Chapter 8: White Fox Female
Su Ran had a sweet black dream.
In the dream, she sat at the dining table at home, and mom brought a plate of freshly stewed ribs.
Dad used chopsticks to pick one piece each for her and her younger brother, then said to her with a face full of doting affection, “Eat quickly. After you finish, Dad will drive you two to school today.”
Then mom suddenly pulled out two small cakes from somewhere and handed one to her and one to her younger brother.
Mom’s voice was a bit hazy when speaking, but Su Ran still heard her say, “Today is our Ran Ran’s birthday~ When you come back in the evening, we’ll eat a big cake oh~”

A slender white finger wiped away the wetness at the corner of her eye.
Su Ran lay in the sleeping bag lined with dry grass at the bottom, looking at the dim bird’s nest ceiling above her head, slowly calming the lost emotions after waking from the dream.
Probably because it was rare to have a peaceful good sleep, the dream of returning to childhood felt so real.
The werewolf who slept next to her last night was no longer in the bird’s nest.
After zoning out enough, Su Ran sat up and quickly tidied the sleeping bag.
She had thought that sleeping next to the werewolf last night would make her sleep very restlessly. However, in fact, she had fallen asleep almost as soon as she closed her eyes and slept until dawn.

And behind this beastman, a slender female beastman with a head of silver hair was lightly carrying a gray prey on her shoulder, running towards the river beach that the werewolf had taken her to yesterday.
Su Ran looked at the snow-white fluffy big tail behind that female beastman, female fox-type beastman?
And in the open space in front, a group of little beastmen who clearly weren’t adults yet were rolling and play-fighting on the grassland.
On the other side of that open space, in those small holes dug out of the ground that Su Ran had seen yesterday, beastmen with horns on their heads were crawling out from inside.
So the holes below were also dwellings where the beastmen lived?
There were too many novel things, and for a moment Su Ran felt like her eyes weren’t enough to take it all in.
At this moment, suddenly a sound of wings flapping came from far to near, followed by the already familiar “Ao wu wu~” call above Su Ran’s head.
She quickly looked up and saw the werewolf flying in front of two other beastmen with wings, flying towards her.
In one of its hands, it was carrying a white-headed sheep that had already stopped breathing.
The werewolf returned to the bird’s nest, and upon seeing Su Ran, it first happily pulled Su Ran into its embrace, enthusiastically licked her face once, then hung Su Ran on its arm bend and flew with her towards the river beach.
There were already about ten beastmen on the river beach processing prey.
Su Ran was really a bit curious now.
These beastmen clearly still had the eating method of eating raw food, so how did they think to clean the food?
Su Ran and the werewolf’s arrival immediately drew the attention of these beastmen.
Of course, this attention was mainly directed at Su Ran.
After the werewolf drove away a male tiger-type beastman for the third time who was curious about her clothes and wanted to touch them, Su Ran couldn’t help but want to cover her face with her hand.

Su Ran turned her head to look at the werewolf standing to the side. Probably sensing Su Ran’s current embarrassment, the werewolf who had just been watching the fox-type beastman’s actions indifferently suddenly let out a low “wu wu” from its throat, the sound carrying impatient emotion.
Hearing the werewolf’s sound, the little white fox female immediately stopped comforting Su Ran. Her dainty nose tip twitched, and she bared her teeth at the werewolf.
Her mouth also had sharp fangs.
Then she “ying” once more at Su Ran before picking up her captured prey and leaving.
The werewolf had no reaction at all to the white fox female’s provocation. Seeing the white fox beastman leave, it pulled Su Ran over and spread its wings again.
In just over ten seconds, it brought Su Ran back to land on yesterday’s sweet leaf vein tree.
Was this preparing to pick more leaves for her to eat?
Su Ran hurriedly grabbed the beastman’s wrist when the beastman picked two leaves and wanted to leave with her.
