Chapter 37: Target
“Chang Ning, your analysis is very correct. If the three of us going back really wouldn’t help much with the Red and Blue Teams’ battle situation, then let’s stay.”
Chen Guotao listened to Chang Ning’s analysis and combined it with the intelligence he had gathered himself. He knew Chang Ning was right—going back would do more harm than good. Staying in the Blue Team’s Territory would allow them to better play their role.
“I also agree that we should stay.”
Xiao Zhuang cheered on the side. If Chang Ning and Chen Guotao had reached their conclusion through careful analysis, Xiao Zhuang simply didn’t want to go back.
Because if they went back, there would be nothing for them to do. They could only stay with Miao Lian at the Command Post, acting as Miao Lian’s guards.

Just like this Trace Chang Ning had just found.
It was a pair of Footprints. The Southeast Military Region was in the south of the motherland, with soft soil, especially after a spring rain a few days ago—Footprints left accidentally were clearly visible.
Wolf Fang had no shortage of experts in Reconnaissance and Counter-reconnaissance. This clear pair of Footprints was enough for Gao Zhong Dui and them to find Chang Ning.
Chang Ning carefully swept the Footprints flat with Branches, then found some dry twigs and fallen leaves to cover the spot.
