Chapter 91: Seed Market
“Before confirming he is a Divine Envoy, don’t put too much energy on him, lest it be noticed by other powers.” Qu Suxin finished speaking and tossed the tablet to the female secretary.
Since Wei He and Bao Bao’s identities were too sensitive, Lu Li had no intention of strolling around this bustling city.
Early the next morning, Lu Li took a car alone to the Seed Trade Center.
The Seed Trade Center was mainly for trading various Berry Seeds, including even some Rare Berry Seeds.
Of course, Rare Berry Seeds were rare, and most might have issues, like not germinating or being fakes; such situations could all occur.
Whether you could buy what you wanted here relied solely on eyesight, and what Lu Li lacked the least was precisely eyesight.
After entering the Seed Market, Lu Li quietly activated his Spiritual Vision Eye and slowly walked past stall after stall.
The Trade Market was divided into two areas: one was the Stall Area, where most seeds had no guarantees, and getting good seeds depended purely on personal strength.
The other area was the Shop Area, where the seeds basically had guarantees, and if there were problems, you could even return them for a refund.
The advantage was that it was relatively safe, the disadvantage was that it was expensive.
After strolling around the Stall Area, Lu Li helplessly shook his head and prepared to go to the Shop Area.
Although the Stall Area also had Rare Berry Seeds, most of those seeds were dead seeds; whoever bought them would be unlucky.
Just as Lu Li was about to leave the Stall Area, a dark-skinned middle-aged man called out to Lu Li, “Bro, you’re here looking for Rare Berry Seeds, right?”
Lu Li stopped and asked curiously, “Do you have Rare Berry Seeds?”
“Of course.” The middle-aged man nodded, then carefully took a small brocade pouch from his pocket.
After the middle-aged man opened the pouch, colorful seeds were displayed before Lu Li.
Lu Li squinted his eyes examining these colorful seeds; they all looked full of vitality, not a single one dead, but these seeds were not Berry Seeds.
Lu Li sneered, “What kind of seeds are these? I bet even you, boss, don’t recognize them, right?”
The middle-aged man smiled bitterly and nodded, then explained, “These are unknown seeds I’ve collected; each one is very rare, at least you can’t find out what they are online.”
“So…”
Lu Li looked at him curiously.
“100,000; as long as you’re willing to give me 100,000, all these seeds I’ve collected with great difficulty are yours.” The middle-aged man said.
“Forget it, you keep them for yourself.” Lu Li turned and walked away after speaking.
What a joke; these were just seeds of ordinary wild grasses and trees, they had some value, but that value absolutely couldn’t exceed 1,000.
Seeing Lu Li about to leave, the middle-aged man hurriedly shouted, “Wait, I have another kind of seed here that you’ve definitely never seen, and it’s definitely very precious.”
Hearing this, Lu Li stopped, then turned to look at the middle-aged man.
The middle-aged man gritted his teeth, then carefully took out a small box; after opening the exquisite box, inside was a small bottle.
The bottle filled with nutrient solution had two seeds soaking inside.
The middle-aged man said, “100,000; give me 100,000 and these two seeds are yours.”
At this moment, in Lu Li’s vision, the two seeds in the middle-aged man’s hand were constantly gathering the surrounding Grass-type Energy.
If it weren’t for these two seeds being completely different from Tiny Coconut, Lu Li would have suspected if they were Tiny Coconut.
“No problem.” Lu Li nodded decisively.
Seeing Lu Li nod so decisively, a glint flashed in the middle-aged man’s eyes, and he asked with a smile, “Little bro, do you recognize these two seeds?”
“No, but from your packaging, this thing should be quite valuable.” Lu Li answered calmly.
“Is that so? Looks like little bro knows his stuff; total 200,000, do you transfer directly or scan the code?” The middle-aged man laughed maliciously.
Hearing this, Lu Li’s facial expression instantly turned cold.
“You keep these two seeds for yourself then.” Lu Li turned to leave after speaking.
Started at 100,000, and seeing him agree to the transaction so decisively, it jumped another 100,000; did this guy really think he had to have these two seeds?
Fine, Lu Li admitted his mindset had indeed been guessed by the other side; he really was curious about these two seeds.
The middle-aged man wore a fawning smile, ingratiatingly grabbing Lu Li and saying, “Hey… wait, little bro, 100,000! 100,000 is enough.”
Lu Li pretended to be impatient as he snatched the box from the middle-aged man’s hand, then impatiently took out his phone, “Hurry up, wasting my time.”
“I’m just interested in this thing, not that I have to buy it; still want to rip me off, I can just walk away.” Lu Li grumbled in feigned dissatisfaction while scanning the code to pay.
After the money was transferred, Lu Li turned and headed to the Shop Area.
After checking multiple shops, Lu Li stopped in front of a shop named Togedemaru Seed Shop.
After entering the shop, Lu Li called the boss and directly asked, “Do you have Rare Berry Seeds for sale here?”
The balding boss answered impatiently, “No; if you want precious Berry Seeds, I suggest you go to the stalls to gamble; which spendthrift would sell Berry Seeds? If you really have such good stuff, wouldn’t it be better to plant it secretly yourself?”
Lu Li: “What you said makes so much sense, I am speechless.”
Lu Li left the Seed Market with a slightly dark facial expression.
This place was one he found online; he’d heard someone bought Rare Berry Seeds here, so he came specifically.
Turns out that was damn advertising! And left by scammers at that.
But thinking about it, it made sense; no family would mind having too many of their own Rare Berries. If you really had Rare Berry Seeds, wouldn’t nurturing them at home be better?
The reason the Yu Family didn’t plant Sand Scale Fruit was because their foundation was still shallow, so they could only give the seeds to the maternal family or use them as favors.
But the problem was, as Secret Realm guardians, they weren’t short on Sand Scale Fruit at all.
After leaving the Seed Market, Lu Li stood roadside waiting for the car, impassively watching the passing vehicles.
“Daring to follow me? Does that guy really plan to make a move in the city?” Lu Li wondered curiously in his mind.
Lu Li discovered that the middle-aged man actually planned to tail him; higher-end nurseries didn’t have such people, but coming to a Seed Market, he ran into this type.
“Sure enough, in this world, as soon as it involves a bit of darkness, trouble comes knocking.” Lu Li thought to himself.
Whether it was the previous Golden Many Auction House or the Fairy Nursery, they were all legitimate businesses, not some Grey Area, so even if you brought out something of major value, you wouldn’t be targeted, or rather, they wouldn’t risk their own reputation for that bit of benefit.
But people in this Grey Area were different; they didn’t have such upright worldviews.
