Chapter 28: Heading to New City
“Little Sister, you’re keeping this for yourself, aren’t you? Just give me a regular optical computer, take this back.”
As he spoke, he reached out to take it, but Sang Chu immediately refused:
“Brother, I’ve set self-destruct devices on all the optical computers. Once they leave the certified user’s hand and are activated by someone else, they’ll immediately self-detonate, and everything stored on the optical computer will be destroyed. If hovercars didn’t require storage on an optical computer once activated, I wouldn’t have put them there.”
Sang Jing Wen was startled by Sang Chu’s words and quickly stopped making any unnecessary movements.
Xiao Yi Fei said cheerfully, “Self-destruct devices are great! That way, you don’t have to worry about good things being stolen by others. Little Sister, can your self-destruct device be cracked by others?”
Sang Chu shook her head, “No, it’s set up when it’s certified.”
She didn’t explain clearly that the primary certifier for all hovercars, optical computers, and space links was her. Only she could reclaim these items. If any item was activated by someone else without her transferring it, all items would immediately enter a destruction program.
She suddenly remembered she hadn’t told anyone else and immediately sent out a group message, urging them not to let anyone else try them on or give them away.
Once the self-destruct device was activated, everything would turn to dust.
“Little Sister, how about we go to New City?”
Xiao Yi Fei said this somewhat cautiously. Sang Jing Wen looked at him and asked, “You want to go find your parents?”
“Yes, I don’t know if they survived, but they’re my family after all. I, I want to go see. We have to go find zombies anyway, so why not take the route through New City?”
New City was much farther than Shang Jing, but since the hovercar traveled very fast, they might arrive soon.

“Wow, Little Sister, do you have any more hovercars? Can Brother buy one from you?”
“Hovercars are limited, sorry.”
Xiao Yi Fei: “Then forget it, but if you get more, be sure to reserve a few for Brother. Later, when we kill zombies, I’ll save all the crystal cores for you!”
“Okay, I’ll remember that!”
“Absolutely, I, Xiao Yi Fei, keep my word!”
Sang Chu couldn’t help but smile at the corner of his mouth, “Brother Yi’s personality is quite different from my brother’s. I never expected you two to be good friends!”
Xiao Yi Fei sat up, slung an arm around Sang Jing Wen’s shoulder, and said in a friendly manner:
“Then you don’t know how cold and aloof your brother can be. We were in the same dormitory for three years. The first year, he barely paid attention to me. I followed him around and was rejected many times!”
Sang Chu laughed, “My brother is just like that, cold on the outside but warm on the inside. Alright, you two chat. There should still be food that Lu Min Feng made earlier in the kitchen. Just heat it up if you’re hungry. I’m going to take a nap. Call me if you find any zombies.”
Sang Jing Wen: “Okay, go ahead.”
Sang Chu took Tu You back to the room to continue cultivating with Spirit Stone Jade.
Xiao Yi Fei: “Your sister seems much easier to get along with than you!”
Sang Jing Wen: “Yes, Sang Sang was always good-natured. It’s just that after meeting again in the apocalypse, she’s become much more composed than before.”

Sang Jing Wen sighed helplessly, “I don’t have any Supernatural Abilities, so I can’t help her with many things. She even gave me the optical computer she prepared for herself. After our reunion, I just feel like I’m dragging her down.”

Tu You: “Of course there is. Not every zombie has a crystal core. If you kill all the zombies, what will you do without crystal cores?”
“This…”
Tu You: “I think you should choose to kill zombies that look like they’ve awakened Supernatural Abilities. That way, you can guarantee you’ll dig out a crystal core from every zombie you kill. The remaining ordinary zombies can be kept. Aren’t there many Bases? Once crystal cores are common, you can use crystal cores for trade. With so many supplies you have, are you afraid no one will buy things from you with crystal cores?”
Sang Chu fell silent after hearing this. Although the zombies were isolated outside the high walls, they still posed a significant threat to humans.
If they were kept as Tu You suggested, would they become uncontrollable in the future?
Seeing Sang Chu’s silence, Tu You continued, “Besides, you can travel between different Time-Spaces now. Who knows if some World has researched a cure for zombies? If you kill all the zombies now, and then one day you find a cure, won’t you feel cruel?”
