Chapter 10: This Flavor Of Nutrient Solution Tastes Great!
Big Willow thought about it and realized that was indeed the case.
It nodded subconsciously.
The person and the tree chatted as they walked into the Nutrient Solution Shopping Center.
There were far more people here than at the Registration Center.
Ge Bai looked around and found a Sales Assistant who seemed relatively free.
She pointed at Big Willow on her shoulder. “Hello, what kind of Nutrient Solution is suitable for Weeping Ancient Willow?”
The Sales Assistant quickly took out trial packs of “Basic Tree Nutrient Solution” and “Universal Tree Seedling Nutrient Solution” in small bottles.
She led Ge Bai to the rest area and sat down.
“Spirit Plants can try drinking these on site.”
Hearing the Sales Assistant say this, Big Willow directly jumped from Ge Bai’s shoulder onto the table.
It extended its root into the mouth of the “Basic Tree Nutrient Solution” bottle. The trial pack wasn’t large, only about five milliliters.
After Big Willow drank it down in two gulps, it said to Ge Bai.
“It’s okay, but not as good as the one the Researcher brought me last time.”
The Sales Assistant couldn’t hear these words. From her perspective, she could only hear Big Willow muttering “Liu Gu, Liu Gu.”
Ge Bai pursed her lips. Big Willow was quite picky. Who knew what kind of experimental product the Researcher gave it.
But after all, it was her own child, so appeasing it was the priority.
She thought for a moment and casually placated it.
“It’s fine. Make do with it for now. We’ll go to the Research Institute in a couple of days and ask if they have a custom version suitable for you.”
Big Willow nodded and extended its root into the “Universal Tree Seedling Nutrient Solution” again.
This time, it only took one sip before retracting its root and disdainfully shaking it off.
“No, this tastes awful. It’s bland and flat, not even as good as plain water.”
The Sales Assistant hadn’t expected Big Willow’s reaction to be so strong and felt somewhat embarrassed.
Ge Bai looked at her and asked, “Do seedling Nutrient Solutions have less Spiritual Power Content than regular Nutrient Solutions?”
“Ah, yes. Generally, considering that young Spirit Plant bodies have lower Spiritual Power needs, to ensure they absorb it smoothly, this Nutrient Solution has slightly less Spiritual Power Content than the regular version.”
“But this is also the Nutrient Solution most suitable for young Spirit Plant bodies after research.”
The Sales Assistant explained.
She thought to herself: “This this this, it’s really not that my Nutrient Solution has any issue.”
Ge Bai nodded but didn’t explain to her that her Big Willow wasn’t a young body.
However, Little Peach was a young body.
Thinking of this, Ge Bai summoned Little Peach from her Spiritual Consciousness Space again.
Three times in one hour! Wasn’t it supposed to let it sleep peacefully???
As soon as Little Peach came out, it widened its eyes in a puffy, fuming state.
Hmm, even cuter! A milk-fierce peach!
Ge Bai couldn’t help but grin like an auntie at Little Peach and quickly gently stroked its fuzz.
She softly changed the subject, not mentioning at all the promise to let it sleep peacefully.
“Little Peach, are you hungry? Come try if this tastes good. We’ll sleep after drinking.”
While speaking, she held the “Universal Tree Seedling Nutrient Solution” that Big Willow hadn’t liked to Little Peach’s side.
Little Peach was indeed still too small, with limited brain capacity.
Seeing something to drink, it quickly forgot about sleeping.
The mini Nutrient Solution bottle was half as tall as the peach. It extended two leaves, hugged the bottle, and stretched out a branch into it.
Just like a little cub drinking milk, incredibly cute.
Little Peach drank much slower than Big Willow but never stopped, hugging the bottle and refusing to let go.
Seeing this, Ge Bai still looked at the Sales Assistant and asked.
“Do you have Nutrient Solution specifically for Golden Powder Peach Demon Tree young bodies?”
The Sales Assistant promptly stood up and took another bottle of “Rosaceae Fruit Tree Seedling Nutrient Solution” from the counter.
Ge Bai reached out and tapped Little Peach’s head, signaling it to try this one.
Little Peach blankly looked up, glanced at the other bottle, then at the one in its arms.
Reluctantly, it switched to taste the new one.
But after a few sips, it hugged the original bottle again and wouldn’t let go no matter what.
Ge Bai didn’t force it. The most important thing was that Little Peach liked it.
After finishing the trial pack, Little Peach let out a satisfied burp.
Ge Bai picked it up again, gently rubbed it for a while, and said indulgently.
“Alright, alright, no more disturbing you this time. Go back to sleep.”
Little Peach immediately turned into a beam of light and drilled into Ge Bai’s forehead.
“We’ll take five bottles of the Universal Seedling version first.”
Ge Bai calculated that a Spirit Plant generally consumed one bottle of Nutrient Solution per week, so she prepared for a month’s supply first.
Of course, if adding Training volume, Nutrient Solution consumption would be unlimited.
She didn’t count on Little Peach for Training. That would have to rely on Big Willow.
After finishing the high school Special Recruitment matters this month, she’d come back to restock for Little Peach.
For now, just let it drink for fun. She had to admit, she was spoiling the child.
Seeing Ge Bai so decisive, the Sales Assistant happily fetched and packed the goods.
After all, Nutrient Solution wasn’t cheap—one bottle cost around a thousand Federal Currency, and normally selling two or three per order was good.
This customer had other Spirit Plants, so definitely more than five bottles.
“Besides ‘Basic Tree Nutrient Solution’, are there other types suitable for Weeping Ancient Willow?”
The Sales Assistant hesitated a bit.
“Generally, tree-type Ornamental Spirit Plants use this kind of…”
Ge Bai interrupted her.
She couldn’t mention “ornamental”—Big Willow would get unhappy. It was now a Weeping Ancient Willow that could use Skills.
“Not Ornamental Spirit Plants. Like the Nutrient Solution for Auxiliary Spirit Plants.”
Ge Bai recalled that the System had mentioned Big Willow’s initial Attribute was Wind Element.
“If it’s for Auxiliary Spirit Plants, regular Nutrient Solutions are divided by Attribute.”
That matched up.
The Sales Assistant didn’t insist, after all, what kind of Nutrient Solution to buy was the customer’s choice.
Nutrient Solutions containing special Attribute Spiritual Power were also suitable for all Spirit Plants.
They were just not cost-effective, plus it depended on whether the Spirit Plant liked them.
She continued introducing, “There are nine series: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Metal, Lightning, Life, Darkness, and Space-Time Nutrient Solutions.”
“Mainly, the Spiritual Power contained in the Nutrient Solution has these Attributes.”
“They’re largely the same as Pet Beast Nutrient Solutions used by Beast Tamers.”
“Spirit Planters generally have less demand for this type of Nutrient Solution.”
“And the price is higher.”
Ge Bai didn’t want to directly ask for Wind Element Spiritual Power Nutrient Solution.
“How many kinds do you have here? Can you give me some trial packs?”
The Sales Assistant pondered for a moment, looking somewhat troubled.
Ge Bai pushed further.
“I just want to try them. Whether it’s regular or special Nutrient Solution, I’ll buy 30 bottles at once this time.”
This was a big customer!
The Sales Assistant gritted her teeth, stood up, and led Ge Bai to another place.
“Alright, please follow me to the VIP Room to wait.”
The VIP Room wasn’t large, but the environment was elegant, with only a small sofa set and coffee table.
Ge Bai and Big Willow hadn’t waited long in the VIP Room when the Sales Assistant carried over a leather Box.
After opening it, inside were trial packs of nine kinds of special Spiritual Power Nutrient Solutions.
Each bottle was smaller than the “Basic Tree Nutrient Solution” trial pack, probably only 3 milliliters.
The Sales Assistant opened the Nutrient Solutions and arranged them in a row on the coffee table.
Big Willow jumped onto the coffee table and tried them one by one.
It at least touched the Metal Element and Life Element ones, but didn’t even touch the Darkness or Fire ones.
In the end, it hugged the Wind Element bottle and drank it all in one go.
Ge Bai narrowed her eyes and calculated inwardly.
This System had something to it. She’d have to figure it out properly when she got back and dig more out of the System.
Big Willow had also tasted Metal Element and Life Element. Would the next stage develop in that direction?
Ge Bai wasn’t sure and planned to find a chance to interrogate the System when she got back.
“Ten bottles of Wind Element, three of Metal Element, three of Life Element, fourteen regular ones—thirty bottles total.”
She had already decided: before high school Special Recruitment, give Big Willow an intensive training session.
