Chapter 13: Awooo Huge!
“Mi wu~”
The cat female comfortably closed her eyes and meowed, her ears on top of her head erecting and then turning into airplane ears with Su Ran’s stroking action.
If she could really turn into a cat, this should be an orange tabby cat with a body entirely golden yellow.
Su Ran thought, looking at the cat person’s golden hair with faint patterns on her head.
Those patterns looked exactly the same as an orange tabby cat.
How about calling her Xiao Ju!
With that thought, she blurted out: “Xiao Ju!”
“Wu?”
Hearing the sound, the little female doubtfully raised her head to look at Su Ran, her golden eyes wide and round, her gaze seeming to say: “Did you just speak?”
Su Ran was melted by her cute appearance; this was exactly the same as the reaction of the cat she used to raise before.
Under the little female’s gaze, she called again: “Xiao Ju!”
The little female’s ears “shua” erected!
Her tail, which had been shaking back and forth, also tensed at the tip, her gaze tightly fixed on Su Ran, the curiosity in her eyes almost overflowing: “Mi wu~ Mi wu~”
She meowed twice at Su Ran, seeming to want to hear it again.
So Su Ran called out to her again: “Xiao Ju!”
“Wu~” The cat person tilted her head, her lips moved, and after a few seconds, she suddenly spoke to Su Ran:
“Ao ju!”
The soft voice with a hint of babyish tone sounded like a thunderbolt in Su Ran’s ears!
She looked shocked at the little female still looking at her with doubt, and only after a while did she realize that this little cat person was imitating her speech.
She hurriedly nodded heavily, then pointed her finger at the cat female expectantly: “Xiao~ Ju~”
The little female’s ears twitched, she looked at Su Ran’s finger movement, then tentatively pointed at herself: “Ao~ ju, Ju?”
“Yes, yes, Xiao~ Ju~”
Su Ran nodded repeatedly in excitement, repeating the cat female’s name once more.
The little cat person’s gaze was tightly fixed on Su Ran’s lips, and only after Su Ran finished speaking for a while did she forcefully point at herself and make a crisp sound:
“Xiao Ju!”
“Mi wu~ Mi wu! Xiao Ju!”
After getting Su Ran’s heavy nod, the little orange cat excitedly let out a series of “Mi wu” sounds. Su Ran struck while the iron was hot and immediately pointed at herself with her finger when Xiao Ju looked at her: “Su~ Ran~”
Hearing a different tone, Xiao Ju immediately stopped her excited actions.
It seemed she also realized Su Ran was teaching her her language, so this time she watched Su Ran’s mouth shape when speaking extra seriously.
“Hu, Ran~”
“Su~ Ran?”
The pronunciation of “Su” seemed a bit difficult for the little orange cat; after repeating for a while without finding the correct pronunciation, the little orange cat started to get a bit anxious.
Su Ran hurriedly rubbed the top of her head to comfort her, then pointed at herself and changed her words: “Ran~ Ran~”
This was much easier for the little orange cat.
She perked up her ears to listen to the tone Su Ran made, her golden tail behind her swayed slowly, opened her mouth: “Ran Ran, Ran Ran!”
After seeing Su Ran’s affirmative nod, the little orange cat happily raised her tail, mumbling continuously: “Ran Ran, Xiao Ju, Hu Ran…”
Occasionally unable to hold back happy “Mi wu mi wu” meows.
Compared to the little orange cat’s joy at learning this outsider’s language, Su Ran’s heart was even more excited.
For her now, the hardest place to survive in this world was the language barrier.
Since arriving at this settlement inhabited by beastmen of different races, the way the beastmen communicated seemed to rely more on emotion, expressions, and body language.
But she suddenly discovered that although she didn’t understand the way beastmen communicated with each other, she could make the beastmen learn her language.
She had decided that if she couldn’t find a way back, she would live in this settlement forever. As long as the werewolf didn’t drive her away, she would absolutely not leave on her own.
So she must teach the beastmen here to speak human language!
Su Ran turned to look at Xiao Ju sitting beside her, who was gently shaking her arm with a small hand because she had been thinking too long, and made up her mind.
Starting with the little orange cat in front of her and the werewolf living together!

When the werewolf returned, Su Ran had already finished the brief teaching.
She was afraid that teaching too fast at once would make Xiao Ju unable to understand what she learned. So that afternoon, she only taught Xiao Ju each other’s names and the four words water and nest.
When the werewolf flew into the nest, he saw the cat female lying contentedly on Su Ran’s lap, enjoying rubbing the cat ears on top of her head against Su Ran’s palm.
The werewolf seemed stunned for a moment when he saw this scene.
After seeing the situation in the nest clearly, he immediately threw the thing in his hand at the bird’s nest entrance and quickly walked to Su Ran and Xiao Ju while howling.
He pulled Xiao Ju away, lowered his head aggressively at the little orange cat, making a series of low “wu wu” sounds, the noise just like that of a domestic dog when angry.
And the unsuspecting Xiao Ju with closed eyes was startled by the werewolf’s sudden action, her fur on her head and tail all fluffed up.
After seeing the werewolf, in just a few seconds she seemed to understand what happened and immediately hissed lowly at the werewolf without backing down!
Why are they about to fight?!
Su Ran looked dazed at the scene, Xiao Ju is a girl! The werewolf clearly didn’t object to girls getting close to her before!
Seeing the atmosphere between the two beastmen growing more tense, they even assumed arched-back retreating attack poses.
Su Ran hurriedly stood up and inserted herself between the two!
She gripped the werewolf’s claws that had tensed at the fingertips, then hugged the werewolf’s body, mumbling: “It’s okay, don’t fight… Don’t be mean to girls~”
She busily comforted the werewolf in front of her, patting his solid tense back one moment, touching the broken hair growing to his neck the next.
After a good while, she felt the werewolf’s tense body gradually relax.
She slowly let go, just about to turn to check on Xiao Ju behind her, but before she could withdraw her hand, the werewolf hugged her back.
“Ao wu~ Ao wu~ Ao ao~”
The werewolf grabbed her arm, his face full of dissatisfaction. Even though Su Ran couldn’t understand what the werewolf was saying, she could guess he was complaining about her and Xiao Ju’s overly intimate behavior.
But this was just intimacy between same sexes!
Su Ran really didn’t understand where the werewolf’s anger came from and could only let the werewolf lick her face once with his tongue.
The werewolf’s repeated licking made her feel like he wanted to lick off the scent of other beastmen from her body!
