After hearing Zeng Yingying’s words, Fan Ren was somewhat speechless.
If Zeng Yingying went ahead and handled these matters directly, could he really grab her back and scold her harshly?
Now that she had run to him and said all this, he didn’t know how to respond for a moment.
It wasn’t that he still had lingering feelings for Xu Min. Back when they graduated from university, there was no relationship between the two anymore.

Liu Jun’s head immediately lifted even higher.
“General Manager Fan, my apologies for the rudeness. Please come this way.”
Liu Jianhua was about to say something but, remembering they had guests today, changed his words and led the group inside.
Along the way, Fan Ren looked at the interior decoration. It didn’t seem particularly outstanding, but the marble floors occasionally embedded with gemstones of various colors, and the antique-style ornaments scattered in the house, all showed the Liu Family’s extraordinary status.
The group soon arrived in a tea room. After host and guests were seated, the middle-aged butler appeared again and silently began handling the tea set.
Liu Jianhua politely took out a pack of cigarettes and asked: “Does General Manager Fan smoke?”
Fan Ren didn’t refuse, reaching out with both hands to take one himself. Liu Jun over there wasn’t polite either and took one too. The two lit up.
At this moment, the tea in the butler’s hands was ready.

Fan Ren quickly nodded: “I was interested in this field back in school. Just got lucky. General Manager Liu, don’t put a high hat on me. I heard from Liu Jun that Jianxin Electronics was just an ordinary electronics processing plant before you took over. It’s all thanks to you developing it to its current scale.”
“Not at all.”
Another round of mutual flattery followed. Fan Ren was a bit impatient but still went along with the rhythm since it was Liu Jun’s father.
“Dad, where’s Liu Neng? Why isn’t he here?”
Liu Jun interrupted their conversation at this point. They had come back today to discuss Liu Neng’s marriage, yet the main person wasn’t present.
Liu Jianhua’s face darkened, and he glared irritably at this son whom he saw as utterly rebellious.
“I’ll be frank with you, and General Manager Fan as well.”
With that, Liu Jianhua recounted the matter of Ye Hongzhi coming to the door, not even hiding the part about gifting the Deli Linhai Branch building.
Hearing all this, Liu Jun realized there was another motive for coming back today, and his face immediately darkened.
Fan Ren, however, greatly admired Liu Jianhua’s handling.
This was one of the reasons the other man had steadily developed Jianxin Electronics to its current state.
He didn’t act smart on his own. In this matter, he purely acted as a middleman, even openly stating the intermediary fee proposed by Ye Hongzhi without hiding it from Fan Ren.
If it were some people relying on their elder status, most would first coax Fan Ren to the negotiation table.
But Liu Jianhua made no suggestions, didn’t say things like ‘better to resolve grudges than tie knots’ to persuade, and simply played his role as middleman.
Thinking it over, Fan Ren spoke before Liu Jun: “Just follow Uncle Liu’s arrangement.”
