
Upon clicking it, he could see the specific appearance and functions of the hovercar.
The more he looked, the more excited he became, even picking up the laser gun and playing with it.
Time passed, and he was engrossed in fiddling with his space link until the hovercar stopped.
The world under the Blood Moon was eerie and dark, making it impossible to see anything clearly.
He stood up, walked out of the room, and went to the kitchen to prepare something to eat.
Sang Chu had also placed a lot of food in his space link. He decided to cook a meal and stir-fry a few dishes.
“It smells so good!!”
Mu Xue was groggy from sleep but suddenly smelled a delicious aroma. Like a zombie, she followed the scent to the kitchen and saw!
“Ah!!!”
“It’s stir-fried dishes and steamed rice!”
“Minced meat eggplant, braised pumpkin, chestnut chicken, and fish.”

“Can I eat it yet?”
