Chapter 79: Did You Give Away Your First Kiss Last Night?
Ye Chuxiao became even more embarrassed by everyone’s laughter, her face flushed red, wishing she could disappear into a crack in the ground.
Lu Ziyi, being considerate of Ye Chuxiao, apologized and said, “Please make way, I’ll take Xiaoxiao upstairs.”
“Alright, alright! Ziyi and Xiaoxiao, get some good rest!”
Everyone cleared a path for Lu Ziyi. He continued to carry Ye Chuxiao in his arms towards the corridor.
Ye Chuxiao shyly said, “Senior Student Ziyi, please put me down and let me walk myself.” Although her legs felt weak and she would be lightheaded if she walked, it was still better than being carried upstairs by Senior Student Ziyi in front of everyone.
“It’s fine, Xiaoxiao isn’t heavy,” Lu Ziyi said, walking steadily up the stairs.
When they reached the second floor, Zhao Congrui and Lin Houchun had been waiting for a while. They teased him a bit more there before following Lu Ziyi upstairs.
At Ye Chuxiao’s room door, Lin Houchun thoughtfully helped open it. Lu Ziyi carried Ye Chuxiao into the room and placed her on the sofa.
“Thank you, Senior Student Ziyi!” Ye Chuxiao could hardly bear to look at Lu Ziyi, let alone with Brother Congrui and Brother Hou Chun nearby.
“You’re welcome,” Zhao Congrui replied. “Ziyi saved up all his strength just to carry Xiaoxiao!”
Ye Chuxiao felt even more mortified. Her pretty cheeks were as red as if they had been rouged, looking delicate and alluring.
Lu Ziyi calmly asked, “Xiaoxiao, did you sleep well last night? Do you want to catch up on some sleep?”
“No need…” Ye Chuxiao shyly bit her lip. Senior Student Ziyi, I’m not just being polite; last night, nestled in your arms, I slept so soundly!
Ye Chuxiao said sheepishly, “I’ll just wash my face, no need to sleep.”
“Then later, I’ll take Xiaoxiao for a walk around town.”
“Okay,” Ye Chuxiao agreed.
Lu Ziyi left Ye Chuxiao’s room, with Zhao Congrui and Lin Houchun following closely behind, one on each side of Lu Ziyi.
Zhao Congrui chuckled and asked in a low voice, “Ziyi, did you give her your first kiss last night?”
Lin Houchun shot Zhao Congrui a look. Can you be a little more innocent?
“Ziyi,” Lin Houchun also chimed in with gossip, “Did you confess your feelings to Xiaoxiao last night? Did she agree?”
Lu Ziyi looked indifferent and didn’t respond. His room was next door. As soon as he entered, he blocked the gossiping duo outside and then closed the door.
“Hey, Ziyi!” Zhao Congrui and Lin Houchun knocked on the door. Lu Ziyi ignored them. With no success, they could only give up.
About ten minutes later, Lu Ziyi went to find Ye Chuxiao. She had already finished washing up and changed into a white knee-length dress, wearing a pair of light blue canvas shoes. She looked like a girl next door, very pure.
Ye Chuxiao was waiting in the corridor. Upon seeing Lu Ziyi approach, she still felt shy, lowering her head slightly and tucking her hair behind her ear. She greeted him, “Senior Student Ziyi!”
“Let’s go, Xiaoxiao,” Lu Ziyi said gently. “At home, we usually practice martial arts before breakfast. I’ll take you to see the town first.”
“Mhm,” Ye Chuxiao had only seen a general view of the town from the rooftop last night, and she was very curious about what the town truly looked like.
When they reached the second floor, they saw Zhao Congrui and Lin Houchun waiting in the corridor again.
“Ziyi, we’re going to town too!” These two troublesome third wheels happily followed. Lu Ziyi wouldn’t tell them the answers, so they had to find the truth themselves!
Lu Ziyi glanced at the two tag-alongs but didn’t object.
