Chapter 76: “ran Ran And Gray, Together!”
At that moment, Su Ran’s right hand was suddenly grasped by a large hand.
Then she felt Grey’s tall body slowly leaning in from behind. Two seconds later, a fluffy head rested on her shoulder, gently rubbing against it:
“Ran Ran, and Grey, together…”
“Grey hunting, find wild fruit, find seafood, live in bird’s nest, no, no…”
It struggled for half a day but still couldn’t find a suitable word to express what it wanted to say.
Su Ran chuckled lightly and turned her head to look at its green eyes:
“Not separate.”
“Wu?”
Grey’s chin on Su Ran’s shoulder moved a bit; it still couldn’t understand the meaning of the word “separate.”
Su Ran didn’t explain, but came out from the werewolf’s embrace, turned around, and looked at it seriously: “Grey, I want to build a house on the ground.”
The werewolf could already understand the meaning of this sentence.
Upon hearing Su Ran say this again, its tail, which had been swaying slightly behind it, stopped abruptly with a “whoosh!”
In its green eyes, the black pupils dilated slightly, flashing with a hint of panic.
It seemed not to understand why, after it had done so much and found so many things Su Ran liked, she still didn’t want to be with it.
Su Ran clearly saw the helplessness at the bottom of the werewolf’s eyes.
“Wu~ Ran Ran, no no…”
Grey anxiously spoke up, seeming completely at a loss for what to do, only able to grip Su Ran’s hand tightly, its eye rims starting to redden uncontrollably.
Seeing it like this, Su Ran couldn’t help but laugh; she quickly explained to it:
“Grey, we’ll live together oh~”
“Wu~~ no no…”
The werewolf didn’t even hear Su Ran’s words clearly before starting to shake its head vigorously.
Su Ran watched its ears on top of its head bouncing up and down with the shaking motion and finally couldn’t help laughing out loud:
“House, Grey, and Su Ran live in the house together oh~”
“No no…?”
As soon as Su Ran’s words fell, Grey instinctively started shaking its head again, but after just a slight movement, it suddenly sensed something was off!
It instantly stopped its repeated refusals, stared blankly up at Su Ran, its eyes full of uncertainty.
“Wu? Ran Ran?”
Its fluffy ears on top of its head twitched back and forth, then it suddenly widened its eyes looking at Su Ran, joy surging in its eyes like a tide.
Especially when meeting Su Ran’s eyes with their affirming smile, its eyes lit up instantly:
“Ran Ran!”
It called out loudly, stretched out its arm, and pulled Su Ran into its embrace.
“Ran Ran and Grey, together!”
It held Su Ran, excitedly kissing nonstop, its whole wolf body seemingly bubbling with happiness.
Su Ran helplessly let the big grey wolf, who was completely silly with joy, hold and kiss and nuzzle her for a good while.
She looked at the werewolf in front of her, who was thrilled, but couldn’t help thinking of what it had just said.
It said: “Ran Ran, and Grey, together…”
“Grey hunting, find wild fruit, find seafood, live in bird’s nest, not separate.”
Aaaahhhh!!!!!
She shouldn’t have softened her heart!
Su Ran glared fiercely at Grey, who was following beside her with a silly grin, and finally, unable to hold back her anger, reached out and yanked its tail hard.
But her strength could only pluck a bit of fur from that thick big tail, which made her even angrier, so she pinched it twice more to vent.
Grey had no reaction to her inexplicable action and even thought she was interested in its tail, so it proactively offered it over.
As a result, it got swatted away by Su Ran with a slap.
After washing up, Su Ran returned to the front of the three “small mountains” by the riverside and began to worry.
Grey had gathered so much prey and wild fruit, seafood, and flowers that Su Ran liked, all just to let Su Ran know that being with it, she wouldn’t go hungry, and it would do its utmost to find everything she wanted and liked.
It would be fake to say she wasn’t moved.
Especially since all these things were gathered in just one night.
Then this silly wolf by her side, how many times had it gone back and forth from the forest in that one night, and run to how many places.
Su Ran turned her head to look at Grey beside her, who followed her step by step, and couldn’t help laughing.
She beckoned to it with her finger: “Grey, come here.”
“Wu?”
Grey doubtfully bent down and leaned close to her.
The next second, its lips were gently kissed.
“Ao wu~ Ran Ran~”
Unexpectedly receiving a kiss, its eyes sparkled as it looked at Su Ran, its tail behind it erecting and shaking nonstop like a dog’s.
Su Ran curved her lips and turned her gaze back to the three small mountains in front.
As she looked, the smile at the corner of her mouth suddenly wasn’t so strong anymore.
With so much stuff, how long would it take her to process it all!
The weather was already hot; the wild fruit was okay and could last a day or two.
But that huge pile of completely dead prey, if not processed in time, would probably stink by tomorrow morning.
Not to mention the seafood that wouldn’t keep even longer!
These things should clearly count as “gifts” from Grey to her, but why had her workload increased instead…
“Ran Ran, roast meat for breakfast wu?”
Seeing Su Ran staring at that meat mountain, Grey couldn’t help but lean its head to the side of her face and ask.
Its belly was already rumbling.
Su Ran came back to her senses and naturally heard the extremely loud stomach growl from Grey’s belly.
She suddenly remembered that Grey hadn’t eaten anything from yesterday afternoon until now.
Even if it had eaten while hunting prey at night, it would have been fully digested by the night’s busyness long ago.
A wave of heartache immediately surged in her heart.
“Eat! Let’s eat first!”
Su Ran quickly spoke; right now, nothing was more important to her than filling Grey’s belly first.
After Su Ran said they were making fire to cook, Grey had already flown off excitedly.
It flew directly to the downstream of the river beach, picked up the pots, bowls, ladles, and basins from the pavilion there, and flew back with them.
Then it skillfully set up the pot on the river beach, took the flint bracelet from Su Ran, and started making fire.
Su Ran processed a large basin of seafood.
Recently, the seafood they brought back from the seaside included more sea shrimp and some small fish, and occasionally they could pick up a stranded big fish from the reef crevices.
And today, among the seafood Grey piled on the river beach, there were several dark green sea fish as long as an arm.
For breakfast, Su Ran roasted two of these sea fish, then prepared a large half-basin of seafood and made seafood soup.
The staple was one roasted white-headed sheep and four roasted green soap fruits.
These foods were all things Grey liked to eat.
